This is an older facility with cosmetic updates to most things but not the rooms. The introduction to the room was the heat because the air conditioner is very old and a simple on/off three speed model that is very loud. It also had a very dirty filter and shroud, thick with dust and whatever. The hallways however were cool and had modern, quiet, recently installed wall mounted units. Next we saw particles on the floor that looked like old dried up food. So much for houskeeping. Speaking of which, houskeeping knocked on our door before we had even checked out. The bathroom had a bulb burned out, a smelly sink drain and splatters of something on the wallpaper around the mirror. The bathroom also had a little sign indicating the facility conserves water by changing towels less often. Ironic then that the toilet was dated 1993 so was not a low flush model, that is it uses a lot more water than modern toilets. The internet was slow and dropped out repeatedly. One of our card keys needed to be reset twice, not good if you want to enter the building or your room quickly. Worst of all was the highway noise. We have stayed at inns/motels/hotels with a room on a busy road and had very little noise transmission through the glass. This facility has old tech glass that keeps out very little. The only way we could sleep was to use ear plugs. Overall the worst we have stayed in for a long time.

Stayed here for one night. Very comfortable beds. Room was clean. Staff were pleasant. Breakfast is a bonus. Would definitely stay here again! Short walk to downtown. Felt safe walking in the evening. Kerrig in room is a nice touch.

Rooms well kept, above average continental breakfast, lovely patio area, staff very helpful, pleasant, makes it one of the better places to stay, BUT Very poor location for traffic and noise. We were fortunate to be assigned another room on the quieter side, room105. Exit is through the back as it is too dangerous trying to leave via the front entrance due to a blind corner. Road is also the main thoroughfare into the city, hence the traffic noise problem. I would rate this highly gherkin if not for traffic and noise

We spent two nights here because we visited Barkerville for a day. I decided to stay here based on the TA reviews. Got a good rate on Priceline for $57 per night. The hotel is basic looking when pulling in, but we enjoyed everything about our stay. The staff was friendly at check-in. The queen room was clean and comfortable. The wifi was plenty fast enough. Really nice refrigerator in the room. My only small complaint was no HD channels on the TV. The breakfast was good for being complimentary. There were many choices including eggs (scrambled and hard boiled), sausage, waffles, breads, fruit, yogurt, juice, and cereal. The location is close to downtown and the road going to Barkerville. The hotel has a nice courtyard on one side and a small town park on the other. If you like craft beer then check out the Barkerville Brewing Company in Quesnel. Good stuff!

I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the front desk staff at this motel. Saturday night myself and my husband were driving in very late after an exhausting day of travelling and it was so nice to be greeted with such a warm smile upon entering the doors even at 12am. She took genuine interest in our travels and even suggested some great hikes in the area for the next day. Thank you for the pleasant stay Quality Inn!

Get the basics right!, we stayed for two nights in room 210. First impressions were ok! Sat on the toilet and the seat which was like a skate board , thrusting left to right which I duly fixed. We arrived early and went to use the Spa, this was out of order. We had also planned to use the BBQ that was advertised , until we saw the condition it was in, the grille and secondary grill were disgusting. The hotel itself is on the main highway and we were surprised at the amount of traffic noise from logging trucks , which was relentless throughout the night as the room was more to the rear. It was only after the second night and after inspection we found that the cantilever mechanism that secures the window, left a 2mm gap ! House keeping never visited after our first nights stay even though we had left the property before breakfast finished. Hot breakfast consisted of scrambled egg and sausage and on the first morning even though there was still 45 minutes left of breakfast time. There were 2 sausages and a small amount of egg in the trays ; then none. When we were asked on paying our bill wether everything was ok! I told Brianna the receptionist of our faults and concerns, she said she would let housekeeping know but never jotted anything down ,so I would be surprised if all or any are addressed.

Beds were comfortable. Place was fairly quiet. Has a small workout room but is near riverfront trail if you want to get your exercise outdoors. Breakfast was awesome. Scrambled or hard boiled eggs, sausages, bagels, waffle maker, yogurt, fruit, pastries, cereal. Excellent variety and eggs were cooked nicely. Very appreciated.

Overnight stay on motorcycle trip thru canada alberta / bc. Booked here based on trip advisor reviews. Excellent value, updated rooms. Shopping for basics and excellent restaurants nearby. Enjoyed my stay!!

I have stayed at this Quality Inn a number of times and it's a great place to stay. The staff are fairly average in terms of typical hotel staff helpfulness and friendliness. The rooms and hotel are clean and well maintained. There is a small gym which is pretty decent for a quick workout. The breakfast is also decent with a choice of eggs, waffles, yogurt, cereal, toast, and coffee and tea. It's about a 10 minute walk from downtown and has a great walkway beside the river behind the hotel. The room rates are decent and on par with the north.

We have stayed at this hotel 3 times now and it has been consistently good. Very comfortable beds and pillows. The hotel is old but has been maintained very well, nice to have a hot tub and very friendly staff., There is no elevator so if a guest has mobility issues, staying on the main floor would be best. Having a Keurig coffee machine in each room is another good feature. The breakfast which is included, has what you need to eat a decent breakfast. We like this because eating out for a family of 4 can really add up. Way faster too!
