Positives - Decent swimming pool which we could use prior to check in (we arrived very early) - very comfy bed in room, good air con. - restaurant was very reasonably priced and food was perfectly edible and good portion size. - staff helpful - shuttle was excellent. Picked it up at airport fine. On way back, we had to be at the airport at 4am, we thought the shuttle did not start until 5am but between 12am and 5am, it will run on the hour. It was a small shuttle van -thought that was great and saved getting a taxi. Needs improving - the bathroom! Lots of black mould, rusty shower and soap gunge from previous guests. Was not nice. - looks worn and old especially from the outside. - The room was very basic, worn around the edges. Overall, it was a bed for the night which was what we needed - and that’s its purpose but a bit of doing up, would improve the experience.
We were booked into the Linx at the end of a cruise by the ship's concierge as we had a night flight. For our needs it was really good. It was quiet and clean. It provided a shuttle to the airport which was a very short drive away. The shuttle ran regularly from the front of the building. We had a good sleep in the afternoon knowing we had a long journey ahead of us. Staff were really nice. There is a small cafe with a limited and simple menu which isn't open all the time. Coffee was available through the bar. The one thing that I would have liked was a kettle in the room for coffee but I don't know whether this is usually available in Brazil. The actual price was less than the quoted price when I paid which was a nice surprise. I would certainly use this hotel again.
Only positive is that is close to the airport and rent a car offices. Staff is not very useful and barely speaks few words of English. The room is very small, dark, noisy from AC. Some parts had a tape over to hold it. Bathroom is like in the RV. Breakfast below average. Overall negative experience.
You may be placed in a room that is already occupied. Causing the most embarrassing experience ever, for everybody. You go, you complain, and they blame the system... A shrug would be more honest. Other than that, be very sure you don't forget anything there... Two hours after checking out in a rush for a morning flight, I sent them an e-mail explaining what I left there, where, in what room... I got an email back saying that someone would be in touch with me... Again, a shrug would be more helpful. In sum, it is a hotel that is overpriced, the front desk staff seems to be lost on what to do, and if something is wrong, they will say sorry and blame the system, yet do nothing about it. Another thing, if someone else is using booking.com to get you a room there, forget it, they will say they need the card... Anyhow. It was a horrible experience, and I have a feeling that someone just stole the stuff that I ended up forgetting in the room.
The weather was dreadful in Rio on our last day and we decided to find a hotel close the airport S flight wasn’t until 10pm. This is a really Nice hotel, the customer se4vicevisbawesome, nice rooms, large comfy bed, fantastic shower, nice gym, nice pool, had soap Bol in the restaurant which was taste. We would definately stay here again
We stayed here for one night after arriving in Rio in the evening with flights out to Iguazu early the next day. We had read online there was a shuttle bus from the airport but struggled to find much info, we were told by airport info there is a phone on the 2nd floor that you can call the shuttle, however we couldn’t find this. We eventually found the bus stop which is on 2nd floor by Door D. Another guest had already called for it, however if you need to call you can use the airport pay phone and dial 9090 before the number for this call to be free. The hotel is so close to the airport (about 5 min drive) we could have walked it to be honest. At the hotel itself there were some cabin crew checking in, which I took as a good sign as they seemed to be regulars and wouldn’t return if the hotel was bad! There was a small queue at check in - to be expected when multiple guests are arriving on the same bus. Our room was very clean with good AC and a comfortable bed. The included breakfast was nice - nothing amazing, eggs, toast, cereal the usual. The 24 hour gym is small but well equipped, there is a pool as well but we didn’t have time to use this. The next day we got the free shuttle to the airport no problems. This was a great hotel for a stopover - good value for what you get, would recommend!
I am a regular at this hotel, its the most convenient place just a stone throw away from GIG airport. They also operate a shuttle to n from airport every 20 mins. Rooms are nice, tad smaller but clean. Food however is something they can defiantly improve along with time taken for the check in, in order to get a five rating.
As long as you don't expect too much this hotel is fine. I had to have my room immediately swapped because one of the AC units outside my window was making a racket. They have a little bar but after waiting 10 minutes for someone to show up I left (it was open, someone was in there it just seemed the staff member had other duties) They need to be clearer with the hotel shuttle. There is mention of a phone in arrivals which is a little stand-alone phone unit thingy. However, this was off so wasted and hour trying to work out what to do until I found another traveller staying there who could call the hotel. Tip for hotel management: You could probably improve your reviews a lot just by making the shuttle service clear and easy.
I stayed on this hotel for one night. Check-in queue was long when I arrived, but had doubled before I was checked in 45 minutes later. Two guys manning the reception at peak hours is a bit low ... Barely managed to get some food before closing time, only to find that most on the menu was not possible to order. The tenderloin was OK, but served with a pile of dry rice and half warm french fries, it was not exactly world cuisine. The room was not properly cleaned, with insects on the floor and long hair in the bed. Less than half of the channels on the TV had signal. AC was very noisy. But if you have a short stay over in Rio, this is most likely the best option you have.
We were three people taveling together and we had to pay for two double rooms. Even though we said we all could sleep in one bed, or add an exstra smal bed into the doubleroom. The reseptionist were not interested in finding a good soulition. We also left very early in the morning and said that we didnt have time for breakfast, if she could fix something in that case. The answere was only «no». We didnt sleep very well, because it was either too warm or to cold. The entire hotel was very humid. Not happy with our stay or with the service.
