The staff was excellent. David was very friendly and helpful. The morning coffee was great! The hotel is dated but it was very clean and comfortable and we were able to have our dog with us! Thank you for making our visit great!!! We would stay again.

We drove as far as we cared too from Kansas City and decided to sleep here overnight before leaving early in the morning for Whitewater rafting the Royal Gorge. We were not looking for anything fancy, we just needed beds to sleep in. David at the front desk was incredible. Our mini fridge wasn’t working; we didn’t care, but we wanted him to know because of how nice and insistent he was to let him know of something was wrong. He said he’d fix it and we assured him we didn’t need it fixed (we used the forge in our kids room). He brought up a working mini fridge within ten minutes. He’s the reason for the 5 star review. I’ll gladly stay here again

The staff was very welcoming. Unfortunately, the place has not been upgraded in probably 30 years. The beds were old, hard. Worse night sleep I've ever had... and that's saying a lot! The pillows sub-par. Outlets hidden or so old that you had to prop the cord to assure they wouldn't fall out. Again, staff was very accommodating but the place needs a major facelift and TLC.

Top notch customer service

The hotel, room, parking lot was clean. We couldn't get our TV to work, and it was replaced within ten minutes. Top notch customer service. The only thing I would say negatively is that the mattresses weren't very comfortable, but I would definitely stay there again.

Warm pool after day of cold water rafting

Came to Canon City to go river rafting. Hotel was 10 minutes away. Clean. Affordable. (Little dated). Pool was nice and warm. (Hot tub out of order).

Someone was cleaning rooms at 8 at night. Woke us up several times. David was wonderful making us feel welcomed. May have been his mother in morning at check out was so sweet. Great place, price was great. Made sure I got ground floor too.

This place is old and smelly. There was no coffee in the room or in the lobby. No shampoo. Have no idea how this hotel ever got a good rating. Traffic noise was bad. It stinks especially for $99.

I was treated like a queen. I ended up staying 4 nights while husband in hospital and I was greeted by name every time. They made sure I had everything I needed. Friendly and caring

adequate at best

My stay overall was adequate at best. The room was as clean as it could be but most of the fixtures were way out dated and a few were in disrepair. There were ants crawling in and around the sink. the carpet was very stained and worn in spots. Same with the towels and linens. When I arrived to check in there was a sign on the front desk reading, "back in 30 minutes" no indication as to the starting time. Someone finally showed up 45 minutes from my arrival. This was not a good start. I will say the gentlemen working the front desk was pleasant to deal with and helpful. I would not recommend this as a good place to stay.
