For this category, this is a great property. Nice common areas, good location within walking distance of several restaurants and night life. The staff was friendly and accommodating. WiFi works well. Breakfast options are decent. Rooms are spacious and offer great views on higher floors. Fantastic shower! Guard is always at the entrance and a room key needed to operate elevator which makes it safer. Overall a great and affordable stay in Quito.
The staff were outstanding, friendly and helpful, happy to resolve a minor problem with the TV or sort me out with some lemon to add to my tea. The shower was magnificent, a powerful blast, easy to adjust, but the downside to this power shower was that I could also hear the shower next door as someone had a a 6 a.m. wash. The transport to and from the airport was good, too. The only real downside from my point of view was the lack of restaurant. I had a toasted sandwich from the bar, but it was far from spectacular.
Our family stayed at the hotel during our vacation in Quito. While it is not a large, luxury hotel, it was clean and nicely appointed. The rooms were well furnished with a comfortable bed. The included breakfast was good and when we had an early departure, they provided a continental breakfast at 0430! They have contracted taxis protecting against overcharging. We used one for a half-day excursion to more distant sites and it was cheaper than tours prices for the 4 of us. The staff was very halpful and when one of our party had a kidney stone attack and wanting a bathtub, they obligingly switched our room. There are a number of restaurants nearby along with a Native Crafts Museum. Old town is $2-3 taxi ride away.
Good facilities, for sure overpriced and need a mire friendly staff. Stayed for two days, room have enough space with poor illumination. The breakfast is good if you compare with other HI Express. Good location, several restaurants at walking distance.
We checked in this afternoon, family of five in two rooms. One Platinum and one Gold member. Although there are three suites still available I was refused an upgrade upon asking about one room.. There is no Platinum recognition at all, not even a drink voucher. I was told we were upgraded to a higher floor (the eighth of twelve floors). This is a typical Holiday Inn with poor IHG loyalty recognition. Clean. Grocery store nearby.
Picked this hotel after staying at Holiday Inn Cartagena and we were not disappointed. It is located outside of the old city being a good location for trips out. We went to Mindo from here and also Tena. Standard type room with plenty of space and nice floor to ceiling window. Good bathroom with very powerful hot shower. Friendly English speaking staff, good breakfast. We had two nights in the Amazon and it worked well leaving a suitcase here until we returned for a couple more nights. Restaurants and supermarkets close by.
Very good hotel, in very good location, very good breakfast. staff were really friendly and helpful. they helped with everything we needed, starting from recommendation where to eat and also with a problem with flights tickets that we had. highly recommended to everybody.
I booked this facility because of the chain's reliability in the States. Upon arrival, I had a serious problem of my own making, but everyone at the desk were so gracious to resolve my issue. The room is great and clean as expected. The proximity to restaurants is a great asset. At the end of a two week stay in South America, the people at the hotel helped make it the highlight of our whole trip. Also, we were very burned during the trip with exaggerated star ratings. (The people who rated our previous hotel must have been drunk.) This facility deserves its 3 Star rating.
My group stayed 3 nights at this hotel. The area seemed very safe, we did notice the friendly firearm wearing security guard posted at the front which seem to be the norm at the other hotels in the area. Cleanliness and service were good and on par with other Holiday Inn's. The hotel was very considerate in facilitating an earlier 6:30 am breakfast for my group of 21 in light of us having an early departure flight. There's a Burger King next door and a Mc Donald's across the street. The adjacent street are adorned with a number of casual and fine dining restaurants easily accessible by foot. The front desk staff were also very helpful in recommending an area with bars and nightclub life 8 blocks away.
Our group of 18 spent two nights and the stay was very enjoyable. There was a good selection of food for breakfast inclusive of fruits and hot food. The rooms were clean, spacious and generally very comfortable. Wifi was surprisingly solid and the staff quite friendly. There are quite a few things to do within walking distance from the hotel and lots more just a bit further out. There is a Burger King and a McDonald's literally right outside of the hotel!
