Family emergency Nice service Great rooms Short Friendly Clean

Quite a ways from the new airport but a great central location in the city for shopping and sightseeing.

Nothing really wrong with the hotel, just doesn't give you that "wow" feeling. For the price paid (around $150 per night) , I was expecting something a bit nicer. Room has poor insulation and needed hear plugs to sleep every night. Small refrigerator was "missing." To us, a 3.5 star hotel, value wise.

Everything was good. We had an excellent experience. Services, amenities and personnel were very good at the hotel. All people were very kind and accommodating. The hotel is next to an art crafts market and the famous La Mariscal plaza where we found good food and entertainment. We were surprised to find that things were cheap as compared with prices in Puerto Rico where we live.

We had one of the best hotel experiences at the Colon that we have had in recent years. The staff was very attentive and helpful. There is a pool, hot tub, sauna, and weight room. All were in excellent condition and we put them to good use. Our rooms were cleaned beautifully every day. We had the Executive plan which included a huge breakfast, snacks (heavy hors'douvres) throughout the day, and an open bar from 6-8 PM weekdays and till 11 PM Friday and Saturday. In reality, we could've just eaten at the hotel and not gone hungry. Snacks included small sandwiches, chips and dip, bread sticks, tons of fresh fruit, nuts, olives, dried fruit, Soft drinks, water, and free drinks during happy hour. We would highly recommend the executive plan to others. We made reservations through an online travel company.

great hotel for quick overnight in quito, clean comfortable room, walking distance to old town

A quite and peaceful and very pleasant stay with very friendly and helpful staff, thanks for a plesant stay

We stayed here overnight coming and going on our trip to Ecuador. It was a very nice upscale hotel that fit our needs very well. The food in the cafe was surprisingly good. It is open 24 hrs. I wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Forty-two year old Hilton in Quito continues as a top flight property... delivering all that one expects from the international division of this chain. The Hilton Colon is NOT a ten minute walk from the colonial section - more like a 20 minute cab ride. It IS in a good section of town. Food is adequate if not what one would anticipate in countries with a greater love of cuisine.

if you have to stay in quito for just for an overnight this is a good place.
