The hotel was a little hard to find coming directly from the airport but once we found it, overnight street parking was convenient and safe. Staff were so pleasant and helpful. The patio area out back was perfect to decompress after walking all day. Breakfast was nice and everything we had was fresh and tasty. Highly recommend this hotel.

We were a bit concerned with the negative reviews before we went. The rooms are basic but clean and cleaned every day. Breakfast is what you would expect in any hotel in Italy. The staff were helpful and accommodating to requests for additional tea and coffee in the garden area. There is graffiti on the walls in the street but you see that all over Rome. The hotel was close to a supermarket and dining options and a couple of blocks from the metro.

Old hotel

Hotel Best is on an extremely busy and noisy street. It is old, dark and uncomfortable. The only plus is the pretty patio near the breakfast area. Breakfast is not particularly good or pleasant. Don’t go there.

Great rooms and outside area for breakfast. A little far from the city center, maybe 20 min walk to the Colosseum. The service was also great, but a tad confusing. One man claimed the hotel didn’t offer transportation to/ from the airport and hotel, but another man was able to book my party a shuttle from the hotel to the airport for only €15 per person. Nonetheless, they do accommodate, the employees just need to communicate a bit more

ADEQUATE FOR SHORT STAY

Nice hotel The room was okay for a short stay due to its smallness. The breakfast was again okay though again the room was small but it was never overcrowded. We were able to get hot drinks up until 2000 hrs. from a machine in the breakfast room. The travel was by Tram 5 or 14 from The Rome Termini takes only 4 minutes. The connection for travel around Rome was a 5 minutes walk to the Metro at Manzoni. The Metro gets very crowded .

The hotel is VERY CLEAN, close to metro station and tourist attractions. Excellent service. Staff are very helpful, especially ARUSH. Free breakfast and strong WiFi connection.

Good location, and very friendly staff. But rooms were small, breakfast had very limited choices and was very cramped, often area was too small for the number of guests, the deco was dated, there was no glassware when we asked for glasses in the evening was given plastic cups. Every morning we found the showers didn't provide enough hot water, it was bearable but water would get cool during shower, so wasn't enjoyable. Most definitely NOT a 4* hotel!! I would rate it 2-3*. I would only recommend if getting a very cheap deal or price is comparable to other 2-3* accommodation.

Comfortable hotel and very good location

This is a great little hotel just outside the main historic centre but within easy walking distance of all. The Coliseum is the closest and takes about 20 minutes to get there, 10 minutes to the nearest Metro station (very easy to navigate) and several nice local restaurants with good food. The staff in the hotel are friendly and helpful, rooms clean and comfortable, good shower and plenty of hot water. Breakfast is good, all buffet self service but did lack fresh fruit. Other than that all good and would highly recommend.

Small hotel but good for the price

Nice staff. Nice outside area and small roof terrace. Not much to do immediately outside but more restaurants are a walk away Only complaint would be that the bath didn't drain well at all when having a shower - mentioned to them a few times and they stated it was ok.( which it wasn't) 1.9 miles to Colluseum. Easy stroll on a nice day Staff helpful in ordering taxis. Overall good for those on a budget

A Fair Hotel - you get what you paid for

Room: I stayed in two different rooms in the hotel: - do NOT let them put you in a room on the bottom floor facing the street. This is the room I INITIALLY got. The air conditioning wasn't working properly and the Tram is very loud. Couldn't get any sleep at all. It was like sleeping next to a runway. - The shower has a very unusual set up... instead of a shower curtain, they have a glass barrier/door that only extends HALF the length of the tub. You have to be very careful in order for water not to get all over the floor. - the mini safe they provided was also labelled as "out of order".... After complaining about these things, the concierge allowed me to switch to a room on the third floor, facing AWAY from the street. - air conditioning was awesome, shower was cramped but adequate. No real complaints. Common areas: - the hotel is very small. The breakfast is very minimal ( cereal, bread, deli meats, juice, coffee). The dining room is very cramped. - nice dining area in back. Location: Pros: - less than 10 min walk from the closest metro station. Less than 5 min walk to a convenient tram stop. - you can get pretty much anywhere you want to visit in Rome in less than 30 minutes from here. - a couple of restaurants, a super market, a gelato place and plenty of convenience stores within 10 minute walk west. Cons: - hotel is located facing a busy road with a tram line on it (VERY LOUD if your room faces the street). - the area just north of the hotel is pretty sketchy

We stayed in a triple room with our daughter. It had a double bed and a twin bed with little space to walk around. Room and bathroom were in good condition. We had hot water and clean towel service.

Nicest Staff Ever!

The staff at this hotel was EXCELLENT! Very kind and accommodating. They went above and beyond the first night we were there in helping us with my mom in her confused state. Gave us an excellent recommendation for a restaurant that was close to the hotel. The breakfast provided was great too! Plenty of fresh meats and cheeses and bread!
