We couldn't believe it when we were brought up to our apartment - bright, airy, cozy studio with balcony over looking main shopping street in town. Couldn't have picked a better stay for our 9 days in Reykjavik. This was our home base and despite our daily adventures being a blast, we couldn't wait to get home to our place! We had a car and parking was a breeze since we didn't get home til after 6, when you no longer have to pay for parking. Just wake up and be out of the house by 9AM and you won't have to worry about dropping a dime on P1.

For how expensive Iceland currently is, I'd say this spot is probably worth it if you're looking for a more apartment feel. Request a room in the back of building so that you get a separate private entrance. Heads up the rooms are small, beds are big enough for 2 people and futon can hold 1. The bathrooms are not super private so you'll hear everything! Because each room has a small kitchen, I would suggest picking up groceries at the nearby supermarket, beers at the shop and cook your own food. Save your money and wait until after midnight to party.

Front desk staff went above and beyond, so friendly and willing to help. Great location, walking distance to everything! I would definitely stay at Apartment K again.

Apartment K met all our expectations. The location was perfect in downtown Reykjavik and parking on the street was convenient most of the time. We loved the apartment layout, especially the black sand beach look if he bathroom and the memory foam king size bed. Also, having individual comforters and two pillows each was perfect. The hotel staff was excellent, friendly and very helpful. Thank you.

With Apartment K, you may not get what you expect. I stayed twice before and loved the location and design of the accommodations. This time the location was unexpectedly a few blocks away from the check-in. The apartment had a number of things that were worn out, damaged, or broken and it was not stocked with the basic items listed. Most unexpected was a bathroom without a door and ventilation, wide open to the living area with only a sheer curtain to provide (inadequate) separation.

Good or bad, it is very conveniently located. Weekend night life goes on until 5 or 6 in the morning, is very loud and pervasive. My unit was starting to show it's age. The bathroom, while spacious, was showing it's age. It is all in one, shower separated by a glass wall, but it didn't contain the water. Floor was almost always wet. Sink is too small to rinse a toothbrush in. Toilet is round and very awkward to use. The entire bath was covered in black river stone, which was not a practical or cheerful choice. All in all, with all it was nice for the week we stayed.

I travel extensively and by the way use Orbitz often. I have never experienced a lodging facility that will give you such little service; especially for the price. I paid around $280 per night . While the temperatures in Reykjavík were in the 50s and 60s, our room was so hot we could not sleep. It had no windows that opened and we had to leave our door open to try to get some fresh air at night so we could sleep. We contacted the management three times about it and they said they would look into it and never responded. Our room, when we arrived was dirty and had tissues and Q-tips on the floor and the garbage was full. Our room was also situated approximately 75 feet from the back deck of a bar. There were people partying till four or five in the morning every night on that back deck. Additionally, our room was supposed to be serviced with towels and cleaned once during an eight day stay. It never was! We had to go to the management desk to get additional towels and they claimed there would be someone to clean and service our apartment coming in the next 24 hours, but that of course never happened. There are a lot of apartment options in Reykjavík. I would not recommend this given the price and the absolute lack of service.

Except for the chartreuse floor and the stone bathroom walls in a couple photos, the website photos bear no similarity to the room we had. I realize there are many variations to Apartment K, but the roomy, well decorated rooms shown in the 50 photos were definitely misleading.

Hard to find, but a great location to operate from in Iceland. Liked the efficiency apt aspect and limited on site parking. Great for a longer term stay with washer/dryer. Limited staff. Room not ready when we arrived. No privacy in bathroom. Location and price make this a good option.

The thing that ruined it for me was the bathroom. The bathroom is dark but you can see mildew all over the shower stall. The shower curtain also had mildew. I was disgusted and wished I had showered with flip flops on. There are also no toiletries whatsoever for the price you're paying. Only good thing about the place is the location and roominess of the rooms.
