We liked the proximity to the beach. We didn't like the food or the drink as we bought the "inclusive" package once we got there. The food was terrible and the drinks had very little alcohol in them.

Like that it is a Mexican family resort! Friendly and Clean. Right on beach. Employees friendly and helpful. Like the buffet type lunches, breakfast and dinners. Feel safe in the area. Quite places to go in evening, and some entertainment. Easy access to tours or site seeing in the area.

The employees are amazing, some don't speak very good English, don't speak good Spanish, it worked. Food was always excellent, service was more than expected. Our room great. We so enjoyed our stay there and are coming back next year. i didn't mention my only simple complaints, cleaner beach chairs in the morning and perhaps a no kids pool. Anyone who stays there and complains, needs to realize this is a family

This hotel is for the locals! Here’s are the pros: beautiful view from the superior ocean view room. Nice palapas, friendly staff although no one really speaks English. We were allowed one dinner on the beach with food to order, that was very good. The cons: the food is terrible! The food is both unhealthy and unflavorful. I became sick on the last day of our 6 night stay after only having consumed food and beverages from the hotel. I’m not a drinker either, so it was not from the alcohol. There was loud construction in the room directly next to us and also above us. The construction woke us at 8am and did not cease until after 6 pm. It was loud and we only got a break on Sunday. The construction noise was so loud we could not be in our room while they were working. A few nights we also had neighbors in an adjacent room in which we could here their conversation, TV, and doors opening and shutting. There were also daily crowds of teenagers who appeared to be at a day camp arriving midday and staying into the late night (around 10 pm). Once they arrived, the lines for food were impossibly long and the bathrooms were too dirty and full to utilize. I always used the bathroom in our room. There is no food or drink service on the beach. The chairs and tables become trashed quickly trashed as they are not bussed by the staff or guests. This is the only vacation in which I’ve wanted to go home early. I would not stay at this hotel even if paid to do so.

The hitel is very run down. The AC does not work. The front desk attendant does not speak english. And the pictures dont match the hotel. The windows are tiny which makes you feel like ur in prison. We cancelled and moved to another hitel and they still charged us for an unused night. Very disappointed.

The room we stayed in needs to be updated. We had leaky sinks and taps and the bathroom was filthy, It was so bad that the floor was actually sticky with grime.

Good location, staff, but paper thin walls. NOISY !!

Nice Hotel, Not so happy to cross street to go to the Beach and for Meals. The all inclusive food very basic, and not pleasant to see flies in the Buffet. Employees are very friendly !

A standard room just like you find in most bargain motels, but for the price it was worth it. We had perfect weather everyday and plenty of sand to walk in along the beach. Shopping within walking distance and we were pleasantly surprised by the prices.

We enjoy it here, this is about our 5th trip to this hotel. If you are looking for a 5 star night life this is not the place. Relaxing and comfortable.

4th time. Will continue to go back. Beautiful weather

This is a completely different experience than I've had at any other resort. This is a Mexican resort geared for Mexicans. The food is authentic and delicious with many local and regional recipes. Most signage is only in Spanish. There are a limited number of English speaking staff also. That being said, this was the most enjoyable Mexican vacation I've ever had !! Hands down the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. They were truly concerned about your happiness. The level of service here is as good and many times better than many of the large resorts I've experienced over the last 30 years.

The ocean view from the rooms in tower 3 is amazing. The beach is nice. The kids could swim pretty far out and no one is bothering you to buy stuff. The biggest negative aspect of the hotel are the wheels on the beds. I’m sure they’re there to help clean, which is great, but we couldn’t find a break on them so they are constantly moving. We had to put our suitcases and chairs around them to keep them in place. I also wasn’t too impressed with the food. It was ok. Breakfast was good but the other buffets were alright. The biggest thing is there isn’t a huge variety so if you have picky eaters they might not find something they want. I would recommend the hotel with the warning about the wheels but I’m not sure I’d pay for all-inclusive. (We only had free breakfast but we ate at the hotel the first night for convenience.) There are several good restaurants within walking distance. The hotel is very low key and quiet. It’s far away from the party scene, which was great for our family. The staff was always wonderful and accommodating. Also, be careful when reserving here with kids. All our children are over 10 and considered adults at the hotel but I’m not sure that’s how it came out in the reservation. Checking in was kind of a mess because of that but the guy was very understanding and helpful.

Close to the beach. First stop for the bus routes. Friendly locals and staff. Parking lot is also close to the hotel: a two minute walk.

This is our third visit to Villa Varadero and we enjoyed it very much! The food is great with choices of meat, rice, potatoes and veggies served buffet style at every meal. There is also a grill and a breakfast chef to cook omelets and pancakes, etc. A special five course meal complete with wine is also available for visitors to sign up for. It is served on the beach in the evening at tables decked out with colorful table cloths and candles. The staff is very friendly, courteous and professional. Our rooms were cleaned daily, with fresh sheets and towels. The bar was well stocked and the bar tenders were great with mixing drinks to one's preference. The desk clerk staff was very knowledgeable about activities, restaurants, etc. in the area and prices, and will summon a cab for visitors. The activities director is adept at getting volleyball games and other activities under way for the younger adults and children. There is even a small market place kiosk on site with various items for sale. The Villa features several swimming pools, including one kiddie pool and one that has built in lounges for relaxing in the water. The beach is spacious and one is able to walk to the near by concrete pier that leads to the marina, or one can walk all the way to Puerto Vallarta via the beach front. There is a nearby bus stop that can be used to ride into Puerto Vallarta or to other destinations. It's a wonderful Villa to enjoy!

Our experience at Villa Varadero was a very pleasing experience. If you are looking for a catered to experience, this is not it. You do have to go to the bar, snack bar, restaurant. But the staff is very friendly and treat you very well. The hotel is nice, clean and our room was pretty nice. The bathroom sink/vanity area was the only thing that lacked in lighting and space. And no place to really unpack your clothes, there is a wardrobe and cabinet but no real dresser, but we were able to make due. The choices at the buffet and snack bar were pretty limited, but there were several really nice fairly reasonable restaurants in the vicinity. For what they charged for the all inclusive package it was great. Another REALLY nice thing was their beach area, HUGE and vendor free for the most part. So you could relax on the beach without being pestered by vendors continuously. LOVED it.

Due to the construction it is loud all day from early morning until evening. Cannot access the pool or ocean without taking a detour. The staff is ok, the room is ok.
