james at the front desk was excellent i wish they offered valet
Love staying at the Dean. Hooks that would let you reach for a towel while in the shower would be appreciated, as would an upgrade to the safety door in the lift. Otherwise a great place.
Convenient location. Spacious rooms, especially for the cost. Great in-hotel amenities, including a restaurant and karaoke bar! I did find my room’s location to be a little noisy, as it was near the elevator. Nothing unmanageable, though. Would definitely stay here again.
Aesthetically pleasing. Great location for our needs. Mattress was at the end of its life. Not much in the area of COVID-19 precautions such as available hand sanitizer, descriptions of cleaning protocols, etc. but common areas and room appeared very clean. Major downside was the late night noise. Everything happening out on the street was audible in the room. Impossible to sleep with music, vehicles and people. Other hotel patrons on the floor screaming and yelling in the hallways all night long. Overall not the best place to stay if you want to sleep. 😞
Nice boutique hotel. Convenient location, a short walk to Federal Hill or Downtown restaurants.
I was disappointed with my experience at this hotel. The hotel was understaffed. My room wasn’t cleaned and a fire alarm went off early one morning. My room also wasn’t ready when I checked in at 4pm. My room was damp and muggy. I never write reviews, but I felt I should here.
Very cute property with a great coffee shop on the first floor. Staff was very helpful + accommodating and checking in regularly to make sure we were happy with our stay. The room was comfortable and we had a great time staying here!
The Dean is a nice design hotel, but lacked in a few basics that I like in a hotel - refrigerator in the room, business center or a place to print something out, ice buckets, shower was super small. I think it's a good spot for a night or two at the most. I was there for a week and needed a bit more. Great location downtown PVD, but parking is tricky - $30/night valet at the hotel or about $20/night at the ramp next door which had tricky hours of operation. Construction next door was active well into the evening, heard jack hammering until 10 p.m.
Staff was really friendly and helpful for the check in and valet parking. They already put my luggage in my room while I was out watching Hamilton. That’s excellent service. The room was amazing with a beautiful view. Highly recommend this hotel to my friends and family for next visit in Providence!
I liked the style and quaintness of this place. Reminded me of the vibe of an Ace hotel.
Beautiful hotel was extraordinarily friendly staff.

Thanks for the great review. The restaurants near the hotel are to die for. Providence is definitely a great foodie city. Hope to see you back to try some of the many new restaurants that the city has to offer.

Thanks for the great review Maria. I am happy to hear you had such amazing service from James. The reason we dont offer valet is for the safety of our guests in these crazy times. Luckily we have the self parking in our lot next door which is a handy alternative. Thanks again for choosing the Dean.
