This was a good, solid 3-star hotel in a great location, one block off Reykjavik's mail pedestrian street (Laugavegur), and 3 blocks from Reykjavik's bus stops 6 (level walk) and 14 (downhill from the hotel). The accommodation was compact but comfortable. The continental breakfast was very nice and in a pleasant setting in the lobby. We appreciated the friendly and helpful front desk staff - Farouk steered us to a great Icelandic pub, 3 blocks away, which became our regular dinner venue!

The location was fantastic, very close to shopping, great restaurants, the water and bus station. The single room was cozy but plenty of room - as mentioned by others, the bathroom is VERY compact with a small shower, but again perfect for one. Staff very helpful with directions and storing luggage. Try the Cocktail Lounge next door for fancy gin drinks in a restored Champagne Train car!

Rooms were clean. Staff was amazing and suggested a lot of great food ideas, and places that we should’t miss, always welcoming. The breakfast was included and there were a lot of different options which we appreciated. There were other Center hotels and you could use there facilities when you were out exploring the city.

There is a very noisy Irish Pub across the street. The television in the room did not work and after requesting help from the front desk clerk every day for four days, nothing was ever done. There was a strong sewer gas smell in the room.

Great location

Great place, super convenient. Loud bar across the street, but nice I turned on my white noise app, I couldn’t hear it. Parking is tricky, but receptionist is super helpful in telling you where you can park. I would drop off bags and then park, as you will likely have to walk a bit.

Nice enough hotel, area can be noisy

I stayed at Center Hotels Klopp and Center Hotels Plaza in Reykjavik. While Center Hotels Klopp is definitely more central, this also brings some disadvantages - noise and light from the street below. As a result, I didn't get a good night's sleep here. When you're booking a hotel room from the other side of the world, it's hard to tell how central a place is. But the reality is, both of these two hotels are a quick walk from each other. Whilse Center Hotels Plaza has its own issues (principally that the rooms are *tiny*) I wish I had stayed there instead for my last night in Iceland.

Nice hotel, great location. Had trouble finding it at first as we put hotel instead of hotels in our gps. Ended up walking about 30 minutes with our suitcases! Receptionist said others had the same issue and they will be fixing it.
