We stayed for two nights in mid may and were more than happy; across the road from where we had stayed previously. Great location, close to the Trevi Fountain (300 metres) Spanish Steps (800 metres) and a variety of public transport. Although tucked away in a small back street, it is close to fantastic restaurants and gives those of you that want to walk the option to access nearly all of the major attractions in a matter of minutes; e.g. the Pantheon is about a 15 to 20 minute walk and the most direct route will take you past the Trevi. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.
This is a basic hotel i wouldn't say 4* hotel at all. The bed was hard the room was small and walls are paper thin. No life in the hotel, every time i went past reception they were either playing on there mobiles or chatting on the phone. The location is in the main tourist part near the trevi. If u just want cheap and basic go for it. If you want even a tiny bit of wow look elsewhere.
We stayed here for a long weekend in June. Our room was cleaned daily, and the staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful. The breakfast was nice, don't expect a full English. Lunch out wasn't the best and pricey. We found it much better going to the coop opposite, making our own lunch and keeping it in the little fridge in the room overnight for the next day. Also 1/3 of the price. The location was second to none! We were the first drop off from the airport, which is always nice. We had a 5minute walk to the trevi fountain, and a 10minute walk to the Spanish steps and all the shops. The metro and hop on hop off bus were also just a 5 minute walk. There's a lot of walking around Rome so if you get back to the hotel late after a long day, the restaurant next door was actually the tastiest meal we had all weekend. Negatives The room could really do with a coat of paint. The colour was a bit drab and needed a freshen up. All in all if your looking for a long weekend in Rome, I would highly recommend this hotel. We would definitely stay here again 👍.
We stayed in mid-May 2017 for about 5 nights and it was the perfect stay for our first time in Rome. It was so close to the Trevi fountain and not too far from the Pantheon, Campo di Fiori and Piazza Navona. The hotel was clean, more spacious than I had imagined (we had a room with triple twin beds) and the staff was helpful. My mom had a slight issue with the man that works the desk being rude, but it was only the one time. The breakfast is also great. I know they say don't eat hotel breakfast, but this helped us save money and time. The lady in charge of the breakfast is also very sweet. She doesn't speak much English, but if she doesn't understand you, she's very patient in trying to resolve things. They do have free wifi, but we found it to be "spotty" at certain times of the day. However, we successfully FaceTimed from the hotel a few times, so it does work! We were on the first floor with a window facing the back, so it was quiet, but the street in front of the hotel is also very quiet. There are many restaurants nearby, but check out reviews before eating at them. ALSO, if you really want to eat somewhere near this hotel, make reservations. While Trevi is still a ways away, this area still gets a lot of foot traffic. We walked everywhere from this hotel, except from the Airport and to Termini Station. A taxi was about 11 Euros to Termini. Make sure to have the hotel call a cab to avoid the taxi scammers. If you are trying to decide how to get here from Fiumicino, I highly recommend contacting the hotel for a shuttle service. It was like a taxi, but it was there waiting for us when we arrived and it was a flat rate of 60 euros (with three people and luggage!). Our driver was phenomenal and made our introduction to Rome start out right! He didn't work for the hotel, but we felt very safe. He even was a little bit of a tour guide, but it helped that he spoke English well. I would recommend this hotel to any first timers to Rome or return visitors.
Friendly, helpful staff. Set near to Trevi fountain,Spanish steps, and a short walk to the Roman amphitheatre. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and breakfasts are Buffett style with ample choice.beds are comfortable, shower good. I would certainly stay at this hotel again.
Just back from4 nights in this hotel, which is located about 5 minutes from the Trevi Fountain, which is just far enough to be away from the worst of the crowds! Its also 5 minutes from the Hop On Hop Off bus stops, very handy for getting around Rome. Room was okay size for the middle of Rome, large bed and modern bathroom with good shower pressure. Breakfast was okay, adequate but nothing special. Would we stay again, yes we would
In the very center of historical Rome within a walking distance from most sights, a very clean, warm & modern hotel with all comforts, a decent breakfast buffet, good wifi receprion & polite staff. The room was a little small but the price very reasonable for such a great location!
Simple, not sure I would class as a 4 star, clean, small room, breakfast was fine. Just a bit underwhelmed, nothing to complain about but equally nothing to get excited about apart from it being in a great location in an amazing city that is totally awesome.
I happened to book the triple room for a short 3 day visit with friends, the hotel is a few blocks from the Barberini station, and the Trevi fountain, this is an excellent location for anyone that wants to be near nice and tourist spots. The hotel is situated in a small street adjacent to the main street where buses and stores are. There is also a supermarket very closed and two restaurants. I went to one of those and the food was great but pricey, I will do a separate review. As for the hotel, the room was very small but comfortable and super clean, the window view, well, only for air since it was in front of a roof with the ventilation system or something like that. It's winter so it was closed. The heating in the room was good but for some reason kept switching to less. It was ok though. The bathroom was probably upgraded recently because it looked more modern than the room decor, it was well stocked with the toiletries and even a bidet. The breakfast area was vert small, but it was sufficient, as the hotel is not big. The breakfast variety was very good with breads, cold cuts and cheeses, eggs, sausages and spreads, fresh fruits, juices and coffee, just something to mention is that the lady was a bit discourteous or maybe she was having a bad day, she kept staring so indiscreetly that I had to ask her if there was something she needed to tell me. After that she had a much nicer attitude. Beware to put croissants on the toaster, I was told it was only for bread. The coffee was good but the machine leaked. The hotel staff was nice and the housemaid was really attentive to ask if we didn't want service as we put the do not disturb sign and didn't need for the stay so she wanted to make sure. There is actually nothing wrong to say so I am pleased we picked this hotel and would stay there if we go to Rome again. There is a small drinking water fountain outside in the street corner which I found absolutely lovely.
We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Our room was very comfortable, nicely decorated, very cool bathroom. It's really close to all major sight seeing attractions, we walked everywhere! Excellent breakfast every morning and lots of restaurants close by.
