Stayed here last year in a single room- it was the smallest room I have ever stayed in so I learnt my lesson and went for a double room. Good size ,quiet and clean. This place is handy to so many of the major sights. Breakfast is adequate and the bowl of fruit in the room is a nice touch. Staff are welcoming, friendly and helpful. Will definitely return here.
Nice modern and clean hotel, great price, free breakfast Free snacks in lobby Friendly staff 3 minutes from trevi fountain. Great location, walking distance to several of the monuments in Rome, safe neighbourhood Highly recomended
Hotel was very close to walk to all the sights of Rome. Very clean hotel. Staff were very helpful and informative. Welcome drink and snack was much appreciated. Breakfast was tasty too. Thanks very much for helping us enjoy our trip to Rome.
Stayed here for 2 nights. Staff are lovely, professional and accomodating. We booked here last minute due to leaving our other booked accomodation as it was horrible. We stayed in the Superior Double it was quiet, bed was comfortable (which is a big thing for me when travelling) bathrooms great size with a good shower. Would highly recommend staying here.
I booked to stay here for 3 nights as a solo traveller as it was central and reasonably priced. Generally a nice enough hotel, I had the smallest hotel room I've ever seen but to be honest it was a perfect size for just one person and was always very clean. It's a 5 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain and has nice restaurants and gelateria's close by too. The breakfast gives a good selection of options. I only have 2 things that I wasn't too happy with. 1) Being asked for my room number every time I entered or left the hotel, unnecessary I feel after the first time. 2) Being woken up every morning I was there before 8am by maintenance men hammering. I understand that repairs have to be made but is it really necessary to do it that early?? People are on holiday and a rude awakening is not welcomed. Otherwise, a pleasant enough stay.
I was in Rome for a few days and I have to say that what added to the experience was this small hotel. Excellent location. You can walk everywhere so just wear comfortable shoes. The hotel is clean, well kept and well staffed. Yes it’s family friendly. The breakfast served is more than sufficient and is always served fresh. Enjoy Rome !! It’s an amazing city with many many sites. The shopping is fantastic but it’s the food that stands out. Like I said Hotel Memphis is more than enough with a spacious room and bathroom area. The staff is kind and so attentive. I’ll visit again soon for sure 🌟💖🌟
Hotel Memphis is in an ideal location near Piazza Barberini. It is a short 5 minute walk to the Spanish Steps and 10 minutes to Trevi Fountain. The Metro is just a block away. We even walked to the Coliseum at night in 20 minutes. Very safe neighborhood too. The room was clean and cozy and the breakfast buffet had many varieties to chose from and was well maintained and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful! Good location with great value! .
Perfect location, walking distance to everything you want to see. Lots of white fluffy towels. Towels and bed linen changed every day. Beds are comfortable (if you like firm). Friendly and helpful staff in reception. Good selection of choices at breakfast....and a very nice restaurant next door
Me and two of my friends traveled to Rome in Oct. 2018. We stayed at The Hotel Memphis. It is a charming small hotel in the center of everything. You can miss the hotel at first glance because it is located on a corner of a small alley, but it is in a very safe area. The Hotel is sounded my restaurants, shops, and a 5 minute walk to the Trevi Fountain. The woman at the front desk every morning was very pleasant. They provided a typical European breakfast (eggs, ham, salami, cereal, yogurt, cheese, toast, and juice). They even had snacks in the lobby for you to eat when you would arrive back at the hotel after a long day of sightseeing. Even though the beds are very hard, the room was perfect for three adults (three twin beds in the room). The bathroom was a nice size and clean. For those of you traveling to Rome for the first time you will need to put your key in the slot next to the door inside the room in order to turn on the room lights. Watch tv is not easy each day because you have to try and convert the station to English and not all stations could be converted. If you want to take an Uber from your hotel, you should leave your hotel and go to the corner so the Uber drive can pick up the proper location signal. Not all of the Uber drivers could find the hotel because it is on a one way street. But overall we would stay at this hotel again. It was a great location for the money we paid. I even left an important item behind as we were traveling to another city and the hotel staff was great at retrieving the item and having it shipped back to my home. By the time I arrived back from Italy my item was waiting for me on my front porch. Wonderful customer service!
We stayed in the Memphis hotel in Rome for 3 nights and enjoyed our stay very much all the staff were friendly and helpful . We stayed B&B and found the hotel very clean and comfortable the breakfast was continental and was very good with plenty of variety. The hotel was very central very close to sightseeing bus stop and public transport, and shopping.I would stay in the Memphis again if I travel to Rome because of its location which is excellent for a short break when you are out most of the day sightseeing. There are also good Italian resturaunts at either side of the hotel and nearby.
