The staff were very friendly. We had a great time.

We had two rooms for our family. The resort was beautiful. Very well run, service was great.

As an avid photographer and animal lover, this hotel is paradise. Every day gorgeous scarlet macaws would visit the almond trees on the hotel grounds. We saw several of our favorite Costa Rican animals, sloths (perezosos), including a mother carrying her newborn baby. It was an incredible experience to be swimming in the pool with a sloth in one tree, and scarlet macaws in the other. Unforgettable. We also saw several hummingbirds, toucans, a mot-mot, agoutis, parakeets, many other beautiful birds, and of course the ever-present iguanas and their famous leader, Pedro! Quite simply, the grounds of the hotel are unsurpassed in their beauty. The views of the Pacific Ocean, which you have pretty much anywhere at the hotel, are simply stunning. The pools are the nicest of any we have ever seen in our lives. The hotel itself is beautiful, inviting, and warm. The grounds are nicely maintained, and the flowers are beautiful. The monkey trail has to be seen to be believed—like something out of a dream. There is natural beauty all around you at The Parador, and it truly is a paradise on Earth. Staying at The Parador is an unforgettable experience. The jaw-dropping natural beauty, the incredible wildlife, the supremely wonderful and friendly staff, the sweeping views of the ocean, the amazing pools, and the location make The Parador a must for any visit to Costa Rica. The Parador is the reason we fell in love with Costa Rica, and it will always hold a special place in our hearts.

Huge property, good loacation, helpful and friendly staff. Would recommend elevators for luggage for rooms further up. Got to wake up to sounds of monkeys, saw some Tucans and loads of lizards. Would def come back again!

We had a great time at the pools and the monkey trail!

The following is a letter I sent to the Hotel Parador after our visit last week. I mean every word of it. To Everyone at the Hotel Parador Resort & Spa, Greetings from Pennsylvania, USA! We have been back home for a few days now, and it has allowed me some time to reflect on our stay at your hotel. I can say, without any hesitation, that our time at the Parador was the single greatest experience of our lives. Not only is your hotel stunningly beautiful, but the natural beauty and wildlife that abounds on the hotel grounds left us completely awe struck. As if that were not enough, everyone that works at the hotel---from the young man who showed us to our room, to the cleaning ladies, to the groundskeepers, to the young ladies in the gift shop, the folks at the front desk, and our outstanding waiters---were so helpful and friendly that they felt more like friends and family. It was an experience unlike anything we’ve ever had, and it was extremely difficult to leave. Your hotel is, in one word, paradise. On our first morning I woke up early to go exploring around the hotel. Upon opening the door, I was stunned to find two large toucans right in front of me in the low branches of the tree outside our door. For an avid photographer such as myself, your hotel is like a Mecca. The toucans, however, were only the beginning. Without ever leaving the hotel grounds we spotted howler and white-faced capuchin monkeys, at least four different species of hummingbirds (colibrís), at least ten different species of butterflies, countless species of unique and colorful birds, agoutis, iguanas, and more. We were actually disappointed that we left the hotel to go visit Manuel Antonio National Park because we saw many more animals at the Parador! Walking your rainforest trail was like stepping into another world---almost like an alien planet. It’s absolutely incredible. I’m not sure how to fully express how impressed I was with the staff. We had the same waiter for most of our meals, and we truly felt like he was our friend by the end of our trip. He was even thoughtful enough to put together a celebratory dessert for my partner’s birthday. Everyone on the staff had a smile on their face and treated us like family. We have never experienced this level of hospitality---nothing even compares. Quite simply, your hotel is the most beautiful hotel we have ever visited. The wonderful pool, the incredible wildlife and beautiful forest, the outstanding views, the great food, and the incredibly friendly and wonderful staff made this the best vacation of our lives. The only thing we did not like about the Parador was that we couldn’t stay forever. Many visitors to your country stay at several hotels during their trip---to them, I would say: “Don’t bother. Just stay at the Parador!” I hope that we are able to return to the Parador very soon. You should all be very proud of your hotel in paradise.

Beautiful hotel with breathtaking views! Awesome bartenders, especially Gerardo he knew us by name after meeting us once!

Right near the hotel we've seen three types of monkeys, exotic birds, sloths and more... The beach nearby has underwater rocks were the colorful fish(small) gather. Sunrise sky is amazing. Hotel is a little bit isolated but the hotel bus will take you to the beaches in Manual Antonio. I rented a car but the driving was a challenge for me. We had breakfast, lunch and dinner in the hotel. Great place.

Hotel is in a beautiful location. Included breakfast is excellent and pools are very nice and relaxing. We will go back and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.

We got the premium ocean view room and it was perfect for us. Great view, great room and very cosy. Our only complaint is that the shuttle from the beach back to the hotel arrived early and we missed it. Had to walk back. We would definitely come back here. We loved it.

The view and landscaping was breathtaking. All the staff was courteous and respectful. The wait staff was top notch and truly made you feel welcome in another country. The breakfast bar was like no other and the food overall was great. An area of improvement would be there booking system for services at the Spa and quality of massages. Outside of this the Parador was AMAZING ! I definitely recommend it to others !

This hotel ended up being the perfect choice for us. Hotel is in a beautiful location high up on a ridge overlooking the Pacific. You can walk down some trails to a nice beach but it's a hike. We didn't mind at all but it's not for everyone. Staff was great in helping us plan some great excursions and in generally taking care of us with food, information and anything else we needed. There even was a fascinating nighttime tour through the hotel grounds to see nocturnal wildlife - frogs, raccoons and such. Super cool. Room was spacious and clean with an AMAZING view of the jungle and then ocean beyond. And you could see howler monkeys in the trees all around our balcony. Overall a great experience.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! It has a wonderful view and beautiful surroundings. The price was a bit high, but it was really worth it for me. It has several pools to choose from. It has some very nice decorations and paintings around the hotel. The restaurant food was very good and surprisingly affordably priced. I would definitely stay again and would recommend it to a friend.

The Parador Resort is a great place to stay if you are visiting Manuel Antonio. The rooms are very nice and the grounds are very well maintained. The food is great as well. My one complaint would be the pool. It completely ruined our swim suits. I talked to the hotel manager and she assured me it was my sunscreen. However, we've used the same sunscreen for years with no problems. So, if you stay here make sure to wear swimsuits that are older or inexpensive.

Welcome was great. Room was big and always clean. Cleaning lady very kind. Shower worked well, drainage good. Internet worked on the balcony, not always IN the room. The generators turn in when there's an outage due to heavy storms. Amenities were good; 1 adult pool (relaxing!), and one for adults +kids. The gym has all that one needs: yoga, eliptical, treadmill, free weights, balls eyc. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The staff took a personal interest in making sure I felt comfortable. Food was good. High (too high?) security. Two negatives: the hotel is at the very end of a steep hill. There's a shuttle but only 1x hour and it stops at 5:10. This means that you either need to pay 2x $10 to get in/out town or eat dinner at the resort, which can make the stay pricey. I'm an athletic person and walked every morning up the hill bc the shuttle doesn't start until 8:30., but it's a steep 20 min walk. There's no bus on the 2K road to get to town. Once on the main road there's a bus to the park/quepos. Another negative: I stayed alone in the hotel. I knew the security was tough and I appreciate it up to when it interferes with hospitality, so when I wanted to invite my colleagues to the hotel for a work lunch, I asked permission in advance. I was told we could do a lunch and prepare for a big presentation if I would give the names in advance and IDs were needed. We had no problem with that; security is important and appreciated. My colleagues were friendly greeted at the gate. However, the reaction of the young lady congierge was rude. We were told about the rules: don't do this, don't do that, you can't go anywhere else but the restaurant etc. we weren't planning on a dip in the pool or walking around; I cleared it in advance that we wanted to have lunch and do work. The line between hospitality and security was crossed and we felt in a prison. I didn't invite coworkers over for dinners or a drink on other nights. Instead, I spend my money in town where we were welcomed in a more friendly way.

From start to finish it was fantastic. This is a most beautiful place on earth. Eco friendly and the grounds are fantastic lots of wild life and plant life to observe. The staff do everything they can to exceed your expectations. I really didn't want to leave. The food is delicious and the complimentary breakfast is outstanding. I highly recommend the Parador Resort and Spa!!! While I was in Costa Rica I took the guided tour through the Manuel Antonio National Forest and I tried zip lining. All fantastic and arranged through the resort.

The resort stay was great. The service was tops. Staff was always helpful and went the extra mile. I guess my only gripe is the resort is too far out of the way. If you wanted to experience the local cuisine, a cab was necessary. There's no walking to the local shops or restaurants. I guess that's a good thing if you're looking to hide from it all. Also, the drinks are a little steeply priced averaging between $8 and $9.

great hotel. wonderful staff. Food could stand to be a little cheaper and we might have eaten there more.

We enjoyed our stay at the Parador. The staff were eager to please and the hotel was clean and had great views of the ocean. I especially liked the adult only pool. We had dinner and breakfast in the hotel restaurant . I would say the food was average, The pool area and views are spectacular! Take the path to the beach...and call for golf cart service if walking is too much.

We took several excursions with help from the wonderful travel tour staff. The parasailing and catamaran were two of my favorites. We actually saw several dolphins pointed out by our boat driver. It was amazing. The howler monkeys could be heard about the same time every day. They sound like something from a horror film but it was exciting to see them on the grounds of the monkey trail. The complimentary breakfast buffets and free bus shuttles to the beach and park was a nice bonus. The staff of the Parador were all friendly and helpful with anything asked of them. My only suggestion would be to have some sort of entertainment on site. For example, a game room, pool table or live music. There was not much to do after dark unless you left the resort. Overall, we had an amazing vacation and would highly recommend this resort to anyone wanting a lot of sun and fun!
