Hotel was nice and traditional but rooms and bed were old.they need more cleaniness in hotel and of course it was hot so a fan wasn't enough.it lacks remodeling, they should renovate it and upgrade beds and all.staff should be more polite

Stayed there a night in wintertime. The place is pretty run down. Rooms in country style are old and urgently need brush up. Be careful in wintertime..! No heating..!! Believe me, it gets cold. The only thing they offer in room is wollen blankets. TV is very small, WiFi unrelieable. Showerhead scaled and spits in every direction. I got no breakfast, you need to go somewhere else. In summer it might be more fun, they have a big swimming pool but be carefull, beside an old fan hanging from the ceiling I guess there is no aircon.

The place is beautiful with easy access to the center but it needs more renovation and care. The rooms are OK. The swimming pools need more maintain and the large one with Jacuzzi was with cold water. The playground for the kids is huge and the place is more adapted to Family travel.

Hotel el Relox is a terrible place to stay. Every single of their services is a money trap. While it is ok for services like massages and spa to cost aditional to the room fee, its terrible that the billiard and minigames in the bar to have a cost PER HOUR. The hotel promised 4 pools around the hotel when in reality are only two, one of them out of order in holidays.

Only a two hour drive from our home in San Miguel de Allende The Relox is the perfect weekend getaway. Free parking on the grounds. Free internet. Five minute walk to the square. There was a light out our suite so they gave us an upgrade to the Penthouse. We were speech less to say the least. Great grounds, great Spanish speaking staff and located in the heart of Tequisquiapan which took my wive and me a week to learn how to pronounce the name of the city. Lots of really great restaurants, hotels and taxis are 25 pesos anywhere in the city. We will be back to the Relox.

We spent a nice day at the swimming pool and tequisquiapan downtown. The rooms are very noisy, you can hear every time someone gets into their rooms. This time, there was people coming back from party between 4.30 am until 6.30, you can imagine the kind of night spent with my husband and 2 little kids, not relaxing at all, as it would be expected on a weekend getaway...

I ve know this hotel since I was a little girl, just went back, Wow what a flash back. Dont think you are going to a luxury hotel, its rustic charm is vintage mexican style. But you are in for a great time. Thermal pools, Tennis. Beautiful gardens, A short walk to the beautiful colonial town, the market just down the street, you feel like you are back in time! The weathe is amazing feels like Spring all year long! But I saved the best for last The food! You ever been to grandmas for a great meal? Well it is not a Restaurant, it is grandmas kitchen! Every meal is freshley prepared and everything is delicious! Try surf and turf arrachera y camarones, guacamole, salsa molcajeteada, WOOOOOWW! The service is family around you! Dont miss out on this experience! Great place for conventions, weddings, or just family cultural fun!

This place is the classic example of a lie. It is rated four stars, wrong, barely it is two stars. The gardens are pretty but the guests will not sleep on the grass. The rooms are in really bad shape. Dirty, the rug awful, you cannot open the windows so I cannot imagine this place in summer (because they do not have AC), the shower doors falling down, and they dare to charge your credit card like a five stars hotel. The SPA service is just right, but the place where it is located is not the best because in the afternoon the temperature falls down at an incredible speed. And besides all that they announce themselves like an "Ecological paradise", another lie because they do not have saving water toilets, the faucets waste so much water that is painful to see. A garden does not make a place "ecological". Is disgusting, there are other options in Tequisquiapan. The hotel is placed in a small town in Querétaro State, Tequisquiapan. The town is really small so with a 3 minutes walk you are in the downtown, but there are a lot of hotels in the same condition. You can avoid a bad experience.

The location of this hotel couldn't be better. A very short walk will take you to the downtown area. People say that it's pricey for what you get, but this is not the case. If you expect a 5 star hotel, not even the one rated as "the best" in the area is a 5 star. This is a quiet family hotel, with typical architecture and nice pools and private therms that can be reserved at a low price. The food in the restaurant is ok. One of the best things is the complementary wifi connection, which you rarely get in any kind of hotels here in Mexico. The double rooms are small but nice. If you come with a big entourage, you can get bigger rooms in which you do not feel crowded. If you travel as a couple and are willing to pay a bit more, there are suites and even a very nice penthouse with private pool or jacuzzis. The hotel also has a small shop, pool bar, etc. if you bring electronic appliances such as iPad, laptop or smartphones, be sure to request in the reception for an electric cord extension which will be provided at no extra cost and you can keep for all your stay. Just mind that the sole electric connection in the room is way up by the tv on the wall (therefore, the extension cord). The staff is helpful and if you need someone that speaks English, it can happen. The parking lot is big with enough spaces, at no extra cost. The green areas are very pretty and you can walk around. All in all, the p,ace is nice and typical of the region. You won't regret your stay here. Last but not least, close to the hotel, in the plaza, there is a very nice place to eat that is exactly in front of the church, called Cilantro y Perejil. The food is very good, with barbecues and not expensive.

The Relox is an old tradition in Tequisquiapan, Queretaro. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is old so some issues may arise in the rooms, however if necessary you'll get a new room. There's a lot to do in the hotel (swim, play tennis or soccer, relax in a hammock, etc) and since the hotel is downtown you can enjoy the hole truistic areas by walking. The art crafts market is also a few steps away and there's lots to do and shop. Great place for a weekend.
