I loved this hotel! It was amazing and so comfortable. And the staff were so friendly. Ill definitely be back. I have to say this, this is probably one of my favorite hotels in downtown durham.

The hotel staff were warm and welcoming. The hotel couldn’t help it but there was street noise with people cursing and yelling due to a club next door past midnight. It made it difficult to get sleep.

Clean, friendly, room was kind of sparse, no view from the small window. Surprised and happy to find an ironing board, but no safe. Nice shower.

The Durham Hotel is a fun, funky property in the heart of Durham. The property is queaky clean, has super friendly staff and excellent food. We will stay there again!

No Parking and a 2:00am Fire Drill

This is not a great hotel if you drive to it. There is no hotel parking nor valet service. You have to go down the block to a parking garage. While the vibe is kind of cool, closer inspection makes you think the rooms were designed by a rookie design student, the stuff just doesn’t fit together. While it was clean, it was not well kept. Our bathroom showed signs of lots of moisture problems and taking a shower resulted in a quart of water on the floor. There was a non-stop beeping throughout the night but we could never find the source. Then there was the 2:00am fire alarm that shut off after 5 minutes once we were on the way down the steps. At the price point, this was a disappointment, I would not go back even though we loved where it was located.
