Right the hotel is situated in Gaia cross the river from central Porto that would put you off, it takes just 10 to 15 min by bus and you are in middle of town bus number 3, 7 and 9 both direction goes to the central and very frequent and the hotel has a free shuttle on request to the nearest Metro, the hotel itself is within a big shopping mall (supermarket, shops and restaurants) the rooms are big and modern the stuff lovely and helpful and the breakfast got all you want and more, you get all of that with Half price what may pay in central in same Mercure hotel Now just little personal add the staff should well trained about Accor members vouchers as I did ask for a coke at the bar with my voucher and I have been denied that which was strange and I just left without drink, I guess it was morning no bartender just girls from the kitchen but still and another thing the hotel always put on hold 80 euros and the check out the got paid and cancel the 80 euros but they should know I wouldn’t be able to use that money till after 10 day which is long period, which I suggest they get paid at the check in better that holding a deposit Haven’t said that I’m still very pleased with my time there and will go back there if I visit Porto again 👍🏼
The hotel was not ideally situated for people who don't hire a car and dont wish to walk far. it is surrounded by roads/motorways with few paths. However after negotiating a way down to the river down a rough path then in between houses! It was a 30 min walk to Porto centre along a path down the side of the river making it a pleasant walk.In the other direction there is a lovely old fishing village about 20 mins walk, well worth a visit. It also has a great little restaurant Casa Machadoas . The hotel was clean, the staff friendly and attentive and the rooms had all that you need for a short break. If you like shopping a big shopping centre is across the court yard. It is a very quiet location so no noise keeping you awake at night. We did not have breakfast but did eat in the restaurant one night, whilst the food was ok. The soup lacked taste and my main course was only warm not hot so would not eat there again given the choice of restaurants a short taxi ride away.
Our stay with you was excellent. The hotel was easy to find and parking was secure and no problem even for our 4x4 vehicle. We chose a 'privilege' room which was well worth the small extra cost and was superbly presented. Staff could not have been more helpful and eating in the restaurant was relaxed and enjoyable. We would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and will definitely stay again if we return to Porto.
Very good location for the purpose of my visit. Good room with facilities for late arrival (tea and coffee). Good breakfast open till11h00. Nice staff at Reception. Bar staff needs more experience. Good value.
Very nice hotel, with a great location near to Arrábida Shopping center and with very good access to Porto from Arrábida Bridge. To access Porto the best way is by car, but is easy to call a taxi or an uber and the access to Porto is fast and cheap. The breakfast was great, and the staff was very nice and helpful. Next time I return to Porto I will stay here again for sure.
This hotel is luck to combine a sort of good things: - a short distance to Porto downtown ( 5 minutes taxi ride) - good room - good service - good breakfast - located inside Arabida Mall with all facilities you find in a world class shopping center
Very nice, clean hotel and room. Excellent breakfast with lots of choices. The hotel had easy access and is in a good location, easy to find, parking lot, quiet neighborhood. Friendly staff and good service. The bathroom needed some maintenance and the room was hotter than needed.
Hotel is near to the town, but alongside a shopping mall. Good rooms. Good breakfast. Plenty of safe parking available. We were driving south in the morning, and this suited us perfectly. Will stay again.
Staff pleasant and welcoming.Good comfortable room.Secure car park.Excellent breakfast.I enjoyed a few Portugese beers in the evening, chatted with the welcoming bar staff. My sat nav was playing up so the young lady on reception kindly got me a route map from the computer as I was going to a town 50 km from Fatima.I would definitely visit this hotel again. This hotel is pretty convenient for a business trip to Porto. It’s easy to reach, there’s plenty free space to park outside and the city center is not far; as well as the shopping center next door. The rooms are comfortable and sleep quality is also good, and the breakfast was also satisfactory. The only thing that I didn’t really like was the smell of the aisle in the floor I was; as soon as you come out from the lift, a strange smell was present. Thankfully it wasn’t like this in the room I was staying, otherwise I would have requested a room change. In my opinion it is not a very good but also not average, it’s then something in between
