Holiday Inn Express Heidelberg - City Centre

The hotel is not in the old part of the town, although a short bus or cab ride away. The outside and lobby are very unattractive. The room was small but efficient. The staff was mostly very friendly. Breakfast pretty much identical to what would be served in a U.S. Holiday Inn Express.

The four of us stayed for one night in one room. Beds were not that big,but comfy. Coffee maker in the room. We had a quite cheap rate, breakfast was included. We would absolutely recommend this hotel if you don’t stay too long and you mainly use the hotel to sleep 😉 Quite central

Very nice clean comfortable room. Very nice supermarket in the same block. Ample parking. Easy stroll to the old town centre. A very attractive German town. I won't be asking for liver dumplings again but the sausages are great. Beer and wine are excellent in Germany.

We loved Heidelberg it’s a great city, and although this may be a few minutes off the main routes it ticked all the boxes we wanted for our night the breakfast was basic however that suited us, the rooms were very clean and had everything we wanted and there is a bar too

Clean, comfortable hotel in the quiet side of town. An easy walk to the Old Town and all the restaurants, attractions etc. A huge supermarket and deli next door was an added bonus Room was small but adequate and the aircon was not very effective. Breakfast was very generous. Secure parking at a cost, was beneath the hotel A good option

Location was so so. It is in the middle of the train station and city center. You can go both of them by a 7-8 minutes walk İnternet was very good. The room was comfortable and quite big. Breakfast was good as well Nothing negative

I had chosen the hotel because it offered a reasonable price with breakfast included. While the staff was very friendly and professional the breakfast was underwhelming and mediocre. Having better coffee and more tasty bread would go a long way to improving the experience. The use of WiFi is important on a business trip, so that it was quite disappointing that the service offered was all but unusable, too slow if it connected at all.

This is a new hotel and rooms are finished to a very high standard. Staff are very polite and accommodating. Everything clean and very efficient. Location is good with a tram stop directly in front and the town centre a short walk away. Breakfast was good, but plentiful, although the coffee was dispensed from a vending machine that didn't grind beans. Missed opportunity for some style here. The major issue (and it's been the same with two visits here) is that the internet access (although free) is very poor to non-existent. There are ethernet ports in the room, but they don't work. Websites timed out on all 4 of my devices and I had to resort to using my phone as a hotspot (I'm roaming, so I am not looking forward to the bill). The hotel staff tried to help. They offered tokens, reset the system, and it appeared the provider was acknowledging a fault, but no idea of when it would get sorted. The next day, the new shift staff seemed to know nothing about it and just shrugged it off. The problem was that it was like that the last time I was there. For such a new hotel, this is inexcusable. Would love to come back, but until this gets sorted, I'll be going elsewhere. It's a shame as there is a lot to like here and the staff did try hard.

We had the Club Room for One Night. Very nice Room. Small but nice and Clean:) We had a hearty Welcome. I paid with Points so i cant say if the Price is ok but during my Travels (most of the Time buisness:/) this was the best Holiday inn that i visit. I can recommend this Hotel by the Experience that i made:)

Holiday Inn Express Heidelberg-City Centre, just a 10 minute walk from the train station. Staff members are friendly and helpful. Very clean room. Large selection for the breakfast, meats, cheese, fresh bread and rolls, fruit and much more. The hotel proposes a unique offer, in exchange for skipping housekeeping on the following day, they give each quest a free drink at the bar. Nice deal and saves resources. Would recommend staying here, good value for the $$ A grocery store is located right around the corner.
