Quality Inn Rolla2.5 out of 5.0

Staff was great. Room size was a little small, beds were very comfy. Room was also very clean. Hotel had a slight musty smell to it. Breakfast was a regular assortment of bread, beagles, scrambled eggs, sausage, pancakes.
Staff was friendly, room was extremely clean, bed was comfortable, and the price was a great value. We stay in lots of hotels, and the Quality Inns have always been the best value. This one was also a great value and in a convenient location.
There were signs of recent renovations, but they need to finish the job. When we left the room to go eat dinner, we pushed on the door to make sure it was locked, but it popped opened. We looked to see what the problem was and there were some pieces of cardboard in the area that was supposed to lock. It wasn't blocking the door from closing so we had no idea what it was there for. It also would not have prevented the door from locking either, so a real mystery. We finally figured out we had to lift the door up with the handle a fraction of an inch so it would go into the slot, firmly close, and then lock. Getting to the room was a little confusing. The hotel is built on a hill. From the front it looks like a one story hotel, but when you go park at the back you realize it's at least two stories. Our room was on the floor where the check in desk is, but when we went to the back of the building, we had to use the elevator to get there. The vanity area had all new tile, so had recently been updated and was clean. The room did have a microwave, fridge, and coffee maker. The bed was comfortable and we slept well.
once again, Quality Inn provides a decent and clean room for a reasonable price. We didn't use any amenities like the pool... but they looked nice. The staff we interacted with were very courteous and helpful.
We stayed here one night on our way back home. It was clean, safe and quiet, the main things we look for when passing through. The price seemed about the same as the surrounding motels that we looked at. The mattress was great, not squishy as so many of them are. The bedding looked as if it could have been fairly new. The breakfast area was clean and neat and the offerings were pretty typical, nothing unexpected but enough to get us back on the road. Would recommend to anyone on the road looking for a decent place to stop.
Overall good value for a traveling couple. It had a nice breakfast and the room was old but clean and quiet. Plenty of parking. Nice older place, would stay again if traveling and spending one night. Easy on and off the freeway.
There were many positive things about this hotel that I would like to begin with: 1. The staff were all super friendly and efficient. 2. The cleanliness was impeccable. The restroom, sink, my bed, and the main area were all spotless. 3. Modern amenities were appreciated. In room microwave and mini fridge were helpful. 4. The bed is super comfy with just the right combination of pillows and blankets. Were it not for one glaring issue I would give this place a 5 star rating. But unfortunately that one issue kept me up all night. 1. This hotel has no sound dampening. You could hear everything going on above you, below you, and down the hall. The people on the first floor who had been partying on the lake all day... yeah I could hear their conversations until they finally passed out. The kids on the 3rd floor who had to skip everywhere they went sounded like mini earthquakes every time they crossed the room. The poor guy down the hall from me who had to use the restroom multiple times throughout the night, every time he would flush his toilet we all could hear it. I hate to sound like I'm complaining but when I stay in a hotel and have to drive 400 miles the next day, getting a solid nights rest is important to me.
How's this for sweet? We only stayed one night. And as we were toting all our stuff out to the car, the cleaning lady came running out with my son's USB cable. HOW SWEET IS THAT? The rooms were fine, the breakfast filling.
Since this was the last night of staying at hotels on our traveling vacation we had stayed in enough Choice hotels that this one was free with using points. It was in excellent condition and the beds slept well. We didn't try the breakfast since we wanted to hit the road early to make it home that night.
Just my wife and I traveling thru Missouri and we decided to stop in Rolla. Looking for a brand we were familiar with and, when checking an app, we found we had options from $79 to $139 and up. We were surprised by this motel's low rate and decided to give it a go since we just needed a clean, comfortable room and a good night's sleep before we continued our travels. Excellent decision. Looks recently renovated, great rooms and beds. Right off the interstate but very quiet. Breakfast was typical fare..."it ain't mamas" but it was ok. We've paid double the price for the same accommodations elsewhere. Score a win for the good guys - this is a great value.
