Great location, helpful staff, good free internet and breakfast. The Grand Suite was not on the street so it was very quiet. No elevator so be prepared to climb.

The hotel is charming, the staff friendly and attentive, and the location excellent. We were close to the zocolo, cathedral and many markets. We ate a very good dinner at the hotel restaurant and the breakfast was also good. We wanted espressos at breakfast which they did not have so they ran out and got us one. They also helped us with getting a taxi for our return to Mexico City.

La Casona de la China Poblano is a first class boutique hotel. This was my second visit here. It is conviently located in the central historic district and it's only two blocks away from the Zócalo. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the wi-fi works great, fresh fruit and flowers are in the room upon arrival. The food is falulous too. Staying here is a treat!
The setting is perfect: Puebla is one of the most beautiful places ever!!!! La Casona is a precious structure that has been converted into a great hotel. The care people take into making your stay perfect speaks more than words.
Gorgeous rooms, comfy bed, good wifi, central location, professional staff. It's a special place. It's only fault is that I was unable to sleep at 10pm due to the music being played in the restaurant until 11pm. Otherwise, just lovely.
Elegant Hotel, nice presentation, very welcoming and helpful staff. Amazing location, but still quiet rooms (I was almost the only guest, but mild outside noise). I stayed in another hotel nearby a few years ago, and this one was a lot better. Rooms are big, with a sitting area, two sinks in the bathroom. Breakfast included was big and delicious : during weekdays, since occupation was lower. I could select anything à la carte, and during weekends, there was a big buffet. Always great mexican food. I would definitely go back to this hotel if I had the same great price ( I booked through an online agency and payed almost half the regular price). Good pick.
The room was incredible in every way, beautiful, spacious, comfortable, lots of light and also the possibility of darkening for good sleep. A true gem, BUT it is on a balcony that overlooks the dinning area, and there is constant noise coming up from that area. I requested that the music be turned down a couple of times, and they did. You can't ask people not to talk, though.
everything was perfect. charming old hotel in wonderful condition. our room was large, the bed so comfortable, lovely modern bath, wood shutters on window that made the room absolutely quiet. nice open sitting area on second floor just near our room. the staff was most helpful and friendly. i would stay here again. this hotel was the best we experienced in mexico--we were traveling for 3 weeks so had many experiences. we had breakfast at the hotel and one dinner--they were very tasty.
The hotel is outstanding. The restaurant is also very good. Our only complaint is the very small knobs on the shower and lavatory doors. Very hard to find the shower door knob when you've washed your hair and you're looking for your towel.
we had an amazing experience here. the only reason i'm giving it 4 stars is the noise from the courtyard.
