For some reason our door to our room would not close properly behind us. We returned on two separate occasions to find our door ajar after cleaning service had left. Nothing was taken but the panic that set in each time I could have done without that on my vacation. Otherwise this hotel was in the perfect location to where all the tour buses picked up passengers and around the corner from a shopping area.bAlso we rented a car and there's a parking garage right next door for a dollar an hour, amazing. Breakfast was always good. I would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Clean rooms and hotel, Scandinavian design, great water pressure, good selection on breakfast buffet, central location

Great locale. Clean. Nice amenities. Always have to pay for coffee in lobby tho

Very nice hotel in great location. Loved the breakfast buffet and tasty bits in the evening.

fabulous stay, our only issue was our room was not cleaned the last day we were there and the cleaning staff was apparently running late. other than that, great staff and food!

Great location. New hotel. Comfortable bed. Accomodating staff

This is specifically about our check in. The hotel was very accommodating. We called Orbitz the day before check in to let them know we would be arriving a day late since we had a passport issue. After a discussion with a Orbitz representative we were told we would be able to check in anytime since we had already paid for the extra day and it was non refundable. Much to our chagrin, upon arrival we were told the room was cancelled for two nights. After flying on an international flight, the last thing you want to hear is that your room has been cancelled for the first two nights. Can you please review the recorded call and discussion with the hotel to see what went awry?? They were able to give us a room, but no one wants that type of auspicious start to their vacation..

The hotel is located in a convenient location and is very cute. Unfortunately the rooms are not very comfortable, the matress is very firm, and the towels are some of the scratchiest towels I've ever used. The worst part was the amount of noise in the room, it was tolerable during the weekdays but Friday and Saturday nights it basically sounds like there's a party in our room well into 3am.

The noise from the partying all night and construction was horrible. The common areas were nice and quiet but you could hear even small Conversations from passers by outside. Obviously something wrong with the sound proofing very unusual. A shame as the restaurants and bar and coffee shops etc were very nice. Would not suggest to stay here at all. We had 3 rooms and no one could sleep due to noise.

Only problem was unusual and confusing configuration of hotel. To get from one section to another required walking up and then down flight of stairs or taking elevator and then walking through corridors to reach destination. Staff quite helpful.

Great hotel and great staff right in the middle of the city. Couldn’t have asked for anything better

Very comfortable, convenient location, elaborate breakfast.

Not only was this the most beautiful hotel but it was the perfect location to downtown Reykjavik. The rooms are so comfortable and the staff were wonderful. We're planning on visiting Iceland again soon and we will only stay at the Canopy Hilton.

The room was clean and cozy , great location within walking distance to all the shops and restaurants. Breakfast buffet was delicious and the hotel restaurant (Lava) was exquisite !!!! Hotel personal was very professional and helpful Great experience !!!!!!! Aurea

Loved our stay! Breakfast was the best I've had. Plenty of variety and selections. Roomy suite. Bathroom had a vintage tub. Retro contemporary style with a chic design. Lots of lounging areas. Centrally located and attractions are walking distance. The bus stop for tour pickups and airport pickups is literally at its doorstep in front of their restaurant. I would highly recommend this hotel and splurge on a suite as the standard rooms are a bit small.

Difficult to adjust temperature of room; with one window always open, nightlife noise permeated our room.

During our stay in Iceland we stayed at three deprecate hotels and the Canopy by far was the best. It was clean, up to date and in a perfect location. The staff was extremely nice as well. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!
