friendly check-in/out. rooms have odd set-up, guests need to stand up to turn on/off bedside lighting, no fan in bathroom, water in shower does not maintain hot/cold (reported). had to move furniture to find outlet for charging device. good budget choice, good waterfront view, welcoming staff.

This is an old building, but the room has been updated and the bed was comfortable. The view from our second floor balcony was amazing

This is my 4th stay at this motel. I stay here every time I do the Grizzly Bear tour. It is a great place to stay, beautiful views, well appointed kitchen, comfortable beds. Staff are friendly and helpful. I will stay here again and dont hesitate to recommend it.

Great room-WOW view!

Room had lots of space, beds were comfortable, room was very clean. Long patio with comfortable chairs and a wonderful view! Parking was a little tight but doable. Would stay again.

Above the Tide Motel does not pretend to be a 5 star property. It is dated for sure, but it has a lot of good things about it too. The staff is friendly and helpful, the room was clean and the bed was comfy. Although small, the room had many conveniences, and it was was very affordable, and well located. If you like being oceanside, and I do, it has a great view of the waters between their shoreline and Quadra Island, with lots of marine birds and sea life to watch.

The location was good as you could walk downtown. The view from the balcony was amazing. The bed was pretty good. The room was clean. The ac unit was super loud. We were surprised that the building is quite old. We expected more for the price. Location and the view is what you pay for.

Great view and close to town/ferry. Comfortable room with coffee facilities appreciated. Air conditioner was too loud to sleep so had to leave off. Bathroom door needed latch repaired, but usable. Staff friendly and attentive. Would stay again.
