This place is dirty, the rooms have bugs and showers have no doors.Added to that the front desk folks are not very friendly. We arrived there and saw that the Pool view room that we had booked was not even overlooking a ppol, there were bug in the room.We requested a cancellation but we were not refunded.I will take it up with my credit card company and dispute the charges since they did not deliver as promised.
house was nice ensuite had a really cool shower loved the private pool and bbq close from town and all service and the beach as well quepos is a really nice town people are nice and the food is good and not to expensive
The hotel is nice. The breakfast was very good and the pool was very nice. They have coffee pots in the rooms but no coffe available so plan ahead if you need coffee like I do first thing in the morning. You do have to take the bus to the park and restaurants but it is not too far. The hammocks on the veranda were great. I saw some iguanas and colorful birds each day we were here. I would stay again.
The staff here is amazing. They should be the model for training hotel staff everywhere. They treat you like a friend. The room was beautiful with a view of the pool and the ocean. You can see the ocean from the pool deck. Try the Tabulia Sunset cocktail at the pool bar at happy hour! We came back at night and took a bottle of wine down to the pool because we wanted to sit outside and enjoy the night. The pool closes at 8 pm so we figured we would get kicked out. The security guard came by and was as sweet as can be. Just asked us not to swim, and then offered us better glasses from behind the pool bar for our wine, with a "Pure Vida!" left us to enjoy our wine. They stored our bags when we had to check out early. We loved this place!
Stayed here as part of a G Adventures tour for three days. The hotel is set on a hillside but they have a golf cart running continually up and down upon request. I would get picked up for each meal and taken back after. It was fun riding the golf cart and I never had to wait more than five minutes for it. The local bus that takes you to Manual Antonio Park is right outside the property. Very clean rooms and great air conditioning. I had a minor problem in my room that they were not able to fix so the very nice Property Manager upgraded me to a wonderful villa room. Good restaurant! Enjoyed the included breakfast and had dinner there as well. Thanks so much, highly recommend your hotel.
If you take the hotel only for sleep, its ok. The staff is nice and warm. The deluxe room is nice and clean but too small for a family of four. The pool area its ok. The restaurant is good, not very expensive. The only big complaint is that on sunday theres nobody cleaning the pool and it was a little dirty. We wanted to use the jacuzzi and we couldnt find any employee that could help us. Best part, the "Casa mirador". You have to climb around 400 steps and its a little bit risky but the view worth every step up and dowm.
Room was okay if you did not mind climbing the 80 steps up to get to it. A nice Breakfeast was included which was very good. Staff were very helpful. Coffee maker in room but charged you for a packet of coffee but Quote: (we provide you with a free filter when you purchase the coffee)...a bit cheesy. Nice pool to relax by and the wildlife around the pool was amazing. Monkeys , Iguanas and finally got to see a Toucan by the pool
I have traveled quite extensively, and I have never seen a hotel provide a coffee maker in the room, but charged for the room coffee. Holy Nickel-and-Dime, Batman! The AC in the room (very necessary - 95 degree heat and 98% humidity) barely kept the room cool. And there were about 40 steps just to get up to the room, with another 25 steps to get to the pool, and a further I-don't-know-how-many steps to get to an observation platform to get photos of the sun going down (no handrails on that last part - we turned back because the risk of falling was too great.) Not a great experience. We won't be going back.
Stayed here as part of a package trip - it was great! We had a "deluxe" room so our own little "villa". Just 2 of us so plenty of room, very comfy bed, ample hot water, great balcony, wi-fi. The pool was small but lovely and refreshing - happy hour 2/1 drink was fun (still expensive!). Good base camp to explore this area. Having breakfast included was helpful - not an extensive selection of options, but good food. Staff were friendly, helpful and most spoke lots of english.
If you want to stay in this hotel, get ready for: - Room description and photos mismatch - Free breakfast can become "none-free breakfast" - Front desk will drop calls from booking agency Long version: Reserved it through Expedia. It had a good price, nice room pictures, free breakfast. Well it all was nice before we started a check in. I was given they own version of confirmation letter, which stated "none-free breakfast" which was a bit a surprise for me, but not a deal breaker, I thought whatever. But then I've been shown a room that wasn't even close to whatever was on room photos on Expedia site and "garden view" was replaced with "wall view". I called Expedia customer support with a request to cancel this reservation, they tried to call hotel and make it follow their promises. After receptionist dropped phone a few times on Expedia guys, they moved me to the other hotel.
