Improved since my December 2013 trip, particularly staff attitude. Housekeeping service was especially good, which I noted as I am a housekeeping manager. One service Snafu. When I asked one desk clerk in the morning if he would break a 50 Euro note he simply said no. No explanation or offer of other service . Just no. Resembled a thinner younger Helmut Kohl. Name tags would be nice on staff. Everyone else was more than helpful.

Had a great trip The view from our Room of Vatican City was amazing at night. Brunch in the morning was outstanding with that same incredible view.

Good location with easy access to bus routes. Nice breakfast terrace with wonderful views of the city.

Not as good as my previous stay there. First room was covered with ants. When I mentioned the problem I was given a can of ant spray. That did not work. When I came back at night the ants were out in full force.I had told the front desk where the ants were and clearly expected them to check the situation and if not addressed take care of it themselves as a matter of course.Plus the room stank of the spray. I had left the window open to air it out, but when the room was serviced the maid had closed the window, even though it was be no means aired out. I asked for and got a room change promptly but was not offered any help with room changing, which, as I am in the hotel business, we ALWAYS offer a guest without their having to ask. Plus no apology for the situation or any offer of adjustment or service offering. The staff seemed more embarrassed by the situation than helpful. I had recommend this hotel to an executive at my company who will be coming to Rome in the spring. I am now in the position of having to rescind my suggestion to him, which is somewhat awkward having to do.

Nice older property near the Pincian hill. Outstanding breakfast with a gorgeous view of Rome from the sixth floor. Superb location. Staff was friendly and professional. The main drawbacks were very worn down furnishings in the room. The headboard came loose from the wall and several pieces of furniture were missing details and parts. For starters there was a missing cap from the base of the toilet and the stuffed chair was missing pieces of detailing. There were at least eight other such deficiencies. I am a housekeeping manager myself and I would strongly suggest a significant budget appropriation for FFE in the near term.

Hotel Eliseo was superb. The lounge areas in the lobby and the exquisite breakfast room were delightful. The desk staff were so helpful for tours and advice. They promptly changed our room when electrical outlets failed. Beautiful bathrooms and hotel and room super clean. I will gladly return.

I did not enjoy my stay at the Eliseo. The bedding was dirty, the whole room was dusty, and we were invaded by ants. Considering this is a "4 star" hotel and the price we paid, this was a terrible value. It's a great location and good breakfast, but this hotel did not have much else going for it.

Had it not been for some construction or work that began very early every morning, the experience would have been perfect.

We loved our stay at the Eliseo Hotel for 3 wonderful days.... A great value with Room and Breakfast included.... the panoramic view of Rome from the breakfast room is breathtaking!!!

Great location, charming old world ambience, congenial staff and plentiful (albeit repetitive) morning breakfast were pluses; tiny cramped room, worn carpeting, small beds (almost at floor level) and half-hearted ventilation were minuses. If you need internet connectivity, or plan to work in your room, or are quick to find fault, go elsewhere. If you are into "value" , this place scores high--in a town where so little qualfies as a good deal

Courteous staff. Sanitation leaves much to be desired. The fridge in the room (mini bar) had fungus/ mold. Also the fruit served at breakfast was rotting in water. Otherwise, great location, good food, elegant rooms and very nice staff.

This hotel gives a great experience in a great location right near the Villa Borghese and the Spanish steps. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful and spoke very good English. The facilities, while more than adequate, were not on par with the staff. The WiFi was only functional in the lobby and the beds were less than comfortable. The breakfast room view is spectacular. The breakfast was okay.

We stayed here for four nights. The rooms are very small and in desperate need of renovation. The bed was not very comfortable and the towels were low quality. The room did not have air conditioning. The hotel is located on the edge of the city's center. You can walk to all of the major historic sites, though some of them are quite a hike. The hotel includes a continental breakfast. This was the best part of our stay. Please plan upon paying city taxes upon your departure. For us, it was 24 euros for 4 days.

everythinf was as portrayed on their website. Breakfast was a bonus

Area around the hotel has good shops and places to eat. A little bit off the path for bus pickup, requiring you to walk a bit more. Staff is nice but not well attuned to booking tours.

Although typical tiny European size, everything else was 4-star: full time free Internet; brand new marble bathroom and new windows; comfortable bed; safe, etc. New HDTV with a couple of English speaking channels as well. The staff was exemplery, acting as Concirege as well as "desk clerk" on several occasions. Very nice, large lounge are in the lobby for reading, TV watching, reading, as well as an American Bar. The location was perfect; just a few steps from the top of Via Veneto and Harry's Bar; both Rome icons, and the reason I chose it in the first place.

This hotel is small and cozy. And yes, the barman is nice and super friendly. Don't expect all the comforts you would get from the big chains (cotton sheets, big pillows, comfy bed, nice tv, etc.) but if you are just looking for a clean place to sleep that is close to all of the tourist attractions and within walking distance to most. Just up the hill from the Spanish Steps and close to the Villa Borghese. Room was small but the breakfast included for the price is on the top of the hotel with a nice view and a great way to start the day.

This hotel had a nice location with relatively easy access to bus service to metro or within a short walk. Nice area within walking to Spanish Steps and Trevi fountain. Good breakfast selection with a nice view of the city from the top floor. Rooms were average size for European accommodations and relatively comfortable. Hot water flow needed to be adjusted occasionally, but was plenty of hot water. No real amenities at the hotel itself, but felt it was a great value.

The staff was exceptional. Friendly and knows what you need before you even ask. The only problem we had were the beds were a little hard, but that is normal among most hotels.

very good location!good food we like very much. if we go to rome agin we will stay here for real.
