ok, this hotel isnt bad but its very average. There appears to be a significant lack of maintenance and and dated decor. We found most of the power points didnt work to simply charge a phone or laptop. The location is excellent however - a minute walk to the lake and shopping. It want a great location and dodnt care much for the rest then this is a decent enough hotel for you
The Lofts Apartments (three star accommodation) are very convenient located just a stone's throw from the heart of Queenstown, New Zealand (very close to restaurants, bars, shops, etc.) and not far away from the Int'l Airport (about 6.5 Km). Our 3-room Apartment (with kitchen facilities) was big and comfortable and with a large balcony with great views over the Lake and the surrounding mountains. There was a small problem with the limited parking facilities but at the end everything run smoothly. The prices were mid-range and the staff was friendly and helpful. We used the Lofts Apartments as a starting point to go around (e.g. Kawarau Budgy Centre- budgy jumping over kawarau river from the bridge) as well as to go to marvelous Milford Sound Fijord for a cruise and summing up our stay we were satisfied with our accommodation there.
We visited for one night in a three bedroom apartment which turned out to be two bedrooms and a mezzanine with four beds. The apartment was old, tired, shabby with peeling paintwork and torn curtains. The bathrooms and shower were rudimentary to say the least and the entire place smelt badly. Although centrally located (which is a positive) the noise outside stopped us from being able to sleep. It was an extremely expensive apartment costing more than NZ$600 for one night although it felt more like a backpackers hostel. The beautiful photos that have been posted on trip advisor are nothing like the actual apartment. We would not consider staying here again.
I've been mean to write this review since my husband and I visited in September. We stayed at The Lofts for about 10 days, using it as a base to explore the surrounding snowfields. We weren't after a five star resort with all the bells and whistles - we wanted a good location, a comfortable bed and kitchen amenities. The Lofts really delivered on all accounts. The staff were incredibly helpful - particularly Samarth Arora, the Assistant Manager - who helped us out when our neighbours got a little too roudy and we needed somewhere to store our luggage for a couple of days. We're planning another trip to Queenstown in the near future and will most likely be returning to The Lofts
We stay on this hotel for two nights and we thing it was a good stay. The man in the reception helped us with the parking ( we forgot to book a parking place). The apartment is very big, nice and clean. You are inte the center of the town and you are close to everything!
We tried to book accommodation in Queenstown two days before arrival and managed to only find this 3 bedroom apartment available as the whole city was fully booked for our stay. While the apartment was very expensive for us as a couple, it offered accommodation for 6 people, the apartment was lovely. Located in the heart of the city, it is within walking distance of the gondola and whalf area. The apartment was spacious, very clean and comfortable with great views from the deck. Parking incurred a fee and parking on the premises was very tight.
Stayed in 3 bedroom apartment with beautiful views towards the lake and The Remarkables. New fully contained kitchen, 2 bathrooms and plenty of space. Located within a minute walk of everything central Queenstown offers. 2 young boys so being very close to the lakeside park and gondola was handy.
Started off in a studio apartment . Really can't recommend them . Shabby - not shabby chic!- carpets badly stained, shower ventilated by a window that wouldn't close- not ideal in winter! , and a rather uncomfortable bed. Overlooking the Main Street it was incredibly noisy at night and we were woken very early by garbage trucks and street cleaners. However we then transferred into a one bed apartment . Chalk and cheese! Large , airy, quiet with all facilities you could possibly want. Great location , close to restaurants, shopping , mountain transport
This is our 3rd stay at Loft Apts and for good reason. It's close to bus stops that take you up the mountain and also the Station or depo where the buses also leave from. Queenstown is small so restaurants and shops are all pretty close no matter where you stay but I have found The Loft Apts is a pretty quiet place. They all have the same basic cooking implements. Our fry pans have never been non-stick so cooking eggs and bacon in the morning is a challenge, our powder dispenser in the dishwasher didn't work properly and one of the bathroom taps dripped heavily but these aren't the end of the world. Make sure there is a DVD player in the room as TV channels are limited. Beds are made daily and fresh towels supplied. There is a drying room for skis and boards after a day on the mountain and storage facilities for luggage after check out if required. Reception open 8-8pm, friendly and helpful.
Stayed here for a week at it was fabulous. The rooms provide full kitchen facilities and rooms are huge. The rooms are very quite and the view of the remarkables is so stunning. The staff is very helpful and friendly. The manager mangal and one of the staff Bali was very helpfull when asked what to do around. I am fully satisfied with the servicd. MUST RECOMMENDED!!
