Felt so welcome, very nice staff and room was very quaint and peaceful. Would definitely stay again. Pub has fantastic food and staff. Very warm welcoming atmosphere.

Cute room, perfect for what we needed. My only complaints would be that the door to the bathroom didn't stay completely shut and there was no fan on the bathroom to create circulation during showers so it made things feel quite hot and muggy throughout.

The location is beautiful but be prepared for more rustic and cramped accommodations. Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

I know they do state rooms are over the bar can be noisy but the music/band was so loud you actually could sing along. This continued to 11:30 ish.There was a lot of banging and crashing that continued till at least 1 am that was unbearable! No breakfast to be had, restaurant doesn’t serve breakfast, for people staying with a 2 night minimum that is not cool. Doubt I’ll stay there again. There is some better choices on the island like Taku resort.

The property itself is in a very beautiful area...lovely views of the marina and great pub. The dining room only opens for the full menu at 5 and I WOULD RECOMMED RESERVATIONS..we stood waiting for info when it opened at noon, no one helped us, we came back at 5 and there were signs saying no more space for diners, although the restaurant cooked the food for the pub you can not get all off the menu in the pub The rooms do not have any amenities that most do, no tv, radio or clock or even a hair dryer...we were in the only room with two beds, mine was hard and noisy...

1) We were not happy with the shower in room 12. The water would be pleasantly warm and then turn ice cold and not warm up again. 2) For the price of the room, the mattress should be better quality.

I just liked the joint.. it's not high end in a way an "okay overall stay". The staff are friendly, interesting people, laid back in general. The surroundings are lovely and it's pet friendly. Basically you'll be staying in the old jewel of Quadra Island where most tourists and locals alike seem very fond of it, regardless of age. Having said that you are part of a hospitality community as well as a guest. Not sure if that makes sense. If in you ever spent time working seasonally in a tourism and locally loved haunt in Banff or Canmore you will nostalgically take it in stride. Keep in mind sometimes the pub hosts a live band. You're in a harbour so you will hear it anyhow but ask about your room's location if you like quiet earlier at night. Clarify with hotel if there are recommended quiet times posted and observed. I don't recall noticing music late into the night from my room. I was not located above the pub side of the hotel. Basically kinda like the Sylvia in Vancouver. Bed was okay for comfort but I like a firm mattress. Rooms are not roomy. No coffee./tea or kettle in your room but an area in hallway set up for coffee/tea that may or may not be ready before 7:30 AM. Just stay on island time.

This place was not worth the price I paid. $399 per night was not ok for what we got. This place is old and was never renovated and there was a strong foul smell in the entire place. Some windows also didn’t have screens making it impossible to leave the windows open without bugs flying in.

It is a lovely heritage building ideally located on the cove with great views to Heriot island. However the room was very disappointing. Not the same as photos … no window in room, and poor cleanliness / state of repair.
