Courtyard by Marriott Providence Downtown

Had a nice time everyone was very nice and I would come back there

It's a nice hotel, well-located near the bus stops, RISD, and PPL. It's not exceptional, but I have no complaints.

I was in town for a quick meeting at the convention center and Courtyard was exactly what I needed. Front desk staff were pleasant and helpful. I had a late evening dinner with colleagues at the grill, which was fine. All in all, no surprises--which was perfect.

This hotel is very pleasant. Beds are very comfortable. The location is perfect. A bit pricey with limited amenities. No pool. The food on premises was a scaled-back, pricey Starbuck's that was closed for half the day. It was so bad that I walked to the next hotel where they had an excellent Starbuck's (not that I love Starbuck's...just a good coffee shop of a local variety would have worked even better). But as I said, perfect location downtown and very comfortable rooms.

Great last minute deal, great personnel, great location with accessible transportation and food options near by. Close to Brown University.

Shaky start this time but everything worked out well in end. We're convinced Courtyard by Marriott is on to something.

I was there for 2 nights on business. Rooms better than Biltmore. The bistro is a little weak. But overall, the stay was easy to say the least. The lobby seating area was also very functional, inviting and friendly.

Hotel is close to Dave and Busters, Mall, Water Place Park , Skating rink ect... Staff including Kasey is helpful and friendly

We went for a two day stay.Front desk staff very helpful in giving direction.Nice pool and whirlpool.Room very spacious and comfortable.

There was a great concert playing in a small stadium like area across from our room. We walked to the local mall and shops. Service was great at the front desk. We were there for only one night with the family, but over all it was great. Great spot to be in.

a few minutes from Brown - probably as close as you can get anyway - worked for us. fold out bed was not optimal for my son - but a 16 yo can sleep anywhere!

Excellent location for the Rock N Roll Providence half marathon. We had a perfect view, clean room and overall great experience! My only dissappointment was the pouring rain and I thought the staff could have had towels available as we came inside and the floors mopped. They were slippery in the elevator.

Stayed there for a night with a few friends. It's centrally located in the down town area, close to all things good in providence.

great location downtown Providence. We will be visiting this location again.

We were in town for one night, to see the Musical Mama Mia. The building is beautiful and location was primo. However, these rooms are equipped with "space heater" that are linked to the thermostat on the wall. This "space heater", when it came on was monsterously loud. So loud--we couldn't sleep. We ended up turning off the heat...and remember it 30 Dec 10 and there's snow on the ground. There was thin blanket on the bed--which would have been fine if the heat was on. At least there was one thin blanket in a drawer. Waking up to a cold room is not what anyone wants, let alone for a paid room in nice hotel. I wrote up the maintenance tag that was in the room and dropped it off at the desk when we left. The clerk was....not professional. I handed her the maintenance tag and told her the problem. She said, "Did you call maintenance?' Well....no. We got back to our room late and we were tired. We initially thought that we could put up with this noisy unit...that kept coming on, then off, then on.... We didn't feel like calling maintenance after 11PM (who knew when Maintenance would show up...or how long they'd be there). We had a great night and there is no way we were getting re-dressed and repacked to move to another room. The astonishing thing is the hotel clerk made no apologies or efforts to be nice (She could have at least said something like...We're sorry for your inconvenience). The shame of this was a nice hotel, a primo night for our visit to Providence only to be spoiled by a hotel that pays little attention to their rooms/maintenance issues, and not training their hotel staff to act professionally. I wished I could have written a glowing review.....but I can't. Not being able to sleep in a hotel room (noise), waking up to a cold room gets them a max of one star on any scale

Stayed here on a whim and it was the best decision ever. Front desk staff were wonderful, bedroom was comfortable and clean. Great downtown location in walking distance to all.

Providence Courtyard is right in the middle of downtown Providence. Union Station Brewery (part of the Jasper Murdoch's chain) is right outside the front door. Trinity Brewery is a few blocks away. It's a ten minute drive to see the Paw Sox. Great place to stay.

breakfast is just like the marriott residence, where breakfast is included. I was disppointed. If I was paying 15 dollars a person, I think we deserve a more approriate selection.

Perfect location to attend all the events at our daughter's graduation from RISD. Providence has a lot to offer but convient parking is low on the list. The Marriots location enabled us to walk to everything.
