Staff was friendly. I felt like family. Better than a hotel

Great place and it right next to the entrance to the ruins. The restaurant is really good and within walking distance of shopping. It was very clean and the staff were great. We got in really late and attendant met us at the door and brought us water.

Pine cleaner smell, bed was sunk in. Staff unfriendly no help with luggage, No alarm clock in room, electric sockets for iPod not in bedroom.

In a not so good neighborhood but close to public transportation which is a plus. Breakfast serve is very good. The room is clean and new. The staff should smile more and should make their guests feel at home. They should talk to their guests more. They seem lack hospitality. The people outside are more hospitable and cheerful.

We were there and the location was great, near from the subway. Excelent service!

We chose this hotel for the location and price. I looked at Trip Advisor before I selected it and it received really good reviews. It was really worth it. My husband and I were extremely happy with the service. The room was small but I knew it would be from TA. The main thing I liked was that it was really clean. We would definitely stay there again.

The location was great, close to the train station (not as seedy as some reviews lead to believe) and we were able to walk to everything we wanted to see. The room was beautiful, but small by American standards, not a problem for us. The outdoor terraces were great, the breakfast was very good, and the staff was great. Would stay there again, it was a great value.

This hotel was great, all employees went above and beyond best service at any European hotel ever! The rooms were small but all nicely maintained. Breakfast was simple but good, location was within a few minute walking to metro and bus stations, but a little away from all the herds of tourist, which for us was good, you'll get the chance to dine at places you wouldnt normally find. This hotel is great for anyone on a budget and if you don't mind staying a little bit off the beaten track.

We booked "Best Hotel Roma" in December 2010 for our March trip to Italy based on pricing and reviews [...]. Thirty days before arriving we requested and received via email a confirmation for our night at "Best Hotel Roma", which was the last night of our 25 days in Italy. Upon arrival we were informed of a "problem"…there were no rooms in the hotel, so we were placed in a substandard room with a couch that converted to a bed in the property next door "owned by the hotel". When I complained about the room I was given the choice of another room in the basement of the same building, which was smelly and dark and also just had a fold out bed. I complained again and was told that I might have a room in a couple of hours…so we went to eat and then for a long walk only to return to same situation. The manager offered us dinner (but we had just eaten a late lunch) or transfer to the airport, which we took for compensation…all while we stood watching other guests being checked into their nice rooms in the main hotel. It seems that "Best Hotel Roma" does not know the definition of RESERVATION or CONFIRMATION but after 25 days on the road we took the airport transfer and stayed in the substandard room with the fold out bed, no TV, no hair dryer, no Wi-Fi, no trash can, a sink that would not drain and a shower that my wife refused to use, all while being serenaded by the street bums, traffic and the tram. Our last night in Rome was our worst night while staying at "Worst" Hotel Roma.

The service was the biggest problem for us. The other couple we were staying with had a horrible experience with their room but our room was quite nice. Fairly spacious, very clean and modern. There's a nice outdoor patio area in the back. The staff was half good, half terrible. The terrible staff was mostly in the evening when simple requests like an extra blanket or a wake-up call was almost impossible and a very unfriendly experience. The location is a little scruffy and about 20 minutes walk from the main train station. The nearest metro is 10 minutes on foot. Not the best location for those reasons but fairly safe. Not an area for food or entertainment for sure. I would say that the value for the money is more or less right. I wouldn't, however stay here again for the incompetent service alone.

Hotel overall was clean and nice in design, the location was incorrectly advertised as close to the Colusseum, which is not really the case, even from the roof you cannot see the Colusseum.

Good location, near Termini, about 1 km to front of station (note- side door is about half the distance). Nice market at the end of the street- we bought wine, cheese, fruit, crackers, etc. for nightly picnics. Close to Metro station. Rooms were clean, remodeled and comfortable. Air conditioner worked well. Safe in closet. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet is Italian continental.

Close to Termini station, Take bus #105 to Porta Maggiore. Staff was very helpful in showing how to get arroud the city.

very small rooms, bed takes up whole room. shower overflows. front desk people useless and lie. breakfast was ok.

Rooms were small, but clean, quiet, and comfortable. Location was good. 10 minute walk to Stazione Termine, and a 5 minute walk to Manzione stop on the metro, so it is easy to get where you want to go. Staff is helpful and friendly. Continental breakfast good enough to get you going.

The hotel is not bad, but is in the middle of nothing is a really bad unsafe area of Rome. Far from everything expect to espend some cash for Taxis. The hotel staff is ok but this is not a good area to stay........

Good location and staff. Great room.

I picked this hotel because it looked like it was close to Rome's Termini Stacione. It turned out to be close to the tracks, but probably two miles from the actual station. Also, the airport shuttle is separate from the hotel. It cost us 40 EU from the airport.

We arrived in Rome after spending a month in Spain studying. It was nice to arrive in a nice Hotel, although we wish we would have been a tad closer to the heart of Rome, although it is only a 15 minutes walk/metro ride to the main sights. The rooms are very very clean (but a tad small) and the staff is very helpful. No free internet was a drawback, however.

The hotel is small and has an intimate feel. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. They were very attentive and wanted to please. The hotel had changed hands and is in the process of renovation and it did not affect our stay. It appeared to be almost complete. The ambiance is charming. The location is fairly close to the metro. We did a lot of walking and the Colleseum is within walking distance if you are used to walking. Otherwise, I would not recommend it. There are few restaurants in the area mostly pizzarias. We ate at two and the food was below average. The staffs were somewhat distainful. The breakfast in the hotel was very good. Excellant pastries and rolls. There was cereal, orange juice, coffee, tea , etc. We found it satisfying and it met our needs.
