We had the Club Room for One Night. Very nice Room. Small but nice and Clean:) We had a hearty Welcome. I paid with Points so i cant say if the Price is ok but during my Travels (most of the Time buisness:/) this was the best Holiday inn that i visit. I can recommend this Hotel by the Experience that i made:)
Holiday Inn Express Heidelberg-City Centre, just a 10 minute walk from the train station. Staff members are friendly and helpful. Very clean room. Large selection for the breakfast, meats, cheese, fresh bread and rolls, fruit and much more. The hotel proposes a unique offer, in exchange for skipping housekeeping on the following day, they give each quest a free drink at the bar. Nice deal and saves resources. Would recommend staying here, good value for the $$ A grocery store is located right around the corner.
I stayed for six nights last March. Pros: -Very clean property so modern and friendly staff. -Very good location near the train station and city centre and most amenities. -Supermarket just next door. -Forgot my iPhone charger in the room and they kept it as I mailed them and a friend picked it up. -Acceptable breakfast and comfortable stay. Cons: Internet was so slow sometimes
We stayed five nights and had no complaints about noice, or bad manners. The staff was very attentive, they allowed us to check in early since we arrived to Heildelberg in the morning, and we enjoyed breakfast while waiting for our room. The hotel is across the street from a tram station, there is a good supermarket at walking distance and also there are several restaurants very close.
This is a good basic hotel where visitors may feel more comfortable staying since it's under the Holiday Inn brand. We walked from here to Old Town and the castle with two small children (one in a backpack), which was very doable in the early March snow and must be lovely in the warmer months. Train station directly in front. Very helpful staff; underground parking 18 euros a night. There are closer hotels to the Old Town but we found this one perfectly fine. Breakfast was good, linens were good and room was fine. Would definitely recommend.
Easy location to the station. They don't offer breakfast but give you the option to go next door to the Mercure for 12 euros which I would really suggest you do because its much easier. There did not appear to be. a lot of restaurants nearby but we could of been walking in the wrong direction. There was also an old blood stain on the quilt I was using where the sheets parted I saw also a stain on the towel we were given.
We were given a lovely room in this hotel which would have been almost perfect but for the fact that there were shortcomings which were not rectified. The main problem was the poor wi-fi connectivity in the room. To be fair to the staff, who tried to be helpful, they suggested more than once that we change our room. That, however, was something we were unwilling to do after 2-3 months on the road and all the packing & unpacking that was involved. What surprised me was the fact that no attempt was made to place another router in the room - something that had been done in another hotel when a similar problem had arisen. Breakfast was fair. It was far more limited in terms of quality and variety than we had encountered elsewhere during the 3 months we spent in Europe. In fact one morning we gladly ventured out to a nearby restaurant to experience a local breakfast at its best, even though breakfast at the hotel was included in the price of the room. The hotel was very well-situated indeed, close to both the railway station and most places of interest as well as the shopping district in Heidelberg. The staff were pleasant and polite. Ms Kulik in particular must be commended for her willingness to be especially helpful and welcoming upon our arrival, as she did her best to rectify a few initial problems with the room and did so cheerfully. She represented the hotel at its best.
Good hotel, closer to the train station than to the old city center (which is usually the reason most people come to Heidelberg). Breakfast is very basic, but better than what Americans understand of Continental Breakfast. Coffee is hot, but extremely weak. Make sure to get a king size bed (formed by two twin beds placed together). If you don’t specifically ask for it, you will be given what they call a “Queen Size” bed, which is narrower than a full size bed in the US. Their “queen size” measures 1.35cm wide. It’s a bed not even recently married couples can sleep on. Service is friendly and hotel is very clean.
We had a wonderful experience. The front desk staff bent over backwards to assist us with a personal issue that could have turned out badly. They were awesome! Rooms were clean and well appointed. Great location. Fabulous stay! ThankYouThankYouThankYou
I stayed here while attending a conference at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory in November, 2016. The price was very affordable and included a healthy continental breakfast with some nice choices. The room was contemporary in decor, equipped with fridge, iron and ironing board and was very quiet and comfortable. Staff were helpful. There was a grocery store just feet away from the hotel and it was just a 5 minute walk to the town centre, shopping, bakeries and restaurants. It was very relaxing to stay here while attending a conference with a busy agenda.
