Very good hotel, in very good location, very good breakfast. staff were really friendly and helpful. they helped with everything we needed, starting from recommendation where to eat and also with a problem with flights tickets that we had. highly recommended to everybody.
I booked this facility because of the chain's reliability in the States. Upon arrival, I had a serious problem of my own making, but everyone at the desk were so gracious to resolve my issue. The room is great and clean as expected. The proximity to restaurants is a great asset. At the end of a two week stay in South America, the people at the hotel helped make it the highlight of our whole trip. Also, we were very burned during the trip with exaggerated star ratings. (The people who rated our previous hotel must have been drunk.) This facility deserves its 3 Star rating.
My group stayed 3 nights at this hotel. The area seemed very safe, we did notice the friendly firearm wearing security guard posted at the front which seem to be the norm at the other hotels in the area. Cleanliness and service were good and on par with other Holiday Inn's. The hotel was very considerate in facilitating an earlier 6:30 am breakfast for my group of 21 in light of us having an early departure flight. There's a Burger King next door and a Mc Donald's across the street. The adjacent street are adorned with a number of casual and fine dining restaurants easily accessible by foot. The front desk staff were also very helpful in recommending an area with bars and nightclub life 8 blocks away.
Our group of 18 spent two nights and the stay was very enjoyable. There was a good selection of food for breakfast inclusive of fruits and hot food. The rooms were clean, spacious and generally very comfortable. Wifi was surprisingly solid and the staff quite friendly. There are quite a few things to do within walking distance from the hotel and lots more just a bit further out. There is a Burger King and a McDonald's literally right outside of the hotel!
I spent one night here before a very late-night flight back to the USA. The hotel is in good condition, up to standards and actually quite a bit better than your typical Holiday Inn Express that you would experience in the United States. The staff was very friendly and the location was good. This is a basic hotel, not fancy, and not one I would stay at unless you get a very reasonable rate. The only problems I encountered was terrible/no wifi access (not sure if that was my mistake or theirs) as well as no available secure taxis at the hotel despite the security guard in front of the hotel trying for 5 minutes to call one. Also the air conditioning seemed extremely weak--I could barely tell that any air was coming out of it. Stay here if you get a very good rate--otherwise spend a bit more and stay at the Swissotel or Hilton.
Big, comfortable and very clean rooms. Great beds and pillows. Fast and stable complimentary internet connection. Very fast check in / check out process. Kind and professional front desk staff. 24 hour room service. Gym. Breakfast included. Strategic location both for business and touristic purposes. I have been staying during the past 8 years, at least 4 weeks per year and have never considered staying in other hotels.
Spent 3 nights there for business and as a whole was not completed satisfied. But maybe I was expecting to much from a Holiday inn express. The rooms witch I had (1002) was not sound proof. Could hear the alarm of the neighbour room, so the bathroom. Breakfast buffet had nothing special. A bit overpriced ? Two positif points, bed was good and the view from the 10 floor just amazing
Not knowing much about Quito I was fortunate in finding the Express Hotel which was in an ideal location to town. All was perfect with a Burger King next door for a decent coffee but I also found a Canadian bar just around the corner which offered excellent burgers cooked on the BBQ, good music and it was open till late.
There is a lot to be said about the consistency and reliability of a good chain hotel. We only really had one night in Quito to connect with another flight, with a long day after before we had to get to the airport. The hotel kindly allowed us a late check-out for free til 2pm and a small fee until after 4pm. The staff were friendly and helpful - making the stay very pleasant.
Very well located in the middle of the business district with several dinning options at a walking distance. Staff is very helpful and polite; rooms are clean, new and confortable; wifi works great all over the place and breakfast has a lot of options.
