This hotel is clean and just outside of the downtown area by about two blocks. It unfortunately does have active train tracks just behind it and to one side, and it is directly on Main street and on the Mount Rushmore highway .. both busy roads. Convenient for seeing the sights, but annoying motorcycle sounds. The room was very weird with a lack of furniture (suitcases had to go on the floor as there was no other place to put them), and the main desk feature had no -- zero -- power outlets for computers, etc. Likewise, the odd tall coffee table had no power available. The bathroom was clean, but with cabinetry that looked like it was built by high school students. Comfortable bed and clean, but otherwise weird layout and furnishings.

Good location and nice space

Large clean modern hotel with friendly staff and free parking. Excellent food. Good location to visit area attractions

My friend and I stayed here November 15-19, 2020. The hotel was spotless. Our room was comfortable and clean. I can’t speak to the restaurant or bar as we did not visit either, but they looked very nice when walking by. Our room was on the 7th floor. The elevator was very fast! The location of this hotel was ideal for us. Plenty of places to walk to for food and shopping. We rented a car and drove to all the highlights. The hotel sits on the road that takes you out of Rapid City to Mount Rushmore. If I ever return to Rapid City, I would gladly book a stay here again. Highly recommend!

The design and decor and it was themed around Mount Rushmore.

Location was great. One of 2 elevators was down waiting for parts. Ice machine on our 8th floor was down. Night light closed to bed didn't work. Drain in bathroom sink did not drain! Dust around baseboards.

It was a great location downtown. Noise level Saturday night way to loud from near by club. Ceiling in room cracking and musty smelling also.

It was exactly how we expected!! Great place to stay for 2 nights!

Friendly staff, pet friendly, and clean. I would stay here again. Within super short walking distance to restaurants, shops, and coffee.

Really great staff. Very kind and accommodating. We had a beautiful view of the whole city.

I expected it to be a bit cleaner. It looked as if the house keeping did not do their job. The coffee maker still had the used filter in it and the bathroom and floors were not as clean as they could have been.

Nice hotel with good rooms. The check in was easy, room clean and nice. The hotel location is very convenient and they also had a hot breakfast, despite COVID, you could see how they had taken all the precautions to serve their guests. Would recommend the hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area

Room was over the BOILER ROOM and we were not able to turn the AC on over 72 degrees. It was uncomfortably hot and stuffy. The people who had the room before us put a piece of a beer box in the top of the AC vent to deflect the air down onto the bed. Obviously housekeeping did not do their job of removing it. After speaking to Orbitz customer service a maintenance technician was sent up and told us the situation with the AC could not be fixed and to speak with the front desk to see if we could get a different room. When we got downstairs we overheard the maintenance technician explaining to the front desk receptionist that there was a problem with the AC and we wanted a new room. When we approached her and said you already know why we are here she acted like she had no clue and asked us for our name, room number and what the issue was all while the maintenance technician was still standing there. She was able to give us an upgrade to a higher floor suite that unfortunately had a king size bed and we are a party of 3 but at this point tired and just wanted to go to bed so we took it. The room was outdated, old florescent lights kept flickering and the AC was cooler than the previous room but still not cool enough The room was facing a bar that had loud music until 2 am and around 4 am the passing train whistle scared my daughter. I did not sleep at all and got out of the bed at 5am to find a puddle on the carpet from the refrigerator leaking!

Great location near bars and restaurants that we could walk to. Hotel was clean, comfortable and a good price.

We liked the location being downtown. Clean friendly staff due to the covid thing bar and restaurant hrs were not convenient but we were informed of that in our booking

Very nice hotel friendly staff food in the restaurant was very disappointing overcooked and tasteless not at all on par with the quality of the hotel

Excellent location for walking to fine restaurants in the middle of town.
