We stayed for 1 night, our plans changed and we moved hotel. Cannot fault the hotel for a 1 night stay, clean and comfortable rooms. A bit far of a walk from the city centre but lots of taxis at the train station about €7 (and a fun drive 🙈) to Pantheon. The hotel is on a loud street so ear plugs might help light sleepers. 4 pillows provided which was great. Shower and toilet separated. They have an elevator. Kettle in the room but no tea/coffee that I could find. Didn't have breakfast. Would probably try for something closer to city centre for a similar price.
We spent one overnight at Hotel California, after arriving at FCO airport in Rome, before heading further into Italy. Convenient -- two blocks from the Termini station, an easy walk, and a decent neighborhood to walk in, with restaurants, etc. along the two blocks. The room was small, but the layout and design made it feel very adequate for space, rather than tight. Good bathroom. Decent breakfast from 7 to 10. Friendly and helpful desk staff. Overall, a good place to sleep.
Wonderful Hotel for our first trip to Italy. Staff was excellent. The breakfast was so good. The room was to die for. We looked out of window for beautiful towers and the Domme. We will definitely stay here again.
The hotel california is just a walking distance from Roma Termini. Going there you will pass lots of restaurants/pizzerias. The location is well situated since its near lots of eating places and there are some small convenience shops as well just within walking distance. The hotel is air conditioned including the rooms. You will need to pay city tax which you need to pay in hotels in rome. A lift is available to take you to your rooms . Our room was nice... a small safe box, there were dividers where u can place your things and can hang your clothes. A kettle was provided although no complimentary coffee or tea and mugs is present. A nice surprise is the presence of a bible which surprised me ( which made me realize I'm in Rome ). Shower and toilet is separated. The only thing which I find uncomfortable is the shower it is quite small and it is tinted glass so it doesn' t offer much privacy and since it is small you've got no where to hang your towel or clothes. The wifi is not that great. Toiletries are provided. If your room is situated up facing the street ( which is where our room is ) it gets noisy during the evenings - dinner time since it is where open dining pizzerias are located.
This hotel is within walking distance of many attractions and has a friendly staff and is very reasonably priced right on las ramblas. I forgot my converter and they were happy to loan me one. You won't be disappointed.
I only stayed for one night because I moved to another hotel and stayed with my brother and sister-in-law the next day. The bed was huge and very comfortable. The good thing I like is they separated the bathroom and toilet . The lights in the room can change depending on your mood ;). Be aware that when you out of Termini station please don't go to Via Marsala exit but opposite, there are full of strange and gangster-look like people on the streets. It does give the impression that the area isn't that safe. Yes the hotel is located in a very busy area but it is safe. The reception was friendly. I didn't have the breakfast so cannot comment on that . I would stay in this hotel again. It is a reasonable, good place to stay .
Wonderful hotel in a great location. Very close to sites and also close to train and bus station which takes you all over Italy. Blown away by Edwardo's customer service. Full of touristy information, more than willing to help and always with a smile. Beautiful and very comfortable family room. Thank you for making our stay in Rome one to remember! We'll see you again!
We stayed here in September. It was a beautiful hotel within a stunning city! The room was excellent. Spacious and well decorated! The hotel itself is located centrally and is maintained well. It is easy to access all the famous sites. The train station is only a 5 minute walk from the hotel which is a plus. The staff were excellent. Eduardo looked after us perfectly. Thank you for your care and attention to detail. We didn't eat at the hotel and so cannot comment on the food. Everything was perfect! If we are in the area again we will definitely be back!
The hotel location is great for public transportation, about 7-10min walking from the Roma Termini station. The reception staff was great with us, providing information and tips. We had a room at 5th floor. It was clean and comfie enough. Breakfast was not included, but had a reasonable price if we wanted to have it.
We have stayed here before so knew what to expect. Located very close to Termini station and easy walking distance to many of Rome's highlights. There are many restaurants in the area, although our favourite is in Barberini which is an easy 15min walk each way. The rooms are modern, comfortable and clean.
