Nauvoo Grand Bed & Breakfast

We had an enjoyable stay in this bed and breakfast. We stayed in the upstairs attic area which was spacious and unique space. The house is well done and the breakfast was fine. It is a way from the main part of town. The night we were there though there was some kind of celebration going on across the street in the wine business that included some loud music. It wasn't too bad and did end at a decent time but was not expecting that at the time. We enjoyed our stay overall in this very unique community.

My mother won a free stay here from the Travel Mississippi website, and it was a remarkable stay. The house is old, grand, and well-decorated. We had a bedroom on the first level with an en-suite bathroom, and we were able to fit three of us inside comfortably. Without a doubt, the best part about the stay was breakfast and the host. They gave us coffee first thing in the morning, offered food for take away after the meal was over, and were generally just incredible. I would absolutely stay here again, just to enjoy the food.

We stayed 2 nights in Beth's Garden. The room was clean and charming. The innkeeper Suzie was very pleasant and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast. We enjoyed the antiques in the home and it's convenient location.

Beautifully restored old home converted to a bed and breakfast. Very welcoming staff. Suzie made us feel at home. We stayed in Grandma Eleanor's Attic which worked well for our family of four (kids each got their own bed). Breakfast waa fantastic.

Stayed here 2 nights in Grandma's Attic. Absolutely loved the atmosphere including the narrow winding staircase up to our room. Very well maintained and decorated to the T. Breakfast was as scheduled with plenty to eat. Very friendly atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you for your warm hospitality!

I'm not sure what the alternative is when coming to Nauvoo but at least it's clean. The house is old but charming. The area is good as it's out of the way of the touristy part of town but close enough you are there in a matter of minutes. If it were not for the room above us (We were in the Ellen's Orchard Room) and the band playing across the street until 11:30 pm, and the very noisy, squeaky, staircase It would be delightfully peaceful. The breakfast, in my opinion, could be skipped as it is not up to my standards of what a bed and breakfast at this price should be. I will say, however, it is not bad it is just not what it should be with very little choice. The rooms are big and have their own bathrooms but if you stay in the Ellen's Orchard Room you must walk the hallway to get to your bathroom. That means no privacy in and out of the bathroom but they do supply robes. The beds are comfortable. No modern electronics (Think old tube t.v.) and internet is slow.

If you want an authentic experience in a room from the 1800's and a hearty breakfast, this is the place to stay. We were greeted at the Baxter winery and enjoyed our stay in the beautiful Beth's Forest room. We enjoyed the large tub and modern bathroom and felt the bed was very comfortable. We had a hearty breakfast in the morning served by Peggy, who also chatted about the town and history. We went to the lands and records office and looked up my husband's ancestors and found out that one ancestor owned land that is behind the Grand Bed and Breakfast and even discovered right before we left that they also owned the actual land where the Baxter winery is! What a coincidence!

Thank you for the delicious breakfasts and good company. We love Nauvoo and now we love the Nauvoo Grand B & B. It might be helpful if someone from the Grand would just poke their head around the corner and just ask "has everyone met everyone else". This will get the conversation moving and prompt the shy to introduce themselves. The house is lovely and well kept with lovely plants, orchards, and vineyard behind. Bed needs a foam pad on it. We thought it was too firm. A coat of paint on the wood and shutters outside would make it more appealing. We especially loved the thousands of fireflies that appeared at twilight....so magical. Thanks for your hospitality.
