Stayed four nights. The room size was ok but as with a lot of hotels, run down a bit. The walls were very thin so I could hear everything in the next room which was very annoying. There is no lift in the building so ask for a ground floor room unless you want some good exercise each day. Breakfast was the usual continental stuff and ok. Staff was very helpful and polite - always smiling and friendly. Must say this would not be my first choice but location is good, especially for FAO and the rooms size and wi-if were a positive

We stayed six nights there and we enjoyed everything. Location: It is right next to a church. Walkable distance to the orange garden, bus and tram stops, and FAO. Room: it was spacious with a balcony. It was clean and well maintained every day. The aircon worked in both ways: aircon and heater, which is the best facility during our chilly stay. Staff: they all speak good English as my italian was limited. The receptionists were very helpful with directions and bus tickets. Renato at breakfast was the best, he answered all our questions and he made us like we were home again. Breakfast: It was basic: fresh coffee and fruits are the best. Price: Reasonable. Wifi: Worked fine in room, lobby and breakfast.

This hotel was booked as a birthday surprise for me which endeed to be very dissapointing. The good thing about the stay is the friendly man who was present at breakfast time(sorry forgot his name) and a large room after i mentioned to the reception guy that we have ants in the room, he was so rude and annoyed because i asked him to change my room( which i believe is in my right as i am paying for a room not to share with the ants :) In the end he changed because he didnt have another choise as i was extremely furios how somebody can try to convince to stay in such a room . I would recomend to be very careful and to report to the reception from the beginning about your problem. I am working in this industry and there is a way to solve the problem and to make the guest happy despide of any kind of issue.

I had a five day reservation (10-14 December 2018) made for me at Domus Aventina, for business purposes. The last day of my stay I returned to my room BEFORE check out time to find out that the hotel staff had removed my stuff (I had left only a handbag and some books) from the room that was still paid on my behalf. The feeble excuse was “we thought you had left for good”. No apology provided. They gave me my handbag back but my books were never found. There is no question that when a room has been booked, paid and is inhabited by someone, no hotel staff has the right to remove, let alone STEAL OR LOSE any of the person’s belongings. This unacceptable, rude and anti-professional behavior was never justified.

I arranged a shuttle through the hotel on my arrival, even though I arrived at 1am was greeted by a friend front desk clerk. The room was clean and served it's purpose, breakfast is a little disappointing with a poor selection but the breakfast staff are friendly and very helpful. Good location and area as well, a nice walking distance to all the major attractions with a hop on hop off bus stop only 700 metres away

they can arrange for a car to meet you at the airport ...they make a wonderful coffee. They even found the cab in which I left my gloves and had them returned to me. Walk to all the major attractions of the old center. People watch at the after Christmas sales .

The room was clean and well maintained. The staff, particularly the one handling the breakfast were great. They had a ready smile, a great disposition, made you feel at home. Coffee pot was made with every order (not pre-brewed), great! Breakfast was basic, can't complain. The only downside I had was the extremely slow internet connection, all over (room or breakfast place). It was sooooooo slow. If you intend to get some work done, or simply checking your email, get some coffee, sit back. It is also beside a church. Very good.

A unhappy clerk would not let me check in into the hotel with my us id/dl even if i had a room already reserved in my name. He was the only person that was working at 7pm into this hotel. I’be been in over 50 hotels in italy, i’m italian, only with my Usa id, since i avoid traveling with my passport. Nothing i could do i left but before i asked “don’t charge my card since i’m here and you are the one not letting me sleep here”. Answer was “Nothing has been charged”. Few days later i saw they charged me the room and they claimed my id was expired (was not). Avoid

I have generously given this hotel a 3 rating. It is. Located in a wonderful neighborhood and within easy walking to the coliseum and many wonderful restaurants. With a good renovation this could be a decent place to stay. The bathroom was upgraded and clean with a tiny shower. The room we had was #22 and really needed the upgrade. The beds had the old type bedspreads that give me the willies not knowing when or if it was changed between guests. On the plus side there was a large patio with table and chairs that would be great in the warmer weather. Breakfast was included in our room rate but was disappointing without any hot food offering. Juice, pastries, yogurt and coffee was the fare. Overall a safe, clean hotel that served its purpose for the oneee night we required.

The hotel is close by a metro, so it is easy to get from there to everywhere. The Colosseum is at walking distance. Nice restaurants and supermarkets around the corner. The rooms are a bit outdated, but clean, with a balcony and AC Breakfast is good. The man at the breakfast makes great cappuccino's and is very nice! Good hotel for a weekend trip to Rome!
