A meeting took over the main floor resulting in some crowding and the lack of normal amenities (water, coffee) otherwise available in the reception area. Not a positive for someone not attending the meeting.

Front desk man was so nice to book us dinner reservations to a local restaurant for us right st check in.

We were uncertain if being so close to Roma Termini would create issues, on the contrary this is not a typical Train Station. It is definitely a plus. Very practical to get to the airport with Leonardo Express Train for 14 Euros per person. Day pass for all municipal busses (which are also at Termini) and Metro underground are 7 Euro for 24 hours (all these tickets can be purchased from the newspaper stand inside the terminal, the gentleman at the kiosk is the most polite, smiling, helpful person) The Palazzo Cinquecento is a 3 year old relatively new building, owned and managed by one of Europes most professional hoteliers. There are some minor issues in the rooms. One irritating issue is the sensor activated lights above the minibar and they turn on for a minute every time one walks to the bathroom at night and disturbs the sleeping partner. Second technical secret is the tone in tone, hard to notice on/off button on the side of the coffee machine. Most important is the cleanliness of the rooms. We noticed spotty cups, not perfectly cleaned toilet, hair clogged shower drain. This is probably the housekeeping which was not "excellent". We had only one serving of good night chocolate and none the two others... RECEPTION personnel are very helpful and kind, however the questions answered by the phone operators (dial zero) are unprofessional. When I asked "where do I get the Leonardo Express ticket, she said the red machines in the terminal.. (not correct)

From arrival to departure impeccable attention to making sure we were well accommodated and serviced. Speedy service on all requests made from room changes to add headcount, to getting us taxi and train info. Staff friendly and on point! Hotel directly adjacent to Train station of Rome which made it another plus for us traveling from city to city. Highly recommend.

First things first, the hotel is right behind the train station. A 2-3 minute walk. Most times this can be a bad thing but with a surrounding fence we never felt unsafe. So make your decision accordingly. The hotel staff were generally unfriendly and our room was not ready in time. While we waited we tried to get coffe at the restaurant. Waited 5-8 minutes to get sat in an empty place, tables were dirty and got sat at a dirty table when there were a few clean tables we could have been directed to. They brought us snacks from another table... gross! Lastly the cappuccino was barely warm. Pros: Rooms were clean which was nice and felt safe, nothing was stolen. Cons: Water pressure was the worst I have ever experienced. A trickle at times, no joke. And like all of Italy the beds are hard. After waiting for our room our keycard didn't work and we were more than pleasant during the check in process.

Planned this trip for my daughter and myself. I couldn't have picked a better location for a hotel right next to the Termini station. Always buses, cabs and of course the trains. Hotel was lovely and served a generous breakfast buffet

excellent location for easy public transport
