Clean, modern, comfortable. I slept well. You will too.

I stayed for 2 nights during my visit to Portland for a trade show. I carefully conducted a thorough search of all of the hotels in the area online... based on the great price and the lovely photos I thought this hotel would be ideal. The room I got was nothing like is shown online... it was as ordinary as other hotels at a lower price point... plus I got assigned a handicap equipped room which resulted in a very tiny bathroom sink area with minimal room for my toiletries, etc... and there was a walk in shower stall - with a too short shower curtain so when the shower was used the water ran across the entire bathroom to the drain that was way over by the toilet. There were several pillows on the bed - but I had to stack them to get any level of fluffiness/comfort. The first night was the noisiest night I have ever spent in a hotel - children were unattended and ran up and down the corridors at 1 to 2 am, the room had a door to an adjoining guest room and the lack of soundproofing meant I heard every loud noise the couple in the next room were making at 2:30 in the morning. I inquired the next morning if the occupants of that room were checking out - and if they were not if I could change rooms. I also stated that there were children running up and down the halls in the early morning hours. I was flatly told I should have called down to the front desk when it happened. No apology for the rude guests. Bistro was closed the one evening I intended to order from it...

Nice place to stay but on this trip the room was too warm. We even set the thermostat the lowest it would go - 65. As we were making a drink a large bug came crawling across the counter. We put it in a cup so the staff could see it. It was a little creepy. Kept looking for another one. The staff said they were sorry and gave us free coffee. Would have liked some vouchers for breakfast. Oh well.

Great place to stay overnight before trip, easy check in and out, provide transport to airport

Everything was perfect. Staff friendly, Room comfortable and clean. Location was wonderful: close to the Mall and 5 minutes from airport. The only defect is the ice machine whose noise woke me up every half an hour during the night. A simple door to close the ice machine spot would solve the problem and make the stay great.

When we stay at a Courtyard we know exactly what we will get No surprises

This is an ordinary Courtyard (which I usually enjoy; it is my "go to" motel when traveling), but the staff made this one special. It is worth the stop.

The hotel staff is as friendly and accommodating as one might possibly desire. They are content to be helpful, courteous, and helpful with their knowledge of South Portland and beyond. The parking lot is safe and well landscaped; even the strip of trees between the hotel and the next establishment is clean and well-kept. The entire hotel is impeccably tidy, and all facilities/amenities are in good working order. There's no visible sign of wear and tear to the carpet or other furnishings in the guest lounge area. The conference room, pool room, and workout facility all appeared to be in spotless condition. The room smelled fresh and the carpet are free from that greasy, nasty feel that seems characteristic of hotel carpets everywhere. The beds and bedding are fresh and comfortable, and the guest laundry facility lacked only the air of despair one usually associates with public laundry facilities. Housekeeping is prompt and cheerful and ready with a never-ending supply of towels. The room art is tasteful and the furnishings comfortably adequate. I really enjoyed the convenience of The Market, a little area beside the check-in desk, where one can go and purchase snack foods, drinks, a toothbrush, headache remedy, or whatever one might have accidentally left on the bathroom counter at home, in the heated rush of packing. Best of all, though, was the Bistro! The food was unparalleled. As a life-long Texan, I was not in the slightest bit disappointed with either the bacon-cheeseburger or the chili (and I certainly know the good stuff from the other stuff, and the chili was divine). The dining area was impeccably clean, the visible area of the kitchen was sparkling, and the staff was fun to speak with. I would highly recommend The Courtyard by Marriott to anyone requiring a stay in the Portland area! We had a brilliant week!!

The experience and hotel was average. I thought we would be getting a complimentary breakfast with the room and was very disappointed that this was no longer available. And the prices for the breakfasts available were atrocious!

This is a good hotel if you are coming through Portland, or need a place to stay near the Portland airport, or just off 95 or 295

Great restaurant recommendation, accommodated my change in shuttle time. Helpful, dependable.

Stayed overnight before a flight. Everything was nice here.

We're a large family flying out of Portland from Nova Scotia great location and staff were more than wiling to look after us. I'd have no reservations recommending this location

This hotel had nice, comfortable, clean, spacious rooms. The pool was on the small side, but had a hot tub, which is nice...the breakfast was just bakery and cereal items, no hot menu items. Overall, it was okay.

Overall average, location of room next to Ice Machine and Elevator, noisy.

very easy to get to, very clean, and very quiet. Thought that would be a problem being near the airport but no problem at all! Definitely will return

ok, clean

Mariott Courtyard is conveniently located next to highway. Staff was professional and courteous. Very knowledgeable about the areas and took time to give us the options that allowed us to enjoyed the evening.

We used the pool, it was clean but small. The hot-tub was standard size but the bubbles were not working, the timer seems to be stuck on 15 minutes but nothing happens. The rooms were very clean, probably the best room I've stayed in since I stayed at Mandalay Bay in Vegas. That is the only room I stayed in that is better than this one by design. We had a room with King bed, free internet, I think a 32" or so LCD TV, a couch, table, fridge, etc. I've recently stayed at Marriott Rivercenter in San Antonio (nice) but this one i think is nicer room layout. I also recently stayed at Crowne Plaza Hotel THE HAMILTON - WASHINGTON DC. The Courtyard Portland is 10X better than the Crowne Plaza at ALL aspects. Nicer bathroom, nicer bed, bigger room, cleaner. I would stay again if i visit Portland again.

Although not at waterfront, it's an easy drive away. Best of all, easy to get to airport. Nice staff. Nice breakfast. Super to have free Internet in room. As always it's extremely clean!
