Booked this hotel based on reasonable price and proximity to the Vatican and city centre. We arrived in Rome via the Leonardo Airport Express from Fiumicino (tip: there are ticket machines on the platform, no need to queue at the machines in the Airport Terminal) The train arrives at Termini where we transferred onto the Metro (tip: to purchase a travel pass use the ticket machines in the Metro hall below Termini, not the machines in the main hall at street level) We bought the seven-day cards as we stayed for a week. These were very convenient to hop on and off the metro, busses and trams. The hotel is approx. 10 mins walk from Ottaviano metro station. It is situated in a residential side street and you definitely feel you're outside the main tourist area here. Further along the street you come to a disused market building which is a bit creepy at night. If you turn right when facing this building and walk up the road to the main junction and turn left, there is a Carrefour Express supermarket which is very handy. We had a problem with the A/C in our room on our first night which wasn't handled very well by the staff (given a key to a different room only to find that once we'd packed our cases and gone to the new room that it hadn't been cleaned or made-up after the previous guests had left - had to go back to our old room and unpack again!) We were moved the next day (again after a lot of hassle, promised new room would be ready by 2pm and our bags moved - came back at 3pm and nothing had been done!) Once installed in our new room we were very happy for the rest of our stay - spacious room, comfy bed, nice bathroom. The 'music' theme is a bit gimmicky, would have preferred a proper bedside table rather than a snare drum! We tried the breakfast on the first morning, pretty basic selection but fair value for money. For getting to and from the hotel, the number 70 bus is very handy as it stops close to the hotel. It takes you into the centre of Rome and on to Termini so we used it to get back there on our departure day, easier than lugging the suitcases back to the Metro! The 23 from the same stop is also good to get to the Vatican and down to Trastevere. We used these two busses quite often to get back to the hotel after a day out exploring. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and would stay again despite the 'glitch' with our room.

Helpful and welcoming personnel and comfortable room. Very clean. close to the vatican. Very original design, all decorated with instruments!!!!!! I will definitely go there next time I'll be in Rome.

Really unique hotel in the city. Very close to the Vatican, maybe 20 minutes walking. The gentleman at the front desk speaks okay English but is very helpful and friendly. He helped us find the metro and told us where we could park to avoid the dreaded ZTLs. Parking deck is about 5 minutes walking. It's a little weird to get used to in Rome, but parking decks keep your keys so they can rearrange the cars and fit as many as possible. But our car was fine and we had no trouble picking it back up. The beds are a bit firm, but that seemed to be the case everywhere we stayed in Italy. Room was jazz themed, we had snare drum night stands and a disco ball in the bathroom. They have a decent breakfast with several types of pastries. Also corn flakes. Blood orange juice seems to be the normal in Italy as well.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights - one double room & one triple room. The rooms were well equipped with some quirky furnishings in line with the theme of music. The hotel was clean and staff friendly and I noted from other guests that it is a 'dog friendly' hotel. The breakfast room is small, but clean and the continental style breakfast was good - I would probably look to change the layout as during busy times there was quite a wait to get coffee/tea or make toast. The hotel might benefit from a better reception seating area but that's just my thought. The location was good for the Vatican and close to the metro - I would stay there again.

Stayed here for 4 nights in June and wasn't disappointed. Room was lovely, bed was a decent size. Fridge was re-filled everyday free of charge. Limited choice breakfast wise but food was spot on. 10 minutes walk to Vatican which was handy, close to decent places to eat. Would 100% stay here again.

Three of us stayed at this lovely hotel from Wednesday till Saturday last week, what a friendly clean hotel. Staff were exceptionally friendly especially reception, maid, and lady who staffed the breakfasts , all were very helpful. The room was very clean with complimentary soap, and a hairdryer in the bathroom. Tv and CD player in the room also. Lovely small courtyard at the back of the hotel to eat breakfast or just relax in. Situated close to restaurants and about 15 minutes walk from the Vatican .

The staff were lovely. There was a mishap with our room as we did not get the room we thought we had booked. The website needs to show you better details of triple rooms. It was rectified for our second night. Great staff and a really funky hotel. Close to Vatican

I thought with was a very nice boutique hotel. My kids loved the musical theme and the staff were very helpful. Our breakfast wasn't included with our stay but we chose to eat there twice as the food was super fresh and included local meats and cheeses. The disco ball in the bathroom is pretty great! Close to the metro and 15 min. walk to the Vatican.

I love this hotel, very quint! Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Rooms are modern and super clean! It's a Hidden Gem!! Love it!!! Love the music theme!! Love sitting in the courtyard to regroup, who says that travel can be relaxing!!

Selected this hotel cause stayed here a couple of years ago (the hotel was managed by Best Western). In general I'm not the fan of hotels in Rome: or this is a small old cage or it is a decent room that costs a fortune, especially if you're travelling during holiday season. So this hotel has simple and nice interior, located close to metro, Vatican and stop of the shuttle going to Fiumicino, in general - district is populated by locals and some chinese, no annoying crowds of tourists. District looks old and rich, 1-2 km walk to main attractions (Vatican and Piazza del Popolo). Bathrooms are large and have disco-ball for funny effect. Breakfast is not reach but you have quite everything: selection of cheese, meats, some tomatoes, lots of pastry and jams, decent coffee, welcoming personnel. Guests are mainly italian families visiting capital city but staying away from large crowds. The only drawback is that on one night our room simply was not clean and we were not relocated. But as an excuse we've got a discount of EUR 40 (stay of Dec31-Jan3, 2 pax cost us ca. EUR 360 incl. breakfast after discount). But in mid-season you'll find this 3 star hotel much cheaper. Nice place to stay!
