I have never stayed in a fleabag flophouse before. Check in was 3:00 pm Thursday afternoon. I arrived at 5:00, got my key, went to my room to find the maid dragging the bedding out the door. Two hours after check in they were attempting to clean the room. Well not cleaning. The only clean thing was the bedding. The floor was filthy. It took two days before they even vacuumed my room But wait, there's more. The flip lock on the door was installed wrong and would not flip over and lock the door. So many people have tried to use the lock, the door jamb has been pulled loose. The overflow hole in the sink had been destroyed forcing the sink to slump down so that the sink never fully drains. As a result the sink is stained and constantly harboring dirty water. There is a hole in the wall to the left of the bed. Management fixed the hole by stuffing toilet paper in it. With this same wall the wallpaper is separating from the wall. There is no towel rack in the bathroom. There is one towel rack bracket fastened to the wall, and one towel rack holder on a second bracket, but no towel rack The curtain rod has been pulled down so that it bends down making the shower curtain gather at the low point in the middle. Needless to say, the shower curtain does not keep the water in the shower. Desk clerk said maintenance had been informed, but these are the same people who took two days after I checked in to even vacuum the damned room. These problems were not new.

The one thing I did like was resyaraunts were close by. They said they had a continental breakfast, but that consisted of orange juice, coffee and ding dongs. The walls in the room were dirty and the door lock was broken. Wouls nor recommend this place

If you value cleanliness, find a different hotel

Hotel in need of refurbishment. The bathroom in the room we stayed in did not have ventilation and has a mold problem. The bathroom door was barely held together most likely due to the humidity. The carpet has not been cleaned and was leaving our bare feet black and requiring us to remain in our shoes to walk around. The ac was very noisy like there was plastic flapping in the vent every time it shut off automatically which didn’t help give a restful night of sleep. The room was also non smoking but still smelled like a smoking room. You could smell it even after airing it out. Had we not been exhausted from driving all day, we would have tried to find another place. Room was prepaid for and photos on hotel.com are not accurate. Unfortunately didn’t have a chance to take my own photos due to needing rest.
