What a wonderful resort quietly tucked away from all island activity. The resort is located on one of the Rockerfeller estates from years gone bye. Along side the resport is the Rockerfeller preserve with walking trails and bike/running paths. A amazing addition to the main facility.
This is a lovely and romantic resort about on hour from Old Town San Juan. It's perfect for a romantic long weekend complete with beautiful grounds for running or biking, nice beach and a couple lovely pools. It's certainly not cheap but the rooms are fantastic and the resort oozes exclusivity.
The Dorado Beach reserve is a beautiful and huge domaine with white sand paradise like beaches, cycling paths, golf courses and beautiful gardens. The Ritz, which is the only hotel alongside private houses and villas, offers beach front rooms. The rooms on the first floor all have a plunge pool while the ones on the second floor have a wide terrasse overseeing the sea - with unobstructed views. We stayed on the East beach side, which is more private and secluded then the west side resort. Service is impeccable despite a few minor glitches, and the staff extremely professional and caring. All three restaurants offer great food and the main pool area is stunning. The hotel has bicycles available for all guests and exploring the reserve is a must. Two gyms are available, a smaller on the east beach and a very big a bit further in the domaine. We will definitely come back - often.
The Ritz-Carlton Reserve at Dorado, Puerto Rico offers an extraordinary experience to disconnect, enjoy and relax the beautiful landscape of Puerto Rico. An excellent and secluded beach, an outstanding pool, unbelievable food, among other amenities make this hotel one of a kind.
Amazing and magical place. It enchanted us! Looking forward to go back. The food is outstanding as well as the service! The beaches are beautiful, and the water was crystal clear. Being surrounded by nature was a wonderful and relaxing experience
Having been here before, I knew how great it was but it has been a couple of years since I have been back so things could change. The resort is lush, incorporated perfectly with nature, and the attention to detail is outstanding. Embajador service was much improved since my last visit and the hotel has two very nice pools that make it feel very spacious. The Spa at the Reserve is the best that I have experienced with vast open air services such as cold spa, hot spa and steam rooms. Additionally, the fitness center close to the golf shop is one of the nicest that I have seen during my travels. It is fully staffed with trainers, classes, tennis/basketball courts and a smoothie bar! Finally, don't forget to go to the Goodwinds Surf Shop and the restaurant at the end of the resort. This is a great hideaway with great food and retail opportunities. The staff did not advertise this spot so be sure to ask.
If you want to pamper yourself and your mate (and you have a few extra dollars), this is a beautiful facility to visit. The beach, the grounds, and the preserved tropical landscape serve to create a beautiful context for upscale accommodations throughout. The pool is fabulous, the spa is magical and the food is of great quality, especially at Mi Casa. Rooms have striking views and some have outdoor showers and plunge pools.
From the spa retreat to the personal butler service to the cooking class with Chef Rory and the views ... our anniversary celebration trip could not have been more relaxing and memorable. A true attention to detail is sought and achieved. You will never want to leave. The airfares to PR seemed cheaper than the surrounding islands, which was an added plus. Whether a long or short trip, you can't go wrong with the property. A truly unique experience where we felt like we were their only customers. Thank you, Embajadors Felix & Noel, and Elis in Guest Relations.
Even though I did not stay at this hotel. I had family members stay here and I visited a lot. And I have so many good things to say about this resort. First of all, the place looks amazing. And it is huge. With different sections and everything. But my absolute favorite part about the resort is the fact that they give you bikes associated with your room. So they are parked outside. I used this feature so much. Another way of transportation is by golf carts. There are different staff members for each section. My favorite was a staff member named Giovanni. He was so nice to me and my family. I highly recommend meeting him. He is mostly in charge of transportation. He will get the job done. He is so nice and friendly. Also, there are a variety of different restaurants you could visit. Some of them include Encanto, Panela and Positivo. All of which are very delicious restaurants. We had my cousins wedding at Encanto and this is a big area with a pool and a building where the party was located. By the was, not everything is listed in this review. There is plenty of more activities you can do at this resort. I would most definitely like to come back here again when I can. Highly recommended it!
While we moved right next door in Dorado, we come here occasionally to experience the Ritz spa and it ranks up there as the best in the world. Tranquil, beautiful, relaxing, hot pool, plunge pool, people are wonderful. Wish I were rich enough to come here every week. Highly recommend it.
