This is my first time staying at a Staybridge Suites, and it will certainly not be my last! My only previous experience staying at an extended stay hotel has been the Homewood Suites and last year at an Extended Stay America (which my family and I absolutely did not like). We were staying in the area for my son’s baseball tournament and a lot of the hotels I looked at (including the team hotel) did not allow pets or were already sold out. We have two small dachshunds. Thus, we were happy to find this hotel that fit our needs and at the same price as the team hotel rate. Kyle was excellent in securing our reservation over the phone and then checking in with us before our stay to let us know the status of our room reservation as the room we originally had book had a pipe burst in it, so he had to switch us to a different room (and he wanted to make sure we were okay with the switch ahead of time…as opposed to us finding out upon our arrival). This is a brand new hotel, and it is very nice. There is nothing to complain about as everything from the fridge to microwave was clean and worked just fine. The hotel is located in a quiet area near commercial businesses and was conveniently located near the Gordon Faber Recreational Complex where my son’s baseball games were held and where he and his team saw a Hillsboro Hops baseball game. The hotel is located just a few miles from a grocery store, Starbucks, and lots of fast food choices. Also, if you want to visit Costco, or get gas there, it is also located a short 10 minute drive away. There is a designated pet area outside the hotel, and you can do a nice walk with your dog in the surrounding area if you need to which we did. While at the hotel, the staff were great. They greeted us when we came in the front door and gave our dogs biscuits. Whenever I needed anything, such as to exchange towels, they were very helpful. We opted to not ask for housekeeping during our stay, and if this suites you, you just leave a sign outside your door, and no one will bother you. I needed to use a washer and dryer to wash my son’s baseball clothes after each tournament day. They are free to use and are located on floor one. The only downside is that there are only 4 washers, so get in early if you need to get your wash done. We used the fitness room which is nice, but it only had one treadmill. However, my husband and I did not have a problem using it when we wanted to. My sons used the pool and had fun. If you like a hot tub, there is not one. The breakfast was nicer than most with fresh fruit, yogurt, sausage, eggs, and bacon. Hands down, this was a great property with great staff. The next time I am in Hillsboro, I am staying at this property, and I will not even look at another. Kudos to Kyle and all of the staff!!
Enjoyed staying here for the most part. New hotel. Nice accommodations. Good breakfast. Nice staff. Checkin was a breeze. Not sure why they needed my license plate though given it’s location in nowhereland. My main complaint is that the AC blows right on my face. Like the bed is right under the AC such that the AC blows right on my face all night. Very uncomfortable. Whoever thought of that design should be fired. One star deduction for the design. Otherwise a great stay.
This hotel had only been open 5 days when I was there. For the first few days there were only 1 or 2 additional guests. Weird. But by the time I left the parking lot was at least half full. Very nice extended day hotel. Good size studio suites. Nice big 42 inch TVs. The tiniest trash cans ever!
3rd time stay in this hotel for last t weeks. This is a just open hotel so everything is new. The overall hardware is very good. One bed room suite is decent w/ kitchen, cute but enough for short extended stay. Guest Landry is free. Rate is pretty nice in this area. People are very kind and smile always. Especially their assistant GM Patrick who supported me for the room upgrade, and Sales director Rebecca Bowers who introduced the overall suites environment and enjoy the free happy hours. it is very interesting that the app need me input Chinese while submitting the review, below is the Chinese version of the review.
