Stayed here from 17-19 Dec as the start of my Europe tour. Location wise, this is really remote. Lucky we had a coach to ferry us to the various attraction. Room is simple, and good enough for a good night sleep. However, coming from Asia, the expectation of hotel standard is much higher. All in all, good enough for a quick rest stop.
Really helpful staff on reception, they managed to get me a room with a balcony, thank you so much. Very clean and modern, beautiful room. Location quite remote, you need a car, or taxi to go anywhere, but bars and restaurants are within walking distance, if required ( approx 20 min walk) Free shuttle bus to airport was the deciding factor for my booking here. Breakfast was very quiet, only me there, typical continental breakfast, with Italian twist, Ie cakes! Hotel has a pool, ideal in the summer, but not in November! Would recommend for a one night stay if using the airport.
Hotel was clean and staff friendly enough. However no atmosphere in the hotel at all, and although it says it has a bar there is no draft beer or cider etc. Due to the location we heavily relied on the hotel shuttle to take us to the train station to get into Rome which was appreciated until the Saturday when we were, lack of other words, total abandoned by the hotel due to a holiday in ciampino. We were told the bus couldn't get to the station so we had to walk up the hill which wasn't the issue, bus wasn't there either then I received a call saying driver had returned to hotel. I then needed to get a policeman to get us a taxi. No apology from hotel and total inability to listen to my grievance when arrived back 30 euros lighter. Also no manager works the weekend. As I say ok hotel if travelling on own on business etc but no use for a weekend away with family for leisure unless you have a car and a good knowledge of the area for driving in and out.
This hotel yes is located outside from Rome city centre but it is appropriate if you want to be next to champino airport. The staff was very helpful by giving us directions how to go easily to city centre by Laurentina metro. The room was very clean and comfortable. The only problem that we faced with our room was the aircondition which there was no temperature control and we got freezed. The breakfast did not have many options. Another thing that we didn't like was the 5 euros charge per person in case if you want to go to the hotel's swimming pool. Overall it is a good option if you have a car.
We arrived at ciampino late on a Sunday evening. A minibus from the hotel picked us up straight away - at no extra charge but by prior arrangement. Our room was comfortable and had all we needed. The bathroom was spacious with a bath. Everything worked. The reception staff could not have been more helpful. They offered to book a meal for us in a nearby pizzeria because the hotel restaurant was closed. As it happened our flight was delayed so we had an ice cream cornetto and a coffee instead the small bar. Breakfast was good with a good choice. Again the reception lady was very friendly and organised the hotel minibus to drive us to ciampino station (no charge) from where we easily caught a train to Rome. The hotel fitted our needs perfectly and was good value for money. Thoroughly recommend.
This hotel is very nice and new one, placed at a peaceful place but far away from Rome so you must have a car to reach it. Nice and clean rooms and very good breakfast. the stuff is very kind and one guy called Marco was very helpful with my questions for Rome. I stayed there on April of 2015 with my wife and i enjoyed it.
The hotel is around 10-15 kilometers from the tourist sites in Rome. If you require a quiet stay then this is suitable. However, the distance and traffic to the heart of the old city can take up to an hour's journey. The hotel is fairly modern and kept clean but is basic, not sure what the four stars contained on the hotel are mean't to represent. The breakfast on offer is very basic, cereal and cake. The facilities are limited, no gym, but it does have a small outdoor pool. There are no views to speak of, unless you like fields. In summary, it is a quiet, basic, clean hotel some distance from Old Rome.
A remote simple structure in the middle of nowhere! terrible experience!..that's not a hotel...you can't shower. ..closet too small. We called Expedia to request a different hotel, and guess what?...had to pay $108 euros for the call
We emailed the hotel about our shuttle pick up from the airport. They told us to ring when we arrived. We did - and waited 40 minutes before calling them again, when they told us that they had sent us a shuttle, it had picked up some other people and then left. We had been standing there looking and waiting and had not seen such a shuttle. We then waited another half an hour before another shuttle appeared. Thankfully, the driver was very friendly and apologetic. When we arrived the receptionist was not as friendly, and took our passports, which we did not get back until the next morning when we checked out. Dinner was pleasant in a very nice restaurant, and the waiter was very friendly. It should be noted that all of the staff spoke very good English, which was helpful! There was a great choice of food on the menu - a little pricey if you want all the courses, but we were not very hungry and shared a dish that had a very generous portion and was tasty, as all Italian food usually is! There was an extensive wine list that was reasonably priced and we had a lovely local wine that was very good for the inexpensive label. However, the glasses were not exactly clean. The room was okay, though the scratchy linen bed sheet left us wanting. The room did not have any useful little things provided - no pen, no kettle, the only toiletries provided were little soaps (liquid and bar). However, the bathroom was very nice, and what you would expect in 4* accommodation. The room was rather pleasant over all, though it would have been nice to have more toiletries available (we had come straight from the airport, with hand luggage only, and didn't have time to pick anything up, and realised in horror that we had no toothpaste!) There was free Wi-Fi in the rooms, which was a massive bonus. The next morning, we both thought that breakfast was being served from 7 - 10:30, and we arrived at 10:15, only to find out that it had closed at 10 (perhaps our own misunderstanding, though frustrating nevertheless). The pool looked lovely, though we did not have a chance to use it. On check out, we paid the tourist tax (we were aware in advance, but if you are not, do not get caught out - there is a new surcharge per person per night to pay as your leave) and received our passport back. The receptionist wasn't overly friendly, but he was kind enough to offer us both an espresso as we waited for the taxi he ordered us, which was appreciated having missed breakfast. Over all, it was a pleasant enough stay for one night, but it does not really warrant the 4 stars it claims to be and I would not particularly want to stay there any longer. If you are looking for somewhere to stay for a night near the airport, then it is perfectly acceptable.
I stayed 2nights for group tour. Mordernized interior decorating and the spacious clean calm room. There's no problem about bathroom. Besides breakfast; breads, several cakes, hams, cheese, yogurt, fruits...was also tasty;D I just spend comfortable nights. However in the morning, I found we're in the middle of field :o when I went outside...I moved by tour bus so I didn't feel any inconvenience but it might be hard for personal travellers who heads to and arrive from downtown. There's no public transportation so you need taxi or car...but comfortable for staying definitely!;)
