"*Hotel does not inform you pre-arrival or upon arrival that seaweed makes it impossible to use beach/ocean. The odor permeates everywhere, even when you are in guest room with doors shut. Understand its an act of nature, but it would be appropriate and appreciated to acknowledge to guests and perhaps offer a diffuser or room spray to mediate the terrible smell. *After checking in, you are asked to wait in lobby (assuming it was for bellman and luggage)....nope! a 30+ minute pitch to visit other properties in the area. Honestly, with jet lag, thirst and being on vacation it's a rather unprofessional gesture to guests. Be warned: you are told door to door it will take 90 minutes for the visit. NOPE! It's a full sales pitch (think timeshare presentation) that would have been FOUR HOURS if we did not simply walk out. *Overall staff are lovely, espeically restaurants, housekeeping and pool. Tempest restaurant reception staff not welcoming, nor do they open the door when dinner service begins at 5PM. at 5:10PM guests waiting outside just let themselves in. Sushi is very basic, not fresh and 80% rice. *Spa may be saving grace of the property. Waited till last day to use and in hindsight should have visited a couple times. *Upgraded package to Club not worth the money - food presentations look like a kids buffet menu."
