Beautiful resort. Completely renovated but still has old world charm. Lovely staff, right on the beautiful Isla Verde beach. Amazing pools. There's even a view from the fitness center. Hate that we had to evacuate but we will be back. Next time with the kids. Didn't get to try the restaurants but I read they were award winning. Loved Puerto Rico. So much history and charm and fun.

I liked it very much. Accomodating, friendly staff and comfortable rooms.

Love the El San Juan. The lobby is beautiful and lively. The staff is first rate and my wife loved her pool yoga class.

I loved that it had many pools and it was right on the beach. I didn't like that they provided no toothbrushes, toothpaste lol! For the price I paid for 7 days I couldn't even get free wifi nor breakfast for a family of 6. They charge for everything even towels if not returned. Guess everywhere you go it's different but my children had an amazing time which is what matters! Thank you

Very clean and well maintained property. It is near stores, restaurants. Plenty of staff/security so that people who are not staying there do not wander and use the grounds. The only glitch was the room safe was not working.

Some staff was purposely rude and you can tell they only cater to and are polite to certain guest.

I can honestly say that I enjoyed every part of my stay at El San Juan with the exception of check-in. When we arrived we were told our rooms would be ready in an hour. Over 2 hours later we were in the lobby watching guest after guest be checked in and given their room keys while we were still told there were no available rooms for us. We were supposed to have two rooms on the same floor so that our family could stay close but when we finally got rooms, we were two floors away from each other (after we were promised rooms on the same floor). We were very disappointed with the customer service during the entire check in process. On a brighter note, the hotel is gorgeous inside and outside, the gym was great and we had a great time during the rest of our stay. I would go back (with the hopes that check in would go much better!)

This was a really nice hotel! The staff is amazing!!!! We had the king room with no view and the room was beautiful. The night life was okay. Bravo is more for younger people. The main area where they have the bands/bars at night are beautiful. My only complaint would be the music. I was really hoping to come down at night and dance!!! The music was not as vibrant and kinda killed the mood.

The hotel was located right on Isla Verde beach. The beach was beautiful and the beach staff was fantastic. The pools were well kept and warm and had plenty of lounge chairs and there was plenty of pool space. 2 of the restaurants we ate at on site were very good but we did not enjoy the food at the Cana. We would come back to the El San Juan Hotel on a return trip to Puerto Rico.

The room was beautiful and clean... the the air conditioner worked good! The staff was friendly and pleasant! There is a gentleman named Jesse who works in the pool area that was extra helpful, kind and pleasant! Would definitely go back there!!

My husband and I just returned from a week's stay at the newly renovated El San Juan Hotel. The hotel and lobby look wonderful; the facility has been restored to its original grandeur! Rooms out in the villa area are also beautifully updated and appointed. We were met with friendly and accommodating staff in the hotel, at the pool, and in the restaurants. Christian was very accommodating and set up our chairs, towels, and umbrella each day. At the bar, Luis, Sammy, and Miguel kept us properly refreshed with wonderful libations, and Christian was constantly circulating to take bar orders. We ate breakfast each day at Caña and enjoyed a lunch and dinner there, too. The food, especially the breakfast buffet, had a broad and tempting selection with varied choices each day. Susan and Michelle G. saw to it that we had a beautiful pool villa and Gladys worked diligently to keep everything in our room clean and tidy! The room and bathroom were both very spacious and the rooms on the first floor have a patio and path which leads to the pools and sidewalks. They were also flexible with The only downsides were that Starbucks left the shopping gallery during the renovation last year, and the rooms in the pool villas are not very forgiving with noise. It's easy to hear your neighbors so we slept with earplugs to mitigate noise. One other suggestion would be to provide cushions for the pool and beach chairs. The existing chairs were not very comfortable for reclining or snoozing.

The hotel is beautiful with a nice charm. The hotel does not tell you on there website that Thursday thur Saturday male guest can't walk through Lobby with dress shorts, must wear dress pants. We were asked to use the side entrance . Felt very unwelcome. They told us that our 16 year old could not play pool with my husband , although we saw other small kids playing during the week. Drinks and food are way over priced $ 14 , for a small mixed drink. Bathroom is very small. Not family friendly atmosphere , dance club in the hotel.

The hotel was amazing. There was a special celebration the weekend that we went where everyone duped themselves into the ocean 7 times at midnight, so there was a huge party one night. Security was tight on the grounds because there is a club in the hotel, but as long as you are a guest you are free to roam and will never feel like otherwise or unsafe. The pools were amazing, the food was amazing. Since there was a huge party (the guest list was 2,000 people) I assumed they hired extra staff and they were rude to my friend when she was in a bathring suit trying to get into the lobby to get another hotel key but the hotel staff was more than accomadating. I will only book through orbitz and stay at El San Juan Hotel. The hotel was also just fully renovated.
