On our way down from MN for the eclipse we thought we would tough it out and sleep in a Walmart parking lot in the back of our Subaru. Turns out I'm not as young as I used to be and I couldn't get a wink of sleep. So around 1am I called around to a few hotel's most were full, but the Quality Inn was open. The guy I talked to was really helpful and took my reservation over the phone. We drove there and he was even more helpful in person. He checked on our room to make sure everything was good and even called us when we got in to make sure everything was okay. It was a quiet night, the room was well-furnished, the air conditioning was awesome. This was also one of the most comfortable Hhotel beds I've ever slept on. The next day we had a full continental breakfast. Even with all the people that were there for the eclipse, they were fully stocked and the staff were very friendly. This was probably one of the busiest Mondays they've ever had. I would definitely recommend staying here.
Is a very nice and clean hotel bed was comfortable and the bathroom was was cleaned and stocked with plenty of towels. There is a restaurant on site did not eat there did not use the pool. Staff was friendly.
I would stay here again when I'm in town. Ashley at the front desk was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was better than in some more expensive hotels I've stayed. My room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The breakfast room was clean and staff was friendly and helpful. I couldn't have been more pleased with this stay.
Neat little hotel in Quincy for a good price. They have a nice little swimming area with a bar in the atrium. Our room faced the pool area which I thought was neat. They also have a restaurant inside the hotel but we did not eat there. Breakfast in the morning was great and the lady working in the breakfast cafe was super friendly and helpful. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the gal working the front desk at check in was not very friendly. Overall, a great stay.
i like the hotel was better than what i usually get at hotels i travel to the indoor restaurant and bar was superb and the room was clean and great i loved the view to the indoor pool from my room the workout area was great and loved it the breakfast was good had a verity for those who wanted something other than cold or hot cereal ... only downside was the internet service wasn't great it would go on and off at times ... if you don't care for internet service at all then this hotel is great as for me it was a nitpick but still needed my laptop. overall i give it a 8.5/10
We arrived at this hotel very late at night and were astounded at what we received for the price! This is an amazing property and even at 1:00 in the morning the staff was happy and attentive to us. We were sorry that we had to get rolling right away in the morning as we would have loved to have used the pool and other amenities! The hot breakfast was also amazing! Loved the friendly hostess and the strawberry pancakes!!
My husband and I were on a weekend get away and did not have a reservation because we weren't sure where we were going to end up for the night. We were lucky enough to stumble upon this beautiful hotel. It is very nice and has blackout curtains so you can get a good night sleep. It has one of the best continental breakfast we have ever had at a hotel.
I booked 2 rooms for 2 nights. The hotel it self was beautiful and nice. The restaurant was great. The 1st night I slept perfectly fine but my grandmother who had her own room had a terrible night. But it was because of a baseball tournament and golf tournament in town. The 2nd night was just everyone out having a party. We will definitely be staying here again.
Location is great. Downtown, close to the river. It's on a one-way street, so if you're coming in at night, just be aware of that. Check-in was smooth and they give you a list with the wi--fi passwords, restaurant (attached) hours, pool hours, breakfast hours, etc so you won't forget. I did not use the pool, but it looked nice. It looked clean, and the area around it was really nice. Cute little area to sit in. A lot of the rooms overlook the pool. The pool closes at 10, so if you want to go to bed early, you do not want a room that overlooks the pool. Breakfast was free, but just average: make your own waffle station, WAY over cooked eggs (they would have been better putting out less eggs more often), fruit, cereal, pastries. Now to the only reason I didn't give them 4 stars - the room. The bed was way more comfortable than I thought it would be. My guess is the mattress is fairly new. They give you plenty of options on pillows. But, they need to pay a lot more attention to cleaning. They have high gloss black surfaces which really show off if they have been cleaned or not. I took one of the bathroom towels and wiped every surface down first. There were hairs (10-15) on the bathroom counter. There was dirt (leftover toothpaste, just a guess) on the side of the counter. The tub had dirt in the corners. The see-through top shower curtain that they were so proud of that they advertised on their hanging sign in the shower had been dried with something in the dryer and damaged. It should have been replaced. The other issue with the room is the door. There is about a 3/4" gap at the bottom of the door. This lets in a ton of light. Of course, once I'm asleep, I don't care. What I did care about was the noise that it also let in. There was a group in that all wanted to start their day at 6am. The doors slam when you close them. Problem is, that door gap makes it sound like it's your door if the room is next to you or across from you. The people across the hall from me stood outside their door to talk, and it sounded like someone was in my room. They need some type of sweep or sound barrier on the door. if they pay much more attention to cleaning and details, it easily could have gone from a 3 to a 4.
If every hotel/motel/inn that I stay at were as great as this location, being away from home would be a bit more tolerable. It is just so wonderful to have a clean, comfortable, quiet room, full sevice restaurant (Drake's), lobby bar (Splash) and fresh included breakfast all under the same roof. I have stayed here before and always look forward to my stay here and this time was no different. I would of given this location an Excellent rating had it not been for indifferent check in/out front desk staff. They might not have outwardly cared that I was there, but I did and really that was all that mattered. All of the other staff, in the restaurant, at the lobby bar and in the breakfast area were all friendly, welcoming and conversational. This is a great place to stay and I look forward to my next time here.
