We stayed with Commonage Villas at Queenstown during winter and it was absolutely beautiful! The villas have the most amazing view of the lake and the mountains. The only slight issue was that the hot water ran out so that's something to keep in mind if travelling with a large group but otherwise we had a wonderful stay.

Fabulous location with stunning views. Everything we needed - comfy bed, well equipped kitchen, lovely lounge with balcony and view of the lake. Great TV and sound system and a jacuzzi bath. Loved it all!

Stunning views and well equipped villa. Perfect for our family of 5. Very comfortable all round. Close to centre although walk back very uphill. Only 2 negatives, the master shower smelled a bit of sewerage which probably just needed bleach in the drains and the daily cleaners were not very good.

A wonderful stay. Well equipped kitchen, magnificent views of Queenstown, fabulous bathrooms and walk-in robes. The walk up and down the hill is great to walk off the delicious food and wine offered in town. That said, if you don’t want to walk the complimentery daily taxi voucher is there to use.

Excellent location, quiet, above town noise. Spacious, clean, modern. All the amenities you could want. Spent lots of time on the balcony enjoying the view. Request a unit on lower side of property, as the view is unobstructed. Walking trail to Queenstown Hill is right around the corner. This accommodation has to be one of the best in town. Only addition would be fans in each bedroom as the unit could get warm during the summer day. Management quickly brought more upon request. Perfect spot for multiple day stay. Also, trash capacity and some kitchen utensils were lacking. Coffee makers would be good addition. Had to boil water and make with French Press. Not a tragedy.

Spacious, luxury accommodation. Peaceful, yet only 10 /15 minute walk from town centre. Fabulous spot to watch the sun set over Lake Wakatipu. Our daughters - 19 and 13 - reckon it was the best family holiday we've had.

This review is for Villa 3 and our stay was perfect which is a really big call for me to make. Villa 3 (and Villa 11) are managed by Sotheby’s and they have thought of literally everything. Queenstown can get a little rowdy and crowded over the Christmas break so being just that little bit out of town (5 minute walk downhill) was excellent. Another thing to mention is that, for once, the pictures online of the property match the reality. The Christmas tree was a lovely touch and very much appreciated. If I was able to pack this Villa up & take it with me, I would have. I run an interiors IG page and am SUPER fussy and some might even rudely say, hard to please so take this review as a mega endorsement. If you can afford it (and all things considered, it’s not too pricey as the Villa comfortably sleeps 6), I highly recommend a stay here so call Michelle at Sotheby’s to book yourself in. Immediately.

We were so pleasantly surprised by everything about this accommodation. The quality of the entire villa was outstanding we even had an internal elevator going from the garage to each of the three floors. The views from each floor over the lake could not be better. One piece of advice is the need for a car. The Villas are situated high on a hill so while going down into Queenstown is easy not so the return trip, it is a very steep climb

As others have mentioned, the villas and furnishing are of extremely high quality. The views are gorgeous. A friend who has stayed at and visited multiple apartments in Queenstown said they didn't get any better than this. I have stayed at Four Seasons Residences, Marriott apartments etc and the standards are similar except for the lack of air-conditioning and a reception counter. The apartment had 3 levels with the master bedroom on the top level, the living/dining areas at the second level and 2 bedrooms at the lowest level. The top floor could get very warm in the day and while it generally cooled off by the evening, there was a night when we had to move the standing fan (there was one in the garage) into the master bedroom to use it. There are no staff on site and while they state that staff are always contactable via phone between 8am and 8pm, you often had to leave voice messages. Air-conditioning at least on the top floor in the summer heat would have been greatly appreciated but otherwise, this apartment was near perfect.

From the moment you walk in the door you know you've booked the best place in Queenstown. The views are to die for, from the kitchen, sitting on the couch, lying in bed or sitting on the balcony. We stayed in Villa 7 and the cleanliness of the villa was perfect and I am picky. Its the extra touches that make all the difference. When we arrived there was music playing and fresh flowers on the dining table. We will definitely be back to Queenstown and would't consider staying anywhere else. If I was to give one downfall it would be the main bedroom upstairs could have a ceiling fan. As we stayed in December and it was warm during the day this bedroom got quite warm with the afternoon sun streaming in.
