Staybridge Suites Davenport3.0 out of 5.0

The first hotel, Holiday Inn in Davenport, Iowa was fully booked because of two conferences. The second hotel, Staybridge also in Davenport, was what we initially wanted but could not find, turned out to be a gem. We stayed in a wonderful Staybridge in London in 2016 and are familiar with the brand. Holiday Inn owns it. After we checked-in and even before we unpacked the car, we were invited to sit down to a complimentary dinner at the hotel. Chicken fingers, chicken wraps, pita bread, salad, cookies, chips, salsa, unlimited beer, wine, and sodas were available as part of the rate of $164 per night before taxes. There were many happy customers from the sounds of laughter in the pretty dining area. The full complimentary breakfast was substantial. Canned V8, coffee, juices, teas, milk, eggs, sausages, and assorted breads and muffins. It was a buffet with a large array of goodies. A cheerful energetic hostess kept the place running in top shape. The room was an apartment. I could actually stay here for a month. There was a full kitchen replete with refrigerator, dish washer, stove, microwave oven, coffee-maker, pots, pans, dishes, mugs, glasses, and utensils. A working desk was adjacent to a small comfortable living room that invited you to put your feet up and enjoy the television. Very clean and neat were the bed and bathroom area. The tub and toilet were in a separate room from the make-up/dressing area. The design of the entire room was very efficient, bright, and attractive. It made for an enjoyable stay. We could spread out. By far and away, Staybridge is our loveliest hotel in the long arduous car trip that we are taking to and from the Yellowstone National Park from home in Virginia. It was such a relief from a treacherous driving day in the ceaseless rain. Good job folks, whether it is Staybridge, London, England or Davenport, Iowa! Thank you.
I am an IGH rewards member, and I like to stay at Staybridge Suites whenever I need a hotel. I was passing through Davenport and saw they had a Staybridge so I decided to stay here. The check-in process was easy and the staff was polite and helpful. The hotel was new and the rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel also had an excellent breakfast buffet. Overall this was a fantastic hotel. I only have a couple of negative comments. The pool was a little dirty and could use a cleaning. The chain on my door in room 415 was broken and was falling off the wall. The shower head in my bathroom was also broken and would keep falling down. The biggest problem I saw was that the elevator was very dirty and didn't look like it had been cleaned in quite a while. I would still recommend this hotel to anyone needing a place to stay in the area. Hopefully the staff at the hotel will improve in these areas and I would defiantly give it a 5 star rating.
This hotel is a very nice place. Very clean rooms and also quiet. Nice kitchen in the rooms, if needed. The breakfast in the morning is one if the best in a hotel. Nice swimming area and exercise room. We stay at this hotel whenever we are on the area.
Probably the best location in the area...close to all interstates and highways, close to shopping, dining options are unlimited and the hotel went through a renovation were nothing was overlooked. The front desk staff need some training and unfortunately some of the younger girls who work at night are rather rude and uncaring at times. However, there are a few on staff at the hotel who are true stand outs...the manager really tries to please EVERY person. Patrick is so pleasant and a real worker who deserves to be recognized. Our housekeeper Hannah was the best. Polite, respectful, kept a clean room, was trustworthy and always had a smile to greet you. Let's not forget Myrna, a joy to start the day with giving her morning hello's to all and serving the guests during the morning breakfast service! I have to say there is lots of room for improvement though. The outside of the property is poorly cared for. Certain areas of the inside are not cared for such as the inside of elevator, a gross mess. All they do is mop the floor and the walls are disgusting. The fitness room hasn't been cleaned in who knows when??? The laundry room also has not been tended to in ages. Some of the common areas and front windows were pretty bad as well. All in all if it's a short stay you should be fine but avoid a long term stay....just my advise
Good location in QC. Close to shops and restaurants. Close to interstate but not so close you can hear it. Staff are friendly and helpful. Free breakfast and social drinks and dinner are excellent. Rooms are tastefully furnished and rooms are always of a high standard.
This is a fantastic property. Big clean rooms, newer decor, new beds, and quiet. The lighting and showers were very good and the staff superb. Couldn't be better. Especially for the price. We would definelty stay at this hotel again.
used my IHG membership great rate. super value large room great for extended stay. The bed was heavenly. Plenty of places to eat close to the hotel. Much better hotel than the new holiday inn. Breakfast was great. back on the road.
I 've stayed at many hotels in the quad cities but this was my first stay at Staybridge Suites . I was in a 2 bedroom which was very clean . They offered breakfast in the morning and evening receptions in the evening. We also went swimming in the pool which was warm and clean. My favorite time is breakfast with my 3 yr old and we enjoyed meeting Myrna . Myrna made sure the breakfast buffet was stocked every morning and made sure to ask everyone if they were ok. She was so sweet and we will definitely be back and make Staybridge suites our first choice .when in the Quad Cities.
Would go five star but was given a HUGE attitude by the manager when asking for an upgrade. I stay at a ton of hotels and am Spire elite member highest level of the IHG club membership) and after looking at his screen - honored my request. Rooms was clean and everything was perfect. room was quiet and location was great. Too bad the manager threw the attitude.
A relatively new hotel that is a real steal for the price. All the rooms are huge suites that have a fully stocked kitchen, "living room" area, separate bedroom and bath. Impeccably clean, which is always important to us. Staff was welcoming and sincerely willing to help in any way possible. Ask for the AAA, or senior rate and save even more.
