Great location, nice room, helpful, friendly staff. Carpets have seen better days and parking is tight. If you arrive late you may end up in a no parking zone ... staff are solutions oriented and helped me find a spot.

Property was good older building for sure there is an elevator and or stairs you can take ice machine on the bottom floor. After 9:30pm They lock the parking garage,which is nice. Hotel offered breakfast. It was good eggs were hot sausages, coffee, toast, yogurt. Right across the street is the ocean you can have beach fires the restaurant down the road called 50 parallel was really good but it closed at 9 PM.

Big rooms. Nice breakfast. Great coffee. Beautiful surroundings. A little in need of a refresh but the rooms were clean and everything worked. We are planning on coming back in the fall to this hotel.

Unfortunately, we won’t be going back..

The good part was they had an elevator. Only one person at check-in time, whom was also doing laundry and answering the phone. Laundry was downstairs from the main entrance. We were told they were having staffing issues at the property. The rooms were large but needed updating, no view of the ocean from our room. We looked at a couple other room types that may have an ocean view, but they smelt musty and we decided to keep the one we had. Breakfast was okay. The lady that checked us in was super friendly but also run off her feet.. unfortunately we won’t be going back to this property.

Booked three nights based on reasonable reviews. First room smelled of stale cigarettes and damp so we were upgraded free of charge to a suite. Only redeeming features are free laundry and size of room. Hotel is in poor repair, balconies have poor views, fly screens removed, no net curtains, stained carpets. We left after one night and paid to stay in Courtney. Hotel won't refund us for the 2 nights we didn't stay despite best efforts by Expedia. The reviews are questionable as they don't reflect the reality of this grotty hotel. Next door pub/ restaurant also serves low quality food. And the walk into Campbell River is long and there's not much when you get there. Stay in Comox/ Courtney is our tip. Much prettier and more hotel choices.

Check in process was uncomfortable. The original room booked had been given to someone else; they showed me 3 other rooms….one completely unacceptable; one was being occupied so that was awkward! And the third - while the room/suite was ok, the bathroom door needs to be replaced, there is large gouges out of the gyproc at the kitchen corner needing repair; there were stains on the sheets of the bed….completely unacceptable. When I finally got to speak to the ‘manager’ she offered me $50 off my room. I took it, but really that discount was nothing. We slept on top of the sheets….these sheets should never have been put on the bed. It was such a disappointing experience we didn’t want to eat at the breakfast bar and went to Tim Hortons instead.

We stated 3 nights. Nice room. Very comfortable bed. We were upgraded from a room with a King bed to a “one bedroom suite” with a queen bed and a second queen Murphy bed. We didn’t use the Murphy bed but did find having a kitchen and living room separate from the bedroom worked out great. There is a great restaurant just 2 properties away. It is also just across from the water and “shoreline walk”We have stayed here before and will again.
