no breakfast, people above me walked back and forth, out on the street it was. very noisy i just couldn't sleep. but the rooms were very clean.

A friend and I stayed here for one night and the room was clean and comfortable. Throughout our stay, we met three of the staff members and they were all very helpful and friendly.

I won't be there for a second time, sorry. I rather add a little more money to stay in a better place.

We spent one night here because we had a 5:30 am flight out of Portland. This place is close to the airport, clean and not far from other fun stuff. If you want a super nice place, this isn't it. If you want an economical stay close to the airport, this is for you.

Staff were super friendly and nice. It was very close to downtown portland. Now the room wasnt the nicest, true, but it was still nice, small but homey, and for the price you cant complain. Any flaw was easy to over look by how clean the place was and niceness of the staff.

Owner was very pleasant and made me feel very welcomed. The room was spacious and clean. The bathroom is dated but clean. For the price and location, it's a darn good deal!! The lobby is a good place to relax/read in the morning with a cup of their complimentary coffee. It's mid-century designed and quite nice.

This place used to be a Travel Lodge. Not nice, not nasty. Just an average budget motel with basic amenities. Walls are SUPER thin though. Neighborhood was noisy with sirens, cars, and music from local bars. We stayed here so that we could walk to the Bossanova for a concert. Overall not a bad stay, but I wouldn't stay here again.

This was a nice hotel for the price and the new windows were great

Had a great stay while visiting Portland. No issues with staff or room. Strongly recommend this place if you don't want to spend large amount on a hotel.

Hotel is situation near amenities but it's so noisy. We had trouble sleeping because Couch St. backed up to the hotel. Pay a bit extra to sleep!

Located within walking distance to restaurants and Powell's Book Store is just down the road. The staff is friendly and keep hot coffee and tea in the lobby. Always a restful stay and value for your money.

Decided on this hotel because of how close it was to the convention center, literally a 10 minute walk. We attended both days of rose city comic con, and we managed to keep our goal of not having to use the car all weekend. There were several places to eat, all within a very short walking distance, so between that and the convention center, the location couldn't have been more perfect for us. The man at the front was very helpful and informative. The hotel is rather old however and does have a certain smell to it, but the room and bathroom were very clean. Loved the high water pressure in the shower and we kept the air conditioning on all weekend with no problems. The free parking and wifi were great. Overall, it's a lower end hotel, but perfect for people like us that just wanted the basics because we were gonna be out and about all day.

The room door opened slowly in the night, we jumped out of bed and the door closed, slowly. The coffee wasn't very good either.

On multiple trips to Portland this has been the place I stay or attempt to stay. Although it's not a swanky place, it's comfortable and a great place if you don't want the extras. What really sets it apart though is that it's in a great location, one of the less expensive places to stay and the staff are very helpful. I usually stay here to go to the Oregon Brewers Fest and can easily walk across the Burnside bridge to the park it's at w/o much strain. Plus, there's a streetcar connection within a block and a lot of places to eat, drink or party nearby.

Great location, near everything. Interesting restaurants and things to see within walking distance. Try the Jupiter restaurant across the street. Powell's Book store is a must see. Our king size bed was so cozy, the room was clean, and the staff was friendly and very helpful. Outstanding value for the price. We will be staying here again.. : )

The staff was very friendly. Its right across the road from Doug fir, and close to the bus lines to downtown. You can also walk across the burnside bridge to the downtown area fairly quickly. Great location. Rooms had Air conditioning which was nice. Only negative would be our iron did not work which made prepping for a wedding difficult, and the room was a little dirty and dated.

So, I was close to giving this hotel 3 stars. The room was nice, but not great. The air conditioning didn't work. Things were a bit scuffed up. However, we had no troubles with the staff. It was a great price. The mini-fridge was a great addition. And it was close to a lot of different things.

Did not enjoy the smell of our room and our bathroom was old and not very clean. It is at a good location next to restaurants, bars, bus stops etc. but I guess that is common for a lot of Hotels in Portland.

The only good thing I can say about this hotel is that when I left my wallet downstairs on a table in the "courtyard" it was returned to me when I inquired. Otherwise, the room STUNK, the light switches were STICKY and we were both way to grossed out to use the shower in the morning after a night of drinking and exploring the cool shops and eateries in the area. This was a first for me...I typically can roll with the pros and cons.

Centrally located, food trucks across the street. An easy walk across the Burnside Bridge to Voodoo Donuts and the Portland Saturday Market. Clean, simple and an enormous amount of cable channels for when I got back at 2 AM and was munching on chicken wings from the Just Wings truck across the street.
