We had a great experience at this Hilton Garden Inn. The staff is friendly and very professional. We stayed at the Providence Hilton (city center) the night before but wish we had spent both nights at HGI. it is a very clean hotel. Breakfast was great and so was the staff. The price was a good match for the breakfast too compared to $25 per person at the Providence Hilton.
Stayed here for college orientation. Room is always clean, staff friendly and restaurant food is delicious. Also offers transportation to and from college or downtown! Great location across the water.
Nice hotel except what is becoming very typical of Hilton Gardens and Hamptons I stay at throughout the Midwest and here, the AC UNIT FILTERS were flithy, nasty and hadn't been cleaned for a very long time. Emails to Hilton do no good what so ever so Trip Advisor might be the means to get something done about this.
My husband and I had to change our original travel plans last minute. We decided on Providence, RI so we could celebrate our anniversary with family who live close by. We are so pleased we did! Upon checking in during an exceedingly busy summer weekend, we were greeted by a hospitable and professional staff. As Gold HHonors members, we are accustomed to being treated with the upmost care, but we were truly impressed by the efforts that manager Kyle and his staff made to ensure that we celebrated our anniversary in style. This included an upgraded room with an outstanding view and providing us delicious sweet treats that enhanced our celebration. To top it off, he wrote us a thoughtful letter that was left for us in our room . Kyle's courteous and personal treatment is why we will stay at the Providence Hilton Garden again. The exceptional concierge service, as well as the lovely surroundings sealed the deal!
Had a great experience all around. Nice location. Close to the water. Easy walk to the city, restaurants and the train station or capital. Great amenities on site... bar, restaurant, workout room, banquet room.
they advertise free wi-fi, but it didn't work for more than a few minutes at a time, then half the time you couldn't locate the wi-fi to log in again. It was better if you turn your device to no cellular service, but only barely.
The Harbor Side of this hotel has great views of the Seakonk River, India Point Park and the inner harbor. It is convenient to the I-95 and I-295 expressways. Rhode Island School of Design and Brown University are also nearby.
Stayed at this property with the family on the way to Martha's Vineyard. The property was very nice as the rooms were updated and well maintained. The lobby was modern and offered a nice eating area and a fairly lively bar. There was also a very nice sitting area with a view of the bay were you could eat a meal or have a drink. The hotel is also located in the middle of Providence so all the sights of the town are in a close drive or walk. On the negative side, parking can be a bit of a challenge - especially at night during the summer. Also, there really is nothing much around the hotel (its in a park area by the bay) so you will need to drive or take a taxi to eat or purchase refreshments.
I was very happy with my experience at the Providence Hilton Garden Inn. The bar area is especially nice with a decent selection of beer and liquor; a bright, area design and a full wall opened to a balcony overlooking the harbor. The rooms were very nice, the bed was comfortable and the whole property was clean and well staffed.
The room just had a general feeling of being unkept or a party room. Thid was not what I have come to expect from at a Hilton hotel. The bed was very uncomfortable. The coffee maker only had decaf pods. The ottoman in our room was scribbled. The shower had red lines that appeared to be nail polish.
