Clean and spacious room and friendly staff. I'll definitely visit here again.

Nice stay after we moved rooms. They are having some electrical issues.

I usually have good experience with Holiday Inns. Not this one though. Our room had ants. Lots of them. My daughter got bitten some which was concerning. While we were dealing with them, front desk and housekeeping bothered us (despite do-not-disturb) to ask what time we were leaving. This was at 10 AM while the checkout time was noon.

To be totally honest we stayed at this Holiday Inn because our usual place was not available. Now this Holiday Inn will become our new place. It's a little out of the way, but well worth the drive. We had a very comfortable and clean room and happy with all the staff we had contact with. Highly recommend this location.

the room I was put in was at the end of the hall next to the stair case and door. Not only did I hear people coming in and out all night and stomping up the stairs I also heard the people above me as if they were in my room :-/

The stay was great, comfy beds, big TV, close to the mall down the street. The staff was pretty good overall, they were helpful when needed. We had a few encounters with rude neighbors and a barking dog in a room next to us, but overall enjoyed the stay. Main downfall is location, the hotel is off the beaten path and not on the water like other hotels in the area. Unfortunately, when we left the hotel, we came to find a good sized dent in our car. The morning of our last day, there was lawn maintenance out and when we drove up our car they looked at us and knew they did something wrong. We could not figure out what they were looking at. It was not until later in the day we found out why. There is a golfball sized dent in our car from the maintenance guy. After calling and talking with the staff and GM, no luck getting it fixed. The GM called us liars and told us that the description of the maintenance guy didn't fit with anyone he knew, telling us that the hat we told him the guy was wearing just couldn't be because the maintence guy, as the GM said, doesn't wear a hat, (LIKE THAT IS ANY KIND OF AN ARGUMENT.) So, overall, the hotel is nice and clean, but be prepared to leave with a dent in your car.

We really were impressed, both the afternoon desk staff, and the lady keeping the breakfast supplied and clean were amazing. We had usually stayed at the best western at janzen beach, The holiday inn was so much better, comfortable, inviting, friendly, great breakfast, with eggs, pancakes, bisquits, sausage gravy, sausage, bacon, cereals, fruit, etc. And, blanket on bed covered by sheet, so that one does not touch anything previously used. Across the street from RV park if u have someone staying there

Friendly folks but room could use a bit work for cleanliness.

It was a perfectly nice stay. I would have liked the breakfast better if bacon and waffles had been offered instead of pancakes and sausage.

Just what we were looking for--clean, comfortable, close to Portland, and amazing breakfast! It included scrambled and hard-boiled eggs, bacon, biscuits, gravy, a pancake maker, bread, English muffins, bagels, bananas, oatmeal, milk, yogurt, coffee and tea. They seemed to have run out of juice that day, though! Would stay there again anytime.

The hotel was just fine. Staff was VERY friendly and helpful. Breakfast was eggs, sausage/bacon, biscuits, gravy, etc. GOOD, easy location to drive to downtown. Minutes from airport and downtown. On the border of Washington, so a nice river beside it... :) Also a giant Target/mall/eating place practically next door.

Stayed at this hotel for 7 days and will stay there again when I go back. There was staff to help with the hot/cold breakfast buffet so everything was kept clean and the food was always fresh. I was very impressed by the complimentary breakfast. The location was ideal for visiting all around the Northern part of Oregon and some of Washington. There was plenty of shopping and restaurant all around. Only our room staff was a little disapointing..... we had to ask for shampoo and got it only the second day after leaving our note. They dropped our pjs on the floor and did not pick them up?!? The room was clean but we got the feeling they were doing it too fast for the job to be really well done. I loved having a sitting area with a desk and a loveseat. Overall great hotel!!

The Janzen Beach Holiday Inn Express met our need very well. The freeway is buffered by a large shopping center which made the stay very quite with the access to and from Portland is very direct. The price was a good value when you compared it to the hotels for the area. This was not my first pick but I'm glad that they had rooms available. I will strongly consider this location for future visits to the Portland area.
