The Jefferson is great. However, they do not accept payment through third parties. While I was able to book the room through Orbitz, a payment (even though Orbitz said it was a successful payment) never went to them. At the time of check in, I reached out to Orbitz, and they gave me a receipt of the room being fully booked, but the payment never actually went through, despite Orbitz saying it did. I had to book the room on the spot. This needs to be explained somewhere along the line. Orbitz should have let me know that a payment did not actually go to The Jefferson, or the Jefferson should have reached out to let me know that I did not actually pay for the room I booked, so that I could have avoided this stress.

The expansive lobby is a feast for the eyes, and there is a ton of history here. It is a fabulous place to stay.
