My room was facing an intersection. There was also a train right outside my window. It was very loud. The room itself was fine.
Room was clean and Hotel was close to Airport.Restaurant in main lobby looks nice,Did not get a chance to try the food though!
Beautiful building. Restaurant decent breakfast quality for price. Linens all pulled and rough. When I checked in asked for a quiet room not near ice machine. The desk person actually put me in a room abutting the ice machine. I can say the manager did correct this- but really! I was so tired and was looking forward to yummy bed linens but was disappointed by the pilled sheets (fitted was so rough) and poor pillow selection. But in all fairness the room was clean, quiet, and had I not been there in high season and robbed by an elevated price- it was likely a reasonable place
Didn't enjoy the train noise. Overall great staff, especially the the waiter from the resturant. She's really on top of everything.
Free shuttle bus to airport, friendly staff. I was very happy with the hotel in general, it has a good location, there is a big shopping mall close by
Portland is a friendly city. We arrived on rental car. The front desk staffs are great, adviced us on travel hot spots and features of hotel. We took the hotel shuttle to Pdx and took light rail to downtown. Room is good but there are signs of wear and tear on the hallway and escalator floor. Overall, I recommend this hotel to vacationer.
The staff greeted us upon our return from a long journey. The breakfast staff was also extremely friendly, and we were happy to have an American breakfast. The coffee could, however be improved. The rooms are comfortable and clean.
I read other reviews and didn't have high expectations but the hotel was much better than I anticipated. The location is close to the airport but there's nothing within walking distance of the hotel. It's in a somewhat industrial area and close to the train tracks. If that doesn't bother you, the hotel is clean, updated, and comfortable. The breakfast was included in our rate but is not included in all rates. The breakfast buffet was horrific. We had a better breakfast for free at the Oxford Suites. But the breakfast vouchers allow you to order off of the menu so I suggest that. If you stay here and plan to go anywhere you'll most likely need a car to get there because there's not much in the immediate vicinity. Otherwise, this was a fine hotel.
This hotel is convenient, clean and in the right location for my needs. The staff was helpful and the room was very comfortable.
It is great time with family.I don't have anything to say overall it is great....
The front desk staff was very nice and the amenities looked great! The room was very clean and the view wasn't too bad. The down falls: for me the bed wasn't all that comfortable, the room service was pretty over priced for the quality of the food and it wasn't as near to the airport as I thought it was going to be. Overall great place to stay, just know that it's not as close to the airport as other hotels.
I stayed here to be close to the airport after a long business trip. I really liked the restaurant in the lobby and specifically the fitness center. Good way to wind down with out leaving anywhere. Only thing that bugged me is the staff at the front counter. It has that environment where you see the giant smiles and bending over backwards for the guys in suits and the regular folk get the non verbal sign here initial here treatment. Once you get passed them its all good.
Loved it. Close to the airport and very friendly staff. The beds were extremely comfy too! I will definitely stay again!
Although our stay at the Holiday Inn was average, one thing that went beyond average was the way the hotel staff treated us. I honestly felt like royalty as they went out of their way to please us. These people were the best hosts I have ever had. I would go back to stay just because the staff were so exceptional.
The pictures from the website show a totally revamped hotel, which is true if you only look at the lobby. The rooms are still in need of some updating. The hallways are dark and the carpet is dingy. That being said our room was fairly comfortable and pretty clean. The old saying you get what you pay for rings true, not bad for $115.
I felt bad for the girl on a business trip ahead of me, "the lady on the phone said i could use this company card if i was an authorized signer" "No i'm sorry your name has to be on the card". Miscommunication is usually an indicator of bad news elsewhere, but the hotel was perfect for what I needed. The bed was very comfortable, even being placed right next to the elevator wasn't an issue, the room was quiet. Nice and close to the airport, but no noise from the planes. The restaurant had some good choices, though dishes are still prepared with standard institutional ingredients. Didn't seem to be much around the hotel for snacks/food but a short drive located a 7-11, and there's plenty of restaurants within 10 minutes downtown. Parking was easy, even with a packed hotel.
Convenient airport shuttle. Reasonable accommodations. Multiple security recommendations which made me a little nervous, but I had no problems at all.
Hotel has nothing near it. They are handicapped by renovation. People were nice.
The hotel is great, staff is awesome, and price was fair. There is nothing at walking distance from the hotel, so car is needed.
staff was not friendly the maid woke us up at 8:30 am wanting to clean our room. the rest of the staff acted as if they did not care .Floors had water on them NO wet floor signs. I will not stay there again.
