A very nice place off the beaten path. The place looks great. I was there off season so the place was not very busy. I only stayed one night snd spent very little time at the hotel. The staff was friendly and efficient.

We arrived at 2:40 pm. There were about 3-4 cars in the parking lot. The lobby and inn looked like empty. The guy at the front desk informed that check in is at 3:00 pm and if we want to check in they charge $20 for early check in haha. $20 for 20 minutes with no one around. It’s not like they would have to get the rooms ready. Then he gave us a room that had the door broke. He told us we would have to lift the door every time when we wanted to close shut because it was “misaligned “. He asked if we want to do that or get a different room. There were other guess at the inn, why would he even offer a broken room. We did ask for another room. The staff is not the friendliest. Will probably stay at different place next time.

Property was generally fine. Breakfast was very limited, but worked for a single morning. Access to the site was problematic with road construction around the property and some challenges finding how to access the property late at night. Check in was late at night, and we did not have problems getting into the building, but it took 20 minutes for the host to come back.

Nice, but needs a bit of updating.

The Inn is very nice. Rooms need some upgrading. Our bathroom ceiling had water damage from above us. The lighting was so dim, lighting needs an upgrade. We never tried the breakfast so I can’t comment on it. We were there during the Christmas holiday, so it was very quiet and empty. The speakeasy wasn’t open. The location doesn’t have a lot around it and there was construction on the road that the inn was located on. It was a bit difficult to find but once we did, it was okay. Had a balcony, which is probably very nice when the weather is warmer. Our view was a gully, bare trees and homes across the gully. The cost was reasonable and it was beautifully decorated in the lobby. We would stay here again in the future.

The Spring House Inn was just perfect for my trip to Indiana Dunes National Park. It was quiet, quant and suited my style perfectly. The pool was heated, which was great after a beautiful, but cool day in the park and the sauna was a nice touch. The only dings I would give it is that the breakfast was limited and the same both days. There is obviously some construction going on right near the property. I'm not sure what is going in there, but it could either make it or breath the atmosphere of the Inn. Also, unfortunately, Uno's Pizza was closed the evening we had intended to eat there. I would highly advise others to check this place out. It is unique and a hidden gem.

It was nice and comfortable and very clean. This hotel has been improving each time we go there. We were very pleased with the service, the condition of the hotel, and the great wooded country setting. Makes for an excellent getaway. And it is generally priced Right. We'll be going back.

Cute atmosphere for the holiday season. Our group loved the sauna to warm up after walking around in the snow. Cute outside hanging areas. We have been coming back for years. Also enjoyed the addition of the pizza uno just across the parking lot. Only downfall was the breakfast. We used to look forward to the breakfast because it was better than your typical hotel breakfast, but this year was not the case. Lacking in offerings, and the sausage was a questionable color.

This was a vintage chalet type property with a spectacular solid oak floor (that was in need of refinishing). The view from the room made me feel like I was living in a treehouse. There was a nice balcony. Room was comfortable. Decor was very nice and pleasantly decorated for Christmas. Hot breakfast. Staff were pleasant. Stairs. I enjoyed my stay here more than the Ritz.

This is my favorite hotel in Midwest. Has definitely New England vibe. Super clean, comfortable beds with cotton sheets. Good breakfast (waffles, pork links, yogurt and juice). Near by Indiana Dunes parks and safe neighborhood
