Small rooms but immaculately clean. Bed was comfortable. Compact bathroom but everything you need along with nice towels. The staff are friendly and helpful and really try to make your stay a good one. Breakfast is good with lots of choice. The wifi is good and fast. I see someone complained about the location and the building but I found it interesting. It is an apartment block, very old with worn marble steps. There is an internal courtyard but it was tidy and clean gave you an insight of where the people of Rome live. The rooms are part of an apartment and there was a bit of noise but most people retire fairly early after a long day exploring Romes' sites and we slept ok. Never heard any traffic noise. Perfect for a short stay in Rome. Not luxury but very good.
The reviews of this place on internet are pretty good, so we were surprised after arrival to the location. Very dirty gate to the inner patio, surrounded by rubbish boxes. It does not looked appealing. There was no lift from the ground floor. Furthermore even we contacted to person with regards to the booking she could not speak English, I believe she was Russian. She called some Indian men, and they took us upstairs to show the rooms. The hell of dirty ugly rooms, where the hostel quality would be better, and quite dark small bathrooms. Avoid.
I was extremely disappointed in La Casa Di Amy. Of the 4 hotels I stay at during a recent trip to Italy and for which I paid around the same nightly rate. This is the only one that did not live up to promises. La Casa Di Amy promotes itself as a guest house, but it is not a guest house it is a disparate set of rooms in an old and not very well maintained building near the railway station in Rome. My Booking Confirmation said my room would have a mini bar, television, iron and a hairdryer included The 'mini-bar' was a very small, quite old, refridgerater sitting by itself against a wall with nothing in it, and not plugged in. This was not a mini bar it was a small fridge! The television was also very small, and at La Casa Di Amy only Italian TV channels are available, so no CNN or BBC. It is a very long time since I stayed in a hotel/'guest house' that did not offer these two channels as a minimum. There was no iron in the room as promised. When I requested an iron, the iron and a very old, dillapidated ironing board were sent, but then removed later that day. The actual ironing board was hardly usable. The iron wasn't too bad. Best of all was the hair dryer. There was a hairdryer in my room. I decided to test it out, prior to using it on my last day at La Casa Di Amy. When I plugged it in, it 'blew' all the power in my room, so there was no hot water for a shower or any electricity at all. The proprieter did offer to extend my check out time , while it was fixed, but I had a train to catch and could not wait. I just wanted to get out of there. There are no inhouse telephones at Casa Di Amy, if you need to speak to the front office or need assistance, you need to go down to the reception area, which is very inconvenient and involves unlocking and going through 3 doors and going out into the street and then back in again. As a last comment, my room looked nothing like the room advertised on the Casa Di Amy site and as displayed above. In brief, Disappointing Terri D
This place was perfect for our 3 night stay in Rome. Our hosts were super professional, helpful and informative. The room exceeded my expectations with all the attributes of a 4 star hotel. The breakfast was all was great. The location was perfect , close to the main station in a safe and thriving area. Easy walk to most of central Rome with the colosseum being a short walk .An abundant selection of restaurants and bars check out the mercato central for sure. Overall perfect for us
We stayed twice here in 3 weeks and always were welcomed as old friends. It's so near Termini Station, you can easily arrive by foot. It's a family owned business and Youri, who is the son has always a smile and is the kindest and most helpfull person. Our room was very comfortable, spacious, very clean, super clean bathroom. The breakfast is included, and it is really very good and sufficient. I really just can say the best about this friendly hotel.
This was our second time staying here in as many years, for just one night, due to its location just two blocks from Termini station for early morning departures. It's a family-owned business, and the same son, Youri, welcomed us back as if we were family! Our room was spacious and clean, the bed is amazingly comfortable, and it was surprisingly quiet at night! Very safe building with lift. Next time we will have to stay longer so that we can take advantage of their reputed breakfasts!
Friendly Hotel. Friendly Staff. Very welcoming. Rooms very nice but located inside a residential building. Breakfast layout is over complicated along with loud music. the self service coffee/Tea machine is not self service. Have to wait for some to make a drink for you.
My daughter and I stayed here for the second year in a row in order to catch an early train to Fiumicino the next morning. We enjoy walking and re-visiting our favorite places in Rome before turning in. The son who welcomes us is super nice and the room has excellent a/c, wi-fi and a comfortable bed. The price is extremely reasonable and the area very safe.
We stayed at La Casa Di Amy for 3 nights. 14 of us. This Guest House is the best of the best in Rome. They could not do enough for us. It is very close to the Termini. 10 minute walk. Miky sorted out a restaurant for us as there were 14 of us and organised a cake for my husband. Staff were polite and lovely. We had lots little treats in our room to celebrate husbands 50th. Which was such a lovely touch. I can't recommend this hotel enough. Fabulous. 😀😀 we will definitely stay here again and again if we return to Rome in the future. Thank you Miky and family at La Casa Di Amy. 😀 you made our stay special 🏛 🏟👍🥂
