We booked our a air/hotel package deal with orbtiz . Booked based on traveling with myself, son and his two 17 year old friends. I completed the booking process and paid adult prices based on their ages. As orbtiz considers17 years olds child. Our booking according to hotel was two adults and two child. Although I paid 4 adults. When I arrived at hotel, i was ordered to pay 2100us as they stated they did not receive compensation for the 17 year olds. I paid as I am in Mexico. I am currently working with orbtiz and hotel to get my 2100k back. This was to be a grad trip, ended up being very upsetting. I'm hopeful the head conceriege at the hotel can help. I would like to note that my husband was not part of the package and he came for 4 days. I called the hotel ahead and confirmed they would charge 150us a day for all inclusive rate. When I got there they wanted to charge 220.00. We were able to get down to 150. We later heard some folks paid 75.00. I am hopeful. This will work out....

This was our first trip to Mexico and the Marival Residences exceeded our expectations by far. Everyone was so helpful and friendly and the food was great...definitely better than expected for an all-inclusive resort. Miguel was our server at the pool and he was amazing. Went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for our entire family. I'd come back just to see him again! One tiny problem... We stayed in a villa and there was a terrible smell in the master bathroom...turning on the fan made it worse. Other than that we have no complaints. One small suggestion: the room service menu was fine, but didn't have too many snack options...like food we'd want to eat late at night or while hanging out by our private pool. Would be nice to expand on that a bit. Would definitely come again!

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the resort. The food and drinks were excellent, the wait staff were stellar. The rooms are spectacular and very large.

It was our first time staying at an all inclusive and we were impressed with the facilities, staff and service. Only downside is you have to shuttle to the beach and I wish the wine selection was better.

This hotel is beautiful! This was the first hotel that actually looked exactly like the pictures. No construction, weird mildew smell, or strange disturbances. The food was Great if you are coming to Mexico to eat American food. They only had Mexican food night which was a bit disappointing. To actually have Mexican food you have to go to a restaurant in the sister resort which is a shuttle ride or 10 minute walk away. Also be careful if you have food allergies. The language barrier makes it difficult for waitstaff to understand when you're asking about allergens. The menus say gluten-free and vegetarian but they don't list what is nut free or dairy free. I would have wholeheartedly recommend this hotel until my doctor told me that what I thought were mosquito bites were actually bedbug bites. I was shocked considering the hotel was so beautiful!

Hotel was great, staff were exceptional and would do anything to help make your stay a great experience. The only part of thie I would change would be the beds, they are a bit hard but manageable for our stay.

We had a great time, the staff was great, the food was great, and the hotel was very clean. We would go back for sure!

Without having spent any time in Puerto Vallarta or surrounding areas I was a little worried the hotel may not be as clean or relaxing or full of time-share harassment, but I can honestly say this was one of the most amazing trips we have had. From the moment we arrived we were welcomed as though we were regular returning guests. We stayed for 7 days and wish we could have stayed longer (although a pretty nasty hurricane followed our departure so maybe it was for the best) We upgraded our room to the penthouse ocean view and were stunned with what we got, it was better than our apartment at home. Stunning view of the property and coastline with a rooftop deck with private pool, perfect for watching the sunset or even just a private soak. The restaurants were the biggest surprise, we can't say enough about how good the food is at this resort, I've been to a handful of all-inclusive resorts and it can be pretty hit or miss. We maybe had less than 3 items on the menus from the variety of restaurants over the course of seven days that I'd say we weren't happy with, two of which were from the sister resort a few blocks down. I loved the staff and their attention to detail, the food was great, the facility was clean and beautiful. The only thing that was a little different was that there was no direct beach access from our resort, we could sort of walk around some private homes to get to it or take the free shuttle to the sister resort which had complete beach access but to be perfectly honest the beach along this particular stretch of coast isn't exactly picturesque, the water was warm enough but not really the same sort of white sand you get in the cancun side. Not a big deal for us really, we were perfectly happy with the pools and activities we had available to us. Would definitely recommend looking into this if you are serious about having some R&R and great memories.

The hotel and room were amazing. The food at Las Palomas and Amalfi were great. Lemongrass was also good, and we liked that the restaurants on the residences side didnt require reservations. The manager at the vacation club presentation, Angela, was very pushy and actually turned us away from potentially buying the membership.

We had a great trip, the food at this place is very good compared to other options.

Marival was amazing, and my husband I would love to visit again soon. We went for our honeymoon, and had a wonderful time. The food, accommodations, service, and location were amazing. We recommended it to our friends for their honeymoon, and they will be visiting this year.

We loved to stay in this hotel. The room was very clean and comfortable. The only downside was that the bathroom did not have nonslip mats and the floor was very slippery (I actually fell down and hurt really bad). The swimming pools and spray water areas were great for the kids. The food was delicious! One last thing to consider is that the hotel is not right by the beach. So, if you want to go to the beach you either walk or take a ride from the hotel to another hotel (same chain) close by. Overall, we liked the hotel.

My daughter and I ran away for Thanksgiving. This was a beautiful resort with super friendly and helpful staff. We hope to return.

nice place in Nuevo Vallarta. The best hotel ever. There is a sister hotel nearby but not VIP.

The hotel staff was great. The rooms are amazing but the beds are hard as a rock! I have never stayed anywhere with beds so insanely hard. They offer a shuttle to their sister hotel which does have a beach. The roof top bar is small but it's worth waiting for a table. Absolutely spectacular at night. This resort is very quiet. There is no party atmosphere at the pool. If you hear any music it's going to be some quiet elevator music. The sister hotel has some very nice restaurants but make reservations early as they seem to only allow so many people in each night. Boogy boarding at sister hotels beach is awesome.

It depends on your expectations. It's a nice hotel, much better than most in Mexico. Residences are large and lovely. Rooms are quiet. Pool area is huge. Food is plentiful and the all inclusive is really worth it. The staff tries very hard to make it nice for everyone. Issues: need to take a shuttle to sister hotel for the beach. Shuttles were available, but it's a pain to have to do that before a walk on the beach. One tennis court in lousy condition frequently booked in better hours. The food gets tiresome after a few days. The breakfasts are the best. The fried items for lunch at The Lemmon Grass are horrible, heavily coated. The seafood was always mediocre. They try to hard for gourmet and it doesn't come off. The hotel atmosphere is modern and nice, but without charm; you could ne anywhere. Went into town and the city is horrible. The shops are all tacky. Airport works well. Beach is clean, water was warm during Xmas week, waves were large enough to be bothersome for swimmers.

Our family of seven adults and one toddler stayed at the Marival World Residences. We had a three bedroom villa and a two bedroom condo. Everybody had their own bathroom! The staff is always working on making the experience a positive one. This was our second visit to the Marival, and we will be back.

My friend had her destination wedding her and this place was perfect. It was so nice to go on vacation and not have to worry about anything. The rooms were super clean and spacious. The staff was accommodating and if you go to the beach at the sister resort you get your own VIP section with food and drink service.

Hotel was great, staff were exceptional and would do anything to help make your stay a great experience. The only part of thie I would change would be the beds, they are a bit hard but manageable for our stay.

amazing trip can't wait to return
